I started this program a while back and lost 14 Ibs in a week and a half! It was a great program but I stopped because it was hard to schedule the meals while I was a full Time College Student. Now that I am out of College I plan on starting back up. I basically ate Chicken Breasts broiled with some rosemary and spinach and lettuce with a dime or so of dressing. For a snack I ate berries with splenda etc. It wasn't hard to eat infact you get use to it. I would cook 8-10 chicken breasts and then cut them up and put them in the fridge. It makes it real simple. I would recommend this to anyone!

This plan is not the greatest. You lose alot of weight because you are only eating 750 to 900 calories a day. The boards are free, which is nice, but the community is not all that supportive if you don't follow it to the letter, people are just obnoxious, definately not for the optimistic . I lost 40 pounds on it, but it all came back plus more just by adding a little bit back in. I am now following my husbands plan of 1500 calories and I have lost on average 5 pounds a week. Which is keeping it more sane around this household. Save your money and go to a nutritionist/dietitian for a plan. They have to be certified and go to school for 4 years before they can practice. Cheaper too. (My kids are happier with the food as well.)

My sister and I did the 6WBMO plan together. The first few days were tough! Felt like we were going to die of starvation. It was hard to eat alot of food and even harder to come up with the right things to make. But we continued on and I love it. I lost 20lbs in my first six weeks and will continue another round. My sister is not strong-willed. Which is a must for this program to work. I think all the keys are there, but if you're looking for the easy fix and not willing to change your diet and give up junk food and all the great things that are making you fat, will any diet work for you anyways? P.S. I can't cook to save my life, so this plan actually improved some of my cooking skills. After a few weeks it becomes second nature! Goodluck.

I LOVE this product! It's been 5 weeks and I have lost 29 pounds. I plan on continuing this program till I lose 65 more pounds and then continueing to eat like this. At this rate, I should lose the weight in 4 more months. I find it not hard to do at all. I am always eating. I have found that if I don't eat exactly what is specified I get cravings. If I mix the protein and the carbs like it says I do not get hungrey or cravings for sweets. If I let myself get hungry then I'm in trouble. I then have to use alittle willpower not to gobble everything I'm not suppose to eat. But if I eat just what is planned for me, I am satisfied. This is amazing. I have been fat since puberty and the only way I have been able to lose weight in the past is by taking a pill. This is so much better. I am so proud of myself!

I tried this product for almost one month. I had great results, actually. Very little carbs you are eating, and that always gives me energy (but you do have fruit). I lost about 10lbs (had 35 to lose). Then PMS arrived, I went crazy, which I don't usually do, and ate everything. This, in my opinion, is an extreme diet. No salt, no oil, little flavor. I realized it was not right for me, though hundreds are successful with it. I'm back to weight watchers. If you want to try it, do be sure you send it back in the specified time for a refund if you decide it is not for you. But I hope it works for you and you won't want to send it back. Good luck!

Love-it!! It really works when you stick with it. Within the first few days I started to feel better. My stomach problems disappeared after about 3 to 4 weeks. I lost 29 lbs in 8 weeks. Howeve, I did not do any of the exercizes. I only followed the eating plan. If I had implemented the exersize with the eating my weight loss would have been much greater than 29 lbs.

I used the general "concept" of the 6 week makeover even though I did not follow it to a tee. I broke my meals into at least six times a day. I started the excercise program. I ate what ever I wanted but in small portions including one glass of red wine with my supper. I started at 238 and in one month lost 20 pounds. Thanks Michael for your support

I have to say this is the only "diet" that has ever worked for me. I started in May and lost 25 pounds in 3 weeks. Then I stressed out over work and quit during the summer. Well, I didn't actually quit, because I got into some really good eating habits, but I started eating my weekly ice cream again, and also yummys like chocolate cake and greasy fast food. But I also remembered to eat small and eat often, using unprocessed foods. I did NOT gain any weight that whole time! I recently (September) started again and I've lost 8 pounds now in my first renewed week. I hope to be able to stick to it until I reach my goal. Then I will use the knowledge I have gained to keep the weight off. Also, there's a great support forum at Provida with excellent recipies. Yes, you need to cook, but isn't it worth it to be eating a lot of healthy food and lose the weight?

I started the 6wbmo on Aug 29,2005 and I have already went down 1dress size. It is time consuming but well worth it. I would recommend this to anyone who is trying to lose weight and also eat healthy.

I tried the 6wbmo for about a week and I started getting awful headaches, stomach aches, and very lethargic feeling. I called my Doctor and he told me to stop doing it and come and see him. I went and saw him and he said the plan was too restrictive and took blood work, I am still waiting on the bloodwork. He said it was not just detox my body was going through as they tell you in the 6wbmo forums. He is sending me to a dietician. I lost about 4 pounds, as I only stuck to it fully for about 5 days, then I added foods back in. I sent it back and will not get a refund for 2 months to my credit card. I think it might be fine for other people, but not for me. I can't live my life eating that bland food all the time! I don't use salt a lot, but this was rediculious.

I have been over weight my whole life. I had seen the Michael Thurmond infomercial several times and I finally asked my boyfriend to buy it for my birthday this year. It arrived on 7/8/2005 and I started the program on 7/11/2005. Today is the end of my 11th week using the program and I have lost 44 pounds and my boy friend has lost 35 pounds. At first I thought it was very restrictive, but after a week of following the plan and using the infinite menu planner to get variety in my meals, my cravings for off plan foods left and it became very easy to follow. I eat six meals a day and I walk 40 minutes 3 times a week and I am losing weight as I never have before. I am healthier than I have ever been. The best part for me is that it has a very detailed plan for Living Lean after all the pounds are gone. This product is absolutely amazing!

This diet (and yes, it IS a diet, not a realistic lifestyle) is insanely restrictive. We're talking egg whites, chicken breast, and oatmeal 6x a day. The exercises were useless -- I tried them all once and gave up immediately due to lack of concise instructions. Did I lose weight? Yep, about 25 pounds in 3 months. But it ALL came back and then some the minute I added some extra carbs back into my diet. My boyfriend, who lost about 30 pounds on this plan, began bloating and cramping severely when he started eating bread again, because it shocked his body so badly. I'm sure people will say that this plan worked for them, and it DOES work if you follow all of the guidelines about the way you eat. But the amount of prep time was enormous (you're literally in the kitchen every two hours) and the variety and flavor was completely non-existent. I've since moved on to NutriSystem and have lost 20 pounds in 2 months eating REAL food -- including pizza, pasta, and chocolate! And it's a REAL lifestyle plan that you can easily adapt to fit your life after you lose all the weight you want to lose. NutriSystem vs. the 6 Week Body Makeover? No contest! Thanks for nothing, Michael Thurmond!!!

The short version? I hated it. The long version? Where do I begin? This diet was entirely too restrictive flavor-wise for me. I know the point is to lose weight--and salt retains water--but the food was so bland and so tasteless that some meals it was all I could do to choke the food down. (Egg whites might make a good omelet if you can add a pinch of salt and some cheese, but on their own with only onions or peppers? Blech. Chicken on the grill is delicious...until you take off the seasoning.) We tried ALL SORTS of non-salt seasonings and everything was still horrible, so right away I realized I would have to make SOME accommodations, otherwise I would never make it past day three. After adding some salt it became more tolerable, but then there was the amount of prep work necessary. WOW. It seemed like all we ever did was cook chicken and cook rice and chop fruit and vegetables. I didn't add up all the time, but it felt like we were spending a LOT more time in the kitchen. And in addition to that, you need SO many containers! (I thought I was the queen of tupperware before this diet...now, I have about three times as much!) And don't even get me started on drinking water. Before the diet, I drank the recommended amount so I didn't think I'd have any trouble on the diet. Except that when you're not eating salty food or foods RICH in flavor, you don't feel like you need to drink... I don't think I drank the recommended amount of water ONE SINGLE day during the time I was on the diet. What next? Oh, the exercises. First, if you are not one who has exercised much in the past, be prepared to feel VERY frustrated. Yes, the video helps, but even with the video AND my husband, I still had problems with the exercises. Most of them, it didn't feel like I was working any muscles (was I too far away? not using enough resistance? doing something wrong? positioned incorrectly?). Others I could tell I was doing correctly, but others still I couldn't even do--they made no sense and no matter how hard I tried, I could not successfully do them. I think if I had a personal trainer right next to me to show me how to do the exercises and make sure I was doing them correctly, it would be effective...but this wasn't. I was afraid that I was putting forth all this effort to do the exercises but I was doing them wrong so they would not be effective in the least. The result? I did this diet for two weeks and I exercised three days--and I lost 9# (I didn't measure inches but I know my pants felt a little looser). Overall, I can see how this diet would work for someone--someone who doesn't mind eating the same bland and boring food meal after meal, day after day, week after week. And someone who was fairly familiar with the types of exercises shown in the video. But for someone like me, it was horrible. (For comparison, I went back to low-carb and lost the same 9# in less time eating much better food!) One last thought: If you do decide to try this and you realize you don't like it, send it back AS SOON AS YOU DECIDE. I waited too long (we were in the process of moving so there were other things on my mind) and I was one day beyond the 6-week guarantee and they refused to refund my money.

This plan is NOT a diet! I have been on this program since January 2005. My husband and I both started at the same time. He had lost 72 pounds by June and I have lost a total of 76 pounds. The information you get when you purchase this plan and the support you get from the 6WBMO community is what makes this plan work. I am a retired RN. I worked for 40 years helping other people and eating one or two meals a day and probably drinking enough water to survive and that was all I had time for, my metabolism was killed!! Now, I am helping myself by learning the correct way to increase my metabolism with simple FOOD. My husband is on living lean which is the maintenance program. He maintains his weight each week and still eats all the things he used to eat before because he has an increased metabolism. You will not be unsatisfied with this plan IF you READ the material and Talk to people in the 6WBMO community when you do not understand something. As for the preperation of meals, I spend about 20 minutes each morning getting my meals prepared for the whole day!! The money I paid for this plan was the BEST investment I have every made in my entire life! Just think about it. 76+75=151 pounds!! My goodness!! We have lost a whole person!! Thank you Michael Thurmond!!!

I have been on this program for 2 weeks and have lost 12 lbs. and 11.75 inches. I think it was a wonderful investment. I have more energy and I feel better than I have felt in a long time. The meals haven't been that restrictive to me as I had been eating a low carb lifestyle before. I have stayed on the plan 100% and haven't had any cravings- in fact I find it difficult to eat all the meals I am supposed to each day. I would highly reccommend this product A+++

In the 1st 6 wks I lost 30+ lbs. The 1st wk was the hardest, because the plan is so strict. I kept pressing, & I eventually got into a momentum. It gets easier w/ time. This is definity the best thing I've ever done. It works. My energy level went up and I noticed when I went back to old ways of eating, I felt sick to my stomach. With time, you don't miss the salt and I found I looked forward to eating the fruits/ veggies (Acquired a taste for them). Also, as a singer, this plan is perfect. There is no dairy and the program incorporates lots of healthy foods & water. This isn't the plan for you if you just want "another diet". This is a life changing thing & it is for the serious people. Results are great if you don't quit!

I am on my 17th week and I have lost 68.5 lbs. I purchased the program after my 40th birthday because I was depressed regarding my weight. I swore this would be my last "diet". Well thanks to Michael Thurman and the 6WBMO program because I have my life back and I am eating healthy. Yes it takes time to prepare your food for the week but I find it easier than cooking every night. I cook the week's meals on Sundays. I have found that my food bills have gone down about $40/week because I am not buying junk food and foods that my body doesn't need. I take my vitamins for the necessary nutrients that I do need. I love this program and I am so thankful that I found it.

I just ordered this product fron [] and I really like it. I ordered it because it came with a cookbook. I love the cookbook because I am not very creative when it comes to cooking and these recipes add a lot of variety to my diet. I am not bored with this way of eating at all. As far as the food prep and cost, I go to the farmers market to buy my fresh fruits and vegetables at a considerably lower price than a grocery store. I also shop for my meats at a butcher which is also cheaper than the supermarket. If you really want to commit there are ways to find the food you need that is affordable. Look for sales and stock up. I also prepare my meat in bulk. I cook several pieces of chicken and turkey at one time. I keep it in the refrigerator so all I have to do is heat it up and it is ready. There are ways to manage if you really want to change your body.
