I had purchased this product & started on it as soon as I got it. I have to say it did work. I lost 30 lbs in 6 weeks. The exercises made a huge difference & I felt better & looked better. The hardest part was the food prep. There was way too much preparing and thinking involved & having to carry around a cooler with food and make sure I ate when I was supposed to. I had to buy too much and my grocery bill more than doubled. I don't make that much money. I really disliked that part of the plan so I personally would not do this plan again.

I first noticed Michael Thurmond on Extreme Makeover and then started seeing his infomercials. I have heard for years that we should all be eating 5-6 small meals instead of three large ones, so what Michael was saying sounded sensible to me. I placed my order, received the program last Thursday and started it on Friday. I am in my sixth day and I have lost 8.5 lbs and I have not even begun the exercise program yet. The hardest part for me was giving up the saltshaker; it was hard for a couple of days but so worth it! Over the past year, I have lost thirty lbs. by low-carb dieting and low calorie dieting, but I had hit a plateau and the scale refused to budge. Thanks to BodyMakeover, I'm back on track. With low carb dieting, I always felt tired and mentally sluggish. With low calorie dieting, I always felt deprived. Now, I feel better than ever! I would recommend this program to anyone who will make the time to prepare and eat healthy, wholesome foods. Thank you, Michael!

I bought the 6 week bodymakeover last summer in June. I lost 25 pounds and kept it off until this past year. I see it creeping back on. But only because I let it. While I am still working out, I have not done the diet as seriously as I had. Fell off the wagon. Therefore, I am back on the 6 week program and WILL continue to Live Lean when it is over. I lost over 25 inches the first time. My legs have always been my biggest problem. They were the smallest they have ever been in my life-even when I was at my lowest weight ever 117LBs. I am 5'3 and weighed in at 140 after the diet. But I looked like 125! I can now also run on the treadmill instead of just walking. Something I could never do before. I plan on entering a 5K this year to celebrate my 40th b-day. Anyway, I am going for it again and will continue to do the 6 days on and maybe one day or meal off. I feel like I have the tools to do this and am helping a girlfriend get on the 6 week body makeover bandwagon.

My wife & I just completed the 6 weeks. We are continuing on as we still have more weight to lose to get to our desired goals. I lost 21.5 lbs & she has lost 18 lbs. It has been very effective. She has some health issues & has modified the diet some (you don't have to follow it exactly to get results... she eats yogurt & some skim-milk & wheat tortillas occasionaly). She hasn't done any of the exercises & still has results. As for food prep time, we load up a crock pot & throw it in the pot, come back later & it's done. Minute Rice takes about 10 minutes to prepare a batch that will last several days. As for expense... it may be bland and boring, but egg whites (protein) and oatmeal/rice (carbs) is very cheap. We have also roasted turkey breasts, which last us a week. I should mention I eat more than mentioned above, I just added that because some people mentioned cost of the food as an issue. My wife to is an RN and teaches a medical program at a college. She says this diet is very similar to a diabetic diet. As for the dry hair and skin, the program says if you start noticing those simptoms to add some fish into your diet. On a couple of occasions I ate several large pieces of cake and some brownies. I still lost several pounds that week. I beleive it is because my metabolism is burning it up. I wouldn't recommend that consistantly and it may have kept me from reaching a larger weight loss than the 21.5 lbs. I'm 6'1" & began at 215 lbs. At the end of 6 wks I was at 193.5. I'm looking great except I still have some belly size to bring down. I figure between 5 to 10 lbs (10 lbs should put me into the six-pack ab range). I haven't been under 195 lbs in more than 7 years. (I did weight watchers for a while. It worked okay, but I didn't receive the same results... it is a good program though). We have extremely busy lives (as most Americans) but by preparing the food, putting it in sealable containers in the fridge (it lasts all week) it probably saves time in the long run. I have had to get creative at times to be able to eat every 2 1/2 to 3 hrs. I went to a couple of events that I had to sneak food in (they aren't going to sell they type of food you need at the consession stands), but it all worked out. Thanks... Michael Thurman PS. I don't see this diet as something I have to stick to the rest of my life... I see it as a tool to get to where I want to be & from there I can work on maintenance. There is still cake & brownies in my future!!! I believe I have the tools to maintain (time will tell).

I started the 6WBMO almost 5 weeks ago. I, like many people, have yo-yo dieted all my life. I never found the tools to make a lifestyle change and enjoy eating healthily. I found it in the 6WBMO! I will be 48 next month. In less than 6 weeks I have lost 17 pounds, over 22 inches, and I feel at least 10 years younger. I have more energy than I have had in years and years. I am more productive, happier, healthier, and I know I can do this forever. Yes, it takes about a week to get into the groove of prepping your food ahead of time, but now that I've got it down, I've got It DOWN! I love the food. I love cooking and experimenting with lots of spices. This is a great program, one that will benefit me for the rest of my life. Thanks

This product is unbelivable. I first used it after not losing the extra weight after pregnancy. I had gone from 125 lbs to 200 lbs and limiting my diet did not help. I purchased the program and lost 80 lbs in 8 weeks. Back to my old self. 1.5 years later I had abandoned the new eating plan and founf=d a new love. We both packed on the weight. I went back up to 140 and my partner was 220. I convinced him to start the program. It has been 4 weeks and he has lost 25 lbs. I have lost 13. We both feel incredible and have increased energy. The program takies a lot of planning...but you can prpare a whole week's set of meals in just a few hours. The key is to have your meals made up ahead of time. We combine Rapid results with the gourmet or easy plans so we can mix and match. The weight loss was not as quick for me this time but uneeded as I was not much over weight....but I really have enjoyed being "less strict" with my meals than I was the first time. Again , the first time I had A bunch of weight to loose. I recommend this to anyone who want to loose weight...from 10 lbs to 500. You need to be dedicated and plan. It won't work otherwise, but I was a busy corporate buyer with a newborn and had to travel a bunch and I found the time. You can too!

This program may be the best thing that ever happened to me. I'm loving it and I dont find this diet to be difficult at all although I will admit I have the luxery of working from home so eating every 3 hours is easy for me. I've lost 12 pounds in the first 5 days on the plan and a I feel great. It's a very healthy diet too. I thought I would have a problem droppig dairy products especially in my coffee but I've adjusted easily to that. For calcium I eat raw spinach leaves. After reading the material it is clear that a lot of thought went into this program from knowledgable dieticians. For people who say you can get the same information for "free" at your local library, you could probably find it for free on the Internet too but realize that you're paying for more than information. You're paying for information, plus motivation and organization and something tangible in hand, and that's just what this plan gives you. I've noticed a lot of posts here about how time consuming some people think this plan is. I can't disagree more. Invest in a cheap George Foreman grill and meals are a snap! A boneless chicken breast cooked in 3 minutes is faster than my pre-diet self standing and looking for something to eat in the fridge! I weighed 312 LBS. 5 days ago. Now I weigh 300. I'll post here again when I reach my target weight of 160 LBS which I know I will do on this superb diet program. How can anyone say they were always hungry on this plan when no matter when you eat you know you have more food coming in 3 hours? I find myself saying "I have to eat again already?". I paid the $129.00 for Michael Thurmonds program and couldn't care less about the price if I get my life and health back and get into my old clothes. Sure the information COULD be found at a book store for far less, or at a library for free, but did I go looking for it? No. Would I go looking for it? No. Does the average overweight person go to their library and find a diet that works for them? I don't think so. I'd recommend this program to anyone who wants to lose weight and improve their health.

I am in my mid 40's and had a triple Heart Bypass three years ago. I was already 40lbs overweight but then balooned another 60lbs after surgery. I tried all sorts of diets, but the excersize required was too difficult being on heart meds. I could barely get my heart rate to 100 when walking. Nothing was working. Finaly I saw Thurmonds infomercial and was impressed by the claim I could increase my metabolism by diet alone. I bought the kit. First I went to my Doctor and he approved the diet for me. Now after 4 & 1/2 months, I have lost 50lbs! At first the cooking was hard to get used to, but now I have it down pat. Being single I still eat out a few times a week and find it manageable (enjoyable). I also have a few glasses of red wine every week. I know the wine slows down my weight loss a little, but I write it off as "Doctor prescribed". Ya gotta live a little too. I reccomend Michael Thurmonds program to anybody that is serious and wants to feel better about themselves, I'm already half way there!

Okay, my husband bought me the diet because he hated seeing me fail at so many other diets and he had faith in it... well, I want to say that it does work...you can do the diet and not even work out and you will loose weight. You do have to cook a lot, but I found that I cook a bunch at one time and then take out my portions for that week. It seemed to work for me. I kinda fell off of it for a while, but Im about to start it up again. I do recommend that if you plan on doing it make sure that the rest of your household is keeping in mind that you are on a diet and try not to eat a bunch of junk food around you. Remove temptation. It only makes it hard when your on any diet. This really works and like any thing that is healthy for you it will take a commitment. Hang in there and remember your goals dont come by not doing anything.

When I purchased Michael Thurmond's plan, I had watched several infomercials about this product and like many, was skeptical about its claims. However, I took the plunge and have never looked back. I have been so thrilled with the results and both my husband and daughter have lost weight (25 and 15 pounds respectivly) on this plan and are thrilled as well. I realize that it takes some planning, and it can be tough to eat so often at first, but once you get into the routine, it just becomes second nature. We have worked this into our lifestyles so well that we plan to continue with this program indefinitely, although we have added some alterations and tweeking necessary to the situation in which we might find ourselves. I agree that some people might have all the information necessary to formulate a similar plan on their own, but it is so much more helpful to have it in black and white, ready for you to begin without any trial and error. The workout program is outstanding and the immediate results are such that it keeps you motivated for the longer haul. I lost the promised 35 pounds during the first seven weeks and have continued to lose weight steadily and slowly since. I feel better, have much more energy and we are all so much happier with our stamina and appearance. We have tried low-carb, food-combining and all the diet du jour. This one has worked remarkably well and is so nutritionally balanced that I can't understand why anyone wouldn't give it a try and stick with it. If they did, they would see amazing results and never look back. Honestly, no one said life was easy so why shouldn't removing the end result of our own excesses take a little effort. What a wonderful sense of accomplishment and self-satisfaction we have now. It just feels so darn good . . . Thanks Michael Thurmond!

I purchased this program about 2 years ago aftre seeing the infomercials for a couple of years. I can't praise it enough. Preparing my food took longer than I was used to, but the payoff was well worth it. After 35 years, I realized that my nasty attitude and lack of patience was really due to me not eating enough!! What a revelation! Whenever I go off program because I am feeling lazy, I can really tell the difference in how I feel and how much patience I have interacting with other people. Staying with pre-packaged food and sodium filled prepared foods will probably cost you less money each week, but the emotional and physical pay off really can't be beat.

This plan works, but only if you make it work. I have lost 24lbs and 20.75" in three weeks. I started at 356lbs and want to eventually weigh 170lbs. With this plan I know that I can do it. It takes planning and determination, but if you are really serious about lossing the weight, this is a great program.

I have long lusted over this program and watched the infomercials with hope and longing. My 10yo daughter DEMANDED that I buy it for myself for Mother's Day -- I didn't need any further pushing. I ordered and received it very quickly. However, this turned out to be just another low-cal, low-fat diet with WAY too much cooking and pre-prep of foods. I'm married, 2 kids, a dog and 3 cats, as well as a full-time job. Even with help I can't possibly keep up with all of it and add at least 6 hours a week in prep time for cooking and planning and packaging -- etc., etc. . . . I do find the exercises to be fabulous though and still continue to use similar bands to work out three evenings a week. I have fibromyalgia and find that I can do these at my own pace and I'm really seeing results. Too bad the diet did not agree with me. But I'm not giving up. There's a program out there for everyone, you just have to find the right "fit"!!!

I purchased this program and ate exactly what it told me to as well as exercising. To eat as often as it tells you is difficult if you are one of those people like me that ate about one to two times a day before. Not only is it hard to eat as often the lack of carbs and salt and a whole bunch of protein seemed to put my body in shock. I got real sick and had headaches every day. I would not recomend this for people that are overweight due to lack of eating often enough. If you do get it, try to work your way up to eating so much and so differently. I tried to return the product and got the run around. They tried to sell it to me for less money and then told me if I wanted to return it by time I got my refund it would hardly cover the return shipping. I ended up taking it for less money, but being of a low income it was hard to pay for something I couldn't afford in the first place to have it not work for me. It is also very difficult to buy all the food you have to eat on a low income as well.

I am a single mom with a VERY active 6 year old, I work full time and go to grad school, so if i can find the time to cook then most anyone can. I have been on the program for 4 days and have lost 7 pounds. I used to be a hard core Atkins dieter and this system makes me feel so much better. It may seem restrictive compared to the average American diet but the menus on this plan are comprised of foods that our bodies should be consuming anyway. And this is coming from a serious soda/sugar junkie! My only struggle is getting out of the habit of wandering to the kitchen for food, not so much out of hunger but from boredom. As with any weight loss plan, you have to be in the frame of mind to commit to the change. I have been through every diet out there and this is the one I see myself sticking to because now I am really ready to get to work and lose the weight. I can see my body changing every day and that excites the heck out of me!

Im 220 lbs myself and 5'11 so i needed a build stomach and with this it really works. I have been on it for a week and lost 10 pounds. Its a hard diet and not suited for anyone who cant be restrictive but for the ones who want to really lose weight and dont ccae about restriction i recommend that you get this sytem. I believe in it and it shown me the results i so desperatly needed. Ive been on diets for years and tried everything to lose weight and finally someone has built a body makeover that works. Thanks michael thurman for a great product. 5 stars!!!

This is the absolute best thing I ever purchased from an infomercial. I was on low-carb for 10 months and felt lousy and only lost about 15 pounds. I started this program and lost 20 pounds in 8 weeks. I feel wonderful and my thighs have not been this small in 25 years. It is not only weight loss but an entire make-over. And I haven't even really done the work=out part yet! The best compliment I got was from a co-worker who said that I am virtually unrecognizable from what I was a couple of months ago. I still have 10 pounds to go but this is so easy to do compared to other diets, that it will be a piece of cake (but not literally!).

The program works. It's restrictive in the fact that you can't have ADDED salt or sugar in your diet. It's amazing that now people don't have time to cook. How did our parents do it? How did they have children, go to work, yet have time to cook FRESH food? I don't like to cook, but I was tired of being fat. So I bit the bullet and actually cooked. My mother did it everyday for me and my brother and she had a full time job. She still cooks and she has two jobs now. I don't want to hear excuses. As for the dairy IF you need it, incorporate it in your diet. Just don't expect to lose weight so quickly. You will lose but it might take you longer. True MT's program is common sense, but how many people listen to common sense? Obviously not a lot since so many of us are and were overweight. It works if you do it correctly. Exercise and you'll definately lose on top of the program. Until you are at your desired length take supplements. Fortunately I'm an E so I can eat red meat. So I don't have a problem with no oil. It works for me. If it weren't as expensive I'd reccommend it to everyone, but people are cheap.

I've only been on the plan for a week and have already lost 12 lbs. (I know that sometimes those that are very overweight experience huge losses immediately on the plan, but I'm not. I need to lose about 25 lbs...so I'm half way there already!) And no, I don't believe this was "water weight" because due to a heart condition I already take a prescription diuretic...so I don't usually hold excess water. The first week I was very limited in my food selections as my schedule simply didn't permit me time to shop, plan and cook...so yes, the meals were somewhat repititious, although I did use lots of spices and cooking methods to keep from becoming too bored. However, I forced myself to stay with it and now that I've had time to review the recipe cards and those in some of the written materials, shop and plan out my cooking time (i.e. pre-cooking and packaging/freezing meals in advance), I am extremely excited about the program. Bear in mind that the initial 12 lbs. I've lost was also without the benefit of the cardio (walking) and body sculpting (resistance band exercises) that are recommended with the program. This week I will begin my exercise program, am looking forward to a much larger variety of foods to choose from and after the success of the first week, I find myself a complete believer in the effectiveness of this plan.
