This plan ain't rocket science and it ain't the easiest thing in the world but it does work! You have to get into a routine of fixing your meals the night before so you can take them to work. You eat a ton of food. It's extremely bland but you eat constantly. The thing I liked about this plan is that it's very healthy. You eat good carbs, lots of protein and plenty of veggies. I lost about a pound per day the first couple of weeks and then a steady amount thereafter and that's without exercise. I never did the exercise part of the plan but I'll bet it helps a ton. The plan educated me and completely changed the way I eat. The book that tells you what to eat in any restaurant, alone, is worth the $200. I highly recommend the 6 Week Body Makeover!

I purchased the 6 Week Body Makeover 1 month ago. So far I'm down 35 pounds. I started around 170 pounds, not TOO heavy, but the weight just melted off on this program. The key is to drink lots of water and eat small, low sodium meals throughout the day. I was never hungry on this program. Some people say the food is bland, but you just need to be creative and use spices other than salt. The first day I was down 3 pounds. By the end of he week I was down 13 pounds. If you follow the plan exactly the way it is, it's impossible to not lose weight.

I had my third child 7 months ago and needed a healthy program to help me lose the weight I gained from my pregnancy (56 lbs). I've struggled with weight all of my life, trying most popular diet programs, diet pills/drinks, etc and went on a rollercoast ride. I'll admit, I'm very impatient and have unrealistic expectations. I want results NOW or else I easily get discouraged. I know that isn't the right frame of mind, but I'm human. I bought this program right before the new year because I got fed up with having low self-esteem and wanted to get healthier so I could be more active with my kids. I called the customer service number on the website because the internet doesn't allow you to chose the payment program (6 payments of $19.99) as offered (the first payment however is a little more because of shipping and handling). The CSR was wonderful...professional, encouraging and answered all of my questions. I started the program Jan. 1st, 2009 and weighed 221. I weighed myself this morning and weight 215. I lost 6 lbs in 3 days! I know the first week generally provides the quickest weight loss because its water loss, but I am staying positive. My body type omits sodium, sugar, dairy, simple carbs and red meat. I eat lean meats such as chicken, tuna and turkey (approx. 2-3 oz per meal) and a lot of veggies (greens). I am able to have a small amount complex carbs, a small amount of certain fruits (which definitly helps with the sweet cravings) and it is recommended to drink 100 oz of water a day. I have to admit, yesterday (day 3), I was on the verge of tears and wanted to quit or at least cheat a little and eat something sweet or salty. I got tired of bland veggies and at night, I was very hungry! I'll be honest, the first few days have been difficult, I've been hungry and don't enjoy the food. However, I focus on the weight I've lost already and I truly feel great! I have more energy, see results already, plus my body is adjusting to different foods and time schedule, so I believe the hunger is a result of that and not lack of food. However, it is getting easier, day by day. PROS: This program blueprints your body, helps you realize how your body/metabolism functions, teaches you about proteins, carbs, sodium, etc., customizes an exercise program to meet your specific needs to reach your goals, (the exerises are fun, not strenuous, doesnt require a lot of time, doesnt require a gym and you can do it in the privacy of your own home!) It provides a lot of useful material to track your daily/weekly progress, recipes that are actually delicious, dining out guide and tips on how to lose weight according to your goals and needs (I'm doing the fast track program for rapid results, so therefore, I'm making the largest sacrifice when it comes to my meal plan.) For those who love cooking and flavor, there are gourmet recipes that allow you to enjoy more foods and also a program for those who don't want to think that much about what to prepare and follow a simple outline of easy to prepare foods. There is a money-back guarentee, 24 hour support hotline, and most of all, the material provides a lot of education, interesting facts and encourgement to make a life long change. The part I love the most is that Michael Thurmond understands that people may fall off track, understands why they do, explains that it's ok (you're not a failure) and then encourages you to get right back on track again. CONS: Restrictions of certain foods, sodium and drinks that most of us are used to eating/drinking daily. I don't care for veggies, so this was extremely hard for me and I find the food very bland no matter how I season it (according to the suggestions in the program). But...keep in mind, this is a personal opinion and to others, this may be easier. Also, keep in mind that there are 5 different blueprints (I believe) and the food choices are different for each. Your menu may be completely different than mine...so give it a try! If you are serious about losing weight, tired of feeling crumy, lack energy, not happy with the way you look or how your clothes fit, try this program. What could you lose other than weight? Remember, there is a money-back guarentee. Note: I was a Kinesiology major and have to admit, I learned more with this program than I did in college courses majoring in fitness and health.

I started this program on Sunday, Nov. 23. Weight at 266.5 pounds and today (Tuesday), I weigh 262. I checked three times. I am following the plan - type A, however this morning I felt a little light headed. Giving up breads, sweets and pasta is extremely hard for me. My target is to stick to this for 6 weeks. I will keep you posted.

It ain't cheap or easy but it works! I ordered this and the weight melted off. It truly was amazing! I will say that it does require some work in terms of preparation. This program has completely changed the way I eat. One of my favortie things is the book that tells you what to order in each restaurant. I would highly recommend this!

I ordere the 6WBMO and to my surprise it works. 6 meals a day with 2 oz on average of meat a day, your carbs and such. Plus you have the free foods you can eat more of if you're hungry. It really speeds up your metabolism, but I highly recommend supplementing. Until you lose the weight you need to and start the Living Lean which is the maintenance program, you won't be having ANY oils, butters, dairy, salt, or sugar of ANY kind. So, you MUST supplement with this weight loss program. Once you hit living lean you start eating those things again. There are quite a few options to create a variety of meals. The forums are helpful and people there are very supportive. There are sections where people share their recipes and sugar alternatives. [] is the best one as there are no carbs and it is a plant not a synthesized chemical that's a derivative of a plant. All in all, this is an excellent program. The exercising is easy, and invigorating, you just need to stay motivated because this is more than a diet it is a lifestyle change. If you don't like this change then this program is not for you.

So far, so good - I'm motivated, satisfied with my meals, and appreciate the body blue print, and the pages that allow you to chat your success with measurements and places for your before and after pictures. I also purchased the Smart Techniques and they relax me and motivate me. I love this program - it's the healthiest way to do it.

I bought this product a couple years ago when I gained a little more than the freshman 15 in college and it worked amazing! I dropped all the weight I wanted to in the 6 weeks. Now, I am at my typical weight I have been most of my adult life and just 3 days ago to loose ideally 15 lbs for an upcoming trip and have already lost 4lbs. I have been 150 for the past few years and on other diets seem to be stuck at that weight give or take a pound so I thought this was the weight my body was supposed to be and i couldn't lower it. I forgot I had the program in one of my closets and brought it out and started up again and am still shocked at how great this program is. I don't understand how people can complain about being hungry on this meal plan. If anything there metabolism is getting used to the new schedule. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to loose weight.

Okay so I am starting this today and already I am so hungry! Talk abou fast weight loss because you are starving! 2 oz of protien per meal is nothing! I am not huge or anything, I have about 30 pounds to lose so I thought this would be awesome, but man I feel very deprived. So I already cheated an ate 3 crackers and 3 pieces of garlic toast, the tiny little crispy ones, so I would have to say try [], because 6WBM is just unrealistic and it makes me starving for anything I can reach for.

This program works! It does take a bit of planning. But shouldn't we planning what we eat anyway? Not planning is how we end up eating junk fast foods. If you put in just a bit of effort you can spice up the food to make it very tasty. Cinnamon, Splenda brown sugar, frozen blueberries in the oatmeal. [] has frozon rice that only takes 3 min. in the micro. There is ketchup, dressing, marinades and all sorts of recipes that come with it. More flavor? Add more seasoning! You will barely miss the salt. This coming from someone who likes her salty stuff! Be creative, not lazy. Follow it closely and you will have success. I find it easy as long as I don't skip meals that is when you get weak and eat poorly. The plan is very complete. Ya, you may be able to get the same info. cheaper but not in a tight little clear cut package that contains everything to change your way of life. Eat to live don't live to eat!

I started the 6WBMO. It is strict, but if you are motivated and find ways to stay motivated it is great. In 2 months I have lost 45lbs. I feel great. I have a ways to go but I have learned so much from this program. I learned how to eat foods for my body type, that I cannot eat carbs or fruit without getting the right amount of protein. I learned how to make fish taste good. If you make the plan work and do right then you cannot fail. It is great. I wish I could meet Mr. Thurman so I could tell him thank you in person for making this info available to everyone. It is not easy, it is not just handed down to you. You have to work at it and you half to realize you will make mistakes and let it go and get right back on the plan. I do't regret trying it and I would buy it again. Study up on it make sure you know what you are getting yourself into and go into it full force. The best program I have ever tryed. I was thinking of saving money for surgery to help me lose weight, I don't need surgery and with this plan you don't either!!

I ordered this product for the first time as a junior or senior in college. I was living away from home and did not have the sense of mind to be successful so I returned it and was refunded my money. Fast forward about seven or eight years here I am, still morbidly obese. I've seen the infomercial so many times and finally just called to order the program. Yes, the person taking my order did try to sell me other items, but this is their job and they have rules to follow, I just said no what I didn't want and placed my order. My product arrived in a couple of days, as I'd upgraded. I began on Friday, August 8th at 358.6 and this morning, I was down to 342.8 - almost 16 lbs in less than two weeks. The plan works if you work it. I'm a Type A and while my food choices are somewhat restricted. I can still have so much. I can have rice and potatoes, chicken, turkey, lean pork chops, and beef, and fruit. What is surprising is that I've been able to give up the sweets without any struggle and I significantly reduced the amount of salt I add to foods. If you are serious about feeling better about yourself and losing weight, this program works. I've tried other programs and will transition to another program once I have taken off quite a few more lbs, but don't knock it until you've actually tried it.

PROS: This eating plan will work for ANYONE who can follow it. This plan is based on good nutritional science. To succeed you must have willpower, lots in the beginning, endure headaches caused by your body adjusting to less sodium/sugar/chemicals in your diet which should pass in a few days, and plan/pack to be able to eat appropriate foods every 3 hours also not easy in the beginning. CONS: The basis of the plan for ALL the body types are the same: eat 5-6 small meals with each meal being a small portion of lean protein, lots of green vegetables and some low sugar fruits. Sound familiar? It should. It's the same as the [], [], [], the actual [] plan and even the new pyramid diet. And, like all those plans, you are recommended to do both aerobic exercise and weight/resistance training regularly. So the real question is not if it works, it's if you want/need to pay $120+ for a folder outlining an eating plan that's published for little or no money elsewhere. I didn't, so I returned the program and eat healthfully 5 to 6 times a day.

Been on this program for over 8 weeks now. I lost 20 pounds the first 6 weeks. Basically, it is a terrific plan that is not easy to follow unless you are committed to it. I made sure I had the foods I needed in the house. I cooked most of my food for the week on Sunday. I brought my mid morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack in containers to work. The important points are to eat every 2-3 hours and to drink 100 ounces of water a day. (I didn't think I could drink that much, but now I'm used to it.) Those 2 points make a huge difference. Yes, I use Mrs. Dash instead of salt. I use Splenda instead of sugar. Yes, I avoid dairy. At my doctor's appointment last week, she was thrilled with my blood work. I told her about the plan and her response was that I should eat this way for the rest of my life and that I had probably reversed the onset of diabetes. She lowered my dosage of thyroid and cholesterol medications. I never had any headaches. I have lost many inches, especially off my waist and hips. It isn't always easy. I am not always perfectly on plan. But when I am, it always works and I feel great. Jeri

I bought this product in July of 2007, and used it perfectly for about 4 months. I lost 40lbs in 4 months when following the plan properly. Then I went on a cruise, had holidays, etc, and went off the plan. (It is virtually impossible to follow if you don't have control of what food you are eating) My intention was that I would maintain if I just ate sensibly. However, even though I know how to eat sensibly, and did a pretty good job of it, I gained back 15lbs between October and March. It IS a healthy plan. It DOES work. However, for me, it ended up not being worth it if I can't eat "normal" food with my family, and if I end up gaining when I go off the plan. It isn't the kind of thing that I could stick with permanently.

Not all people can eat Dairy anyway, as I am Lactose intolerantI do not "Crave" Dairy and never have and I have had bloodwork done (while on this program) and I am not deficient in anything and plus my blood sugars were stabilized (as I am a pre-diabetic), besides I would prefer to get most of my viatmins & minerals from fruits, vegetables & good carbs!! So, I do get tired of hearing this is too hard or I hate preparing my food, too lose weight this is what it takes to lose weight!!! YOU can make it work for you, I eat several times per day and am satisfied!! I am able to go out and eat anywhere, but I make choose carefully what I eat as I eat small portions and just plainly ake the right choices, AGAIN - not everything works for everybody and losing weight does take some effort on your part, as there is no miracle cure but hardwork!!! The best of luck to all who find something that will work for your situation!!!

UPDATE: Kaela of California - you are incorrect. Your views of dairy products are skewed. Milk has 3 things in it that affect your body. Fat. Calcium. Vitamin D. You dont need the fat, sweetie. You DO need calcium and vitamin D. Do you really believe that milk is the only place you can GET those nutrients? Go find an educated doctor/dietician and ask them. What do you suppose lactose intolerant people do for calcium and vitamin D. Just walk around deficient all their lives? What do you suppose their doctors tell them? THEY TELL THEM TO GO EAT SOME VEGGIES THAT CONTAIN CALCIUM and to take a vitamin D supplement!

I just recieved my 6WBMO kit yesterday and can't wait to get started! The price is a FRACTION of what I have paid in the past for meetings and special pre-packaged foods. The website for the product has great forums that are so motivational. This program will be challenging, only because I am so used to shaking on salt and spreading butter over everything, but, I know that I can't loose weight eating like that anymore. There is a "loosing" stage, that's when you are trying to reach your goal weight, and that's when the diet is the most restrictive. After you reach your goal weight, you have to maintain it, but that doesn't mean that you can never eat dairy or salt or sugar ever again! I don't know where some people are getting their information...they've got it wrong. You WILL be able to eat those things, in moderation. During the loosing stage my body type can eat pineapple, strawberries, pork chops, chicken, turkey, steak, fish, potatoes, all kinds of vegetables, NOT JUST EGG WHITES, TUNA AND OATMEAL! And I have probably the most restrictive body type! Please do your research before sharing your opinion on this product. It really isn't fair for people to talk about something that they glanced at for 30 seconds.

I had done this program in 2004 with great success & had kept the weight off for well over 2 years until I became ill & was put on a medicine that caused gain weight, well without a doubt I am back on the program again & have continously incredible results. You MUST read & go thru everything that comes with the program, I do have my own exercise program. Losing weight can be a challenge, stick with it with a positive attitude & I know it will work for you, I lose an average of 4-7 lb's per week with 9 lb's my first week, I pre-make all my food to last every 3-4 days. I still have cravings like everybody else, but my dedication is paying off every week, I am very happy with my success and wish you all the best of luck!!
