Ab Lounge

I'm 16 years old and am not THE strongest person. When I turned 16 in March my girl friend told me that I was "flabby.” I tired sit ups and crunches on the floor. Nothing seemed to work. So I got the AB lounge 2 and saw results in weeks. I would recommend drinking protein drinks after a good run and time on the lounge, Diet is important, eat fruits and veggies with every meal. I GIVE THIS PRODUCT A SOLID 10/10!!!!!

This product kicks my butt!!! It is indeed ugly and my roommate and I hide it behind the couch. But the results from it are very favorable if you stick to it! Also incorporate a healthy well balanced diet, and regular work out routine! Of course this is NO miracle tool, and you have to stick to it! And with that you WILL have sucess!!! :)

I bought the product a couple of months ago and I use it 5 times a week and I LOVE it!!! Best money spent. I have 2 kids and a somewhat "flabby"tummy and the Ab Lounger 2 has helped.

As an overall summary, my PROS are: (1) the chair itself is very comfy, (2) the ability to recline all the way back is a wonderful stretch for the lower back, (3) sets seem easier to do than on the floor, (4) the upper abs really do get a nice workout, (5) it's totally silent. My CONS are: (1) assembly was a bit of a challenge, (2) the colour is a ugly and clashes with any decor, (3) the footrest doesn't extend to accommodate people taller than 5'10", (4) it takes up a lot of space and doesn't fold up when not in use, (5) the strap above the headrest is too tight to slide arms underneath for some of the exercises, (6) oblique and lower ab exercises were questionable. BOTTOM LINE: It is fun to use, although it's ugly, clunky if you're tall, and it takes up a heck of a lot of room.

I've been using the Ab Lounge for 2 months every day for only 10 minutes and I'm seeing results. You have to stick to a low calorie diet too. Doing two reps and giving up because you dont "feel the burn" wont do anything for you. You have to do it every single day for atleast 10 minutes. not every time you feel like it.

I've only done 2 sets with the ab lounge so far. I haven't worked out in several years. I'm a slim guy who use to workout a lot so I do remember how it feels. I know i can still do 50 sit-ups straight, and after reading comments on this product, I just dont believe the people who "felt nothing". After 10 reps, I felt "the burn". I never used the workout video and barely remember then infomercial, I just hopped on and went to work. After that first set of only 10 reps, I can say I like this machine. Maybe I'm more out of shape than I thought, but i feel with continued use, I may like the results I get from this machine. Unfortunately it's my parents machine and I wont be using it as much as I need. I like the feel and I'm sure I'd like the results I'd get.

i bought this product from [] last feb 14 th, 2007 because i was impressed by what i saw on the infomercial. i am not overweight but my somewaht flabby abs is a constant reminder that my 50th b-day is just around the corner so i bought this as my b-day present. well, i am very dissapponted. shannon from oklahoma is right. i get a bad headache and motion sickness from the rocking motion. now my arms and shoulders hurt all the time and i have very limited range of motion to my arms. i did not have this problems before i started using it. i saw a neurosurgeon who suggested a mri to see if i ruptured a disc in my neck.well, i'm still waiting for the results of the test. i give this product a 1 out of 10.

UPDATE: If you actually use it correctly, for about 20 minutes, you can feel the burn. You have to be really dedicated though in order to get results, as with any workout. I waited for about a year before purchasing mine and I am happy with my well-paced workout.

ive been using the AB lounge 2 for about a month and a half and i have to say that it provides the best workout for my abs i have ever experienced. i started trying each exercize they recommended in the pamphlet, but found that the standard jack knife was the best exersize to do on it. i didnt feel alot of burn for a few weeks, but i still got amazing results. i recently increased the amount i did from only during commercials every other day of the week (about 3 sets of 4 minutes with each jacknife lasting about 5 seconds) to 1 15 minute non-stop set every other day. i have such great definition in my abs now and i know its because i sticked with exactly what the instructions said, and i know its becase of the ab lounge. i give it a 10/10.

i started using the ablounge 2 about 3 weeks ago. i am not overweight but i wanted a six-pack. i used ablounge about 4-5 times a week for no more than 10 minutes a day. i see the makings of a six-pack already and plan on increasing the use of it to a daily routine. if you just hold and squeeze at the end of each crunch, i don't see how you will not get a cut up stomach or lose inches. if not for the space taking and small strap, i would have given this a perfect 10. still, i give this prodcut a 9 out of ten.

I bought the Ab Lounge 2 about 6 months ago but have been disappointed. Neither my wife or myself can ever get any burn or see any results. The only benefit I can see from using it is to get a good (but expensive) stretch. A crunch bench is a much better option and is only about half the price.

i used it one time and my lower back feels terrible. i can barely walk. i do think my abs got a great work out but the pain in my lower back is going to keep me from ever getting on that machine again

My husband and I bought this product and we were both completely dissatisfied with it. My abs never felt sore nor did they get any smaller in inches or tighter. I never felt it working. Plus it takes up an awful lot of space and does not easily put away.

I hurt my neck in 1997. Until then I did ab work every day before running. A few weeks ago I decided to try the Ab Lounge. What a fantastic surprise! It actually does what it says it will do! The Ab Lounge gives my neck and back proper support and I get the workout I remember. After the first day there was that mild "sore" that lets me know my abs were getting a proper workout. Most importantly, my neck and back don't have any strain or pressure. Assembly was not difficult, but took about 40 minutes. No, I don't think it folds. I keep it in the basement where it is used almost every day. I have the Ab Lounge with the blue seat. It seems sturdy. I can already tell a difference in my midsection. This will be a long term thing for me. Thanks "Body By Jake" and Ab Lounge. A great product.

I actually have the Ab Lounge 2. One day I went to the mall with my friends and we saw it out on display at a department store. I gave it a try for about five minutes in the store and it felt like it worked really well. About a week later I went back and purchased it. I needed something that was easy on my back because I was in a car crash two years ago. I think it works pretty well. But I also run 4-5 times a week. However, I'm really not satisfied with the workout video. It's not very long and I still find some positions/maneuvers kind of confusing. And like many other people, I AM REALLY upset that the thing does not store easily like it seemed on the commercial. Overall my satisfaction is probably a 5/10, the product works better IF you get other exercise outside of the Ab Lounge.

I tried doing sit-ups on an exercise ball for almost a year and I didn’t see any results so I purchased the ab lounge. It was difficult to put together, but well worth it. I started seeing results in about two weeks. I’ve been using it every-other day for about ten minutes. It’s been two months and my jeans are getting baggy. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a flatter stomach but doesn’t have time to do two-hundred sit-ups.
