I bought the ab lounge almost a year ago. I first started using it right off, and started getting results in the first week as well. I was really excited. After the 4th week I started to get really bored with it so I stopped. Then another month went by, and I started it up again. Again noticing drastic changes. I really have ejoyed it. It was well worth the money. The only problem is, is that I get bored with it really easy, after the first like month or so. Anyways to the woman about feeling to short. I had the same problem at first. But then I realized that the foot adjuster was adjusted to far out. So roll it over closer to you. Then it work. Im pretty sure.

The ab lounge is very effective and simple to use. The results are fast and it does not take up too much space when stored. However, after just 1 month, the seams have started to come apart which is unbelievably bad considering the price and the fact I only weigh 10 stone. I have no comeback as I live in England and some rubbish about no returns due to health and safety. If you buy something which is supposed to be good quality, it should last more than 1 month. Shocking!!

I purchased it a few weeks ago. The worst thing about it is, and the most stupid, is that in order to put it away, you have to almost completely dissasemble it. It cannot be stack away. You have to physically unscrew the screws and take it apart in order for it to fold 30% so you can put it somewhere. Otherwise be prepared to have this whole thing hanging in the middle of your room. It does not work that well either. It does not work on all of your abs, just one part, no matter what exercises you do. You can do same thing right on the floor with $5 mat. The least they could have done is to put it together so it will stack away as they promise.

I received the Ab Lounge as a gift after I had my baby in 2004. It not only works my abs, but my upper thighs as well, when I use the footrest. Everybody on here seems to have a problem with folding the chair, but all you have to do is unscrew the footrest and it folds easily. I have it at work and it folds up to half its size, so I then can lean it against the wall.

I was always impressed with seeing the infomercials about the Ab Lounge.I was also very excited to buy it at my local retail store.I began eating correctly, with the information taken right from the booklet that came with it.Let me just say,I am 27 years old,am 5'2" tall, and weigh 115 lbs.I have four children.Im not fat,i just have some extra skin around my belly area that needs tightened up.So,I watched the DVD that came with it,and began my workout.I am highly unimpressed. It feels like I am way too short, and I absolutely do not feel the "burn" like I was told I would feel.I am using my arms more than anything, and my lower back hurt for the first two days I used it.Im not talking about light pain-it was awful.I tried emailing the company to ask them if I may be doing something wrong. They DID email me back...but only to offer me more products I could purchase for my Ab Lounge. They did not address my questions personally. At this point,I am not impressed.I wish someone would tell me what,if anything,I am doing wrong, because I want so much for this to work.

My wife and I owned a body building gym in the 1980s. We have used about every type of gimmick and real equipment piece out there. Today - and in our 50s - we have a small qym in our basement, and we use it. I have a great deal of scepticism for "stuff" sold on TV, especially fitness and weightloss gadgets. But, about a year ago my wife and I saw the AB-Lounge in person in a department store ($99 on sale). We tried it right there. It gave us both an immediate "burn." We bought it and use it regulalry; she, five days per week, me, three days. I have always had trouble feeling a real burn when working mt abs. The AB-Lounge gives me that burn. I have modifyed the manufacturer's suggested workout. I will do two contractions on each rep. This works well for me. The one thing with which I am not satisfied is the oblique crunch. I never seem to feel it. Though my wife loves this exercise and it works for her. I do side bends with dumbells. I'd recommend the AB-Lounge in a snap... But, don't forget you must use it to get results!

I lost over a hundred pounds after i had my daughter, but i was having problems toning my abs. I bought the ab lounge hoping that would help and even though i don't use it very much, i went from a size 7 (in jeans) to a size 5. I haven't lost any weight, because i haven't tried to, but i've noticed a difference in my waistline. I have bad back and shoulder problems, but using the ab lounge is a lot easier on my back than standard crunches. I definently don't think this was a waste of money.

Easy to assemble. Used 2 times in 4 months. Takes up a lot of space. Wish it would fold. When I have used it, I can feel the stomach muscles tighten.

I must say this gives a good ab work out, whether you are doing your abs or obliques. I dont get lower back pain from this machine like I did before I owned it. My only negative thing is this is not made to be folded up (though they say it is) but its very difficult to fold, so I just leave it up in a spare room. Its a good buy though, expecially if you get lower back pain from sit ups or crunchies! Hope this helps.

Looks to be exactly what it is. It does make situp easier but you still have to work at it and it is completly worth it! I would recommend it to anyone looking to tighten their abs.

I didn't use the Ab Lounge right away, in fact I lost the booklet, and viseo that came with it...but now that I am using it I have to say how pleased I am with the product; No, it doesn't fold up very easily, and so I keep it fully unfolded in my basement, but I turn it on it's side so that my cats won't become interested in it! I wanted to flatten a large belly that I grew, and had originally been doing crunches on my bed in the morning until I got the Ab Lounge. Once I did start using it, I found that the burn was immediate. I have lost only about a half inch from around my belly so far, but the benefits of using it are that now, I get great crunches. I have learned to move WITH the machine, and can do between 30, and 40 solid, smooth crunches every other day. It only takes a few minutes, and I have now gotten in good enough shape to start thinking about using it EVERY day, instead of any other. The machine is somewhat noisy, there is some clacking noise, and the fabric "chatters" as you rock back, but I am also around 220 lbs, which is near it's maximum wieght capacity. I have been doing this routine for about 2 months. I am expecting better results now that I can REALLY crunch - that's been the biggest benefit, GREAT crunches!

Initially it is very awkward to use, but after a few uses you adjust to the movements needed and it becomes easier. The exercise itself produces a good, quick, concentrated burn. Overall I am pleased with this product, but I MUST warn you - it is not easy to fold and put away. You must unscrew / unbolt 8 screws / bolts in order to "conveniently" fold and put away, so it sits in our living room full time - who's going to do that every single day?

I used the ablounge for many weeks, but it hurt my shoulders to place my arms through the strap at the top for the advanced exercise. The strap is not long enough. I have good flexibility in my arms and have been exercising 4-5 times a week for a long time now. I have given it to a friend to try out and she really likes it. As far as working out the abd, I also included an additional workout on the ball for the results I needed.

I do like the product and the exercises are easy, but I just do not see results (toning) that I thought I might after some time of consistant use (2 months at least 3 times weekly).

I purchased the Ab Lounge about 7 months ago. Right away I could feel that it focused in on my ab muscles and didn't hurt my lower back. I continued to use it for about 2 months on and off, but never really stuck with it. I think that was mostly because I was really out of shape overall. I left it in my den right in the middle of the room and used it as a coat rack. Then about 2 months ago I decided that I wasn't going to let my health go any longer. I started working out on the Ab Lounge first to try and just build my core body area. It does a great job of this right away. Then I slowly started working out the rest of my body using free weights. Today I have a solid core body area and can easily see the definition in my abs and in the side oblique muscles. I got up to doing over 100 steady crunches in a very short time. To get more definition I started doing about 20 steady straight crunches and then I start holding the crunch for a few seconds. I continue with this a long as I can. This isn't a long time, because the burn is intense. I also found that a lounge pad and a neck pillow help to focus in on the abs area. I've never been really fit, even as a teenager, but today (at 45) I'm very close to having that ripped center section that I've only seen in magazines. I've looked at most of the ab products that are out there and have tested most of them. However I've seen nothing that works like this. I highly recommend it. My advice ' Use a pillow to protect your neck; Use something to cushion your tailbone; Put your hands together inside the bar or strap; Stay focused and pause to hold the crunch. It will work.

I purchased an Ab Lounge at [] $139. I have been using it for almost 2 weeks so far I have lost about 1 inch off my mid section. I do it 5 days a week. I can see results and am quite happy with it, maybe this will help make improvements to the manufacturer. I have noticed a very loud squeaking noise and black fibres coming from the joints. As for the strap on the top it is pathetic, makes my arms very uncomfortable. The video is basically and introduction doesn't give really much detail, I guess trial and error. I would recommend this product if you don't have any shoulder or arm troubles. It is in my living room because of course like the infomercial says it folds down but it doesn't. I think any concerns you have the people at fitnessquest are quite helpful.

I like the ab lounge, but don't feel the burn. I know that I am doing it right. It doesn't fold, and the strap broke the first day. The 800 # is always busy, and no one answers their email. Disappointed.
