I recently purchased my ab lounge 2 after seeing the commercial several times. I was a bit skeptical at first trying many different ab exercise programs before. The ab lounge 2 soon exceeded my expetations. After the first couple workouts I could feel it working my abs very well. The instructions for setup were somewhat confusing but after a few minutes they are easy to figure out. The video is'nt very helpful, it could be longer and more informative. The owners manual is very good at describing the different exercises. I would definatley reccomend the ab lounge 2 to anyone that is lookling to tone their abs or form a tight six -pack.

Product arrived in excellent condition. Assembly was fast and easy. The workout is very good. It targets the upper abs hard, as well as the obliques. Not too hard on my injury prone back. As an advanced user it takes a little longer to get a full workout, but worth the investment. The only complaint is a lot of squeaks and groans from the machine. A lot of WD40 cured it for now.

I received my ab lounge about 3 weeks ago. I bought mine online and it came assembled except for the resistance bands and handles - which were easy to put on. I have back and neck problems, so I thought I would give this product a try. It is fantastic! It is so easy to do, I barely feel like I'm doing a workout... but I've definitely noticed my stomache getting flatter and stronger. If you do the advanced jacknife move on the ab lounge, you will really feel it in your stomache. I would suggest this product 100% because it is very realistic and I have gotten great results where all else failed.

It was very easy to set up and does store quickly. I was not impressed w/the video. First, the ability to simply strech feels great. The chair is comfortable and does support your back and neck. I didn't get the burn that I do from my Total Gym when working on abs. However, you do feel it. It is also worth noting that it is very comfortable to just sit in. Because of that, we keep it out in our family room, and it encourages us to "just do some crunches". I would recommend to someone who is just getting started because it's easy, simple and seems to have less chance of "over" doing it.

I bought my ab lounge 2 days ago at good old fashion k-mart. It was much cheaper than ordering it or buying it off ebay. There was nothing broken, and it took me a few minutes to put it together...directions help. I have only used it 2 days and I can tell this thing is going to work. The ab lounge is very comfortable, and alot less stress on my backbone. (Crunches always hurt me there)Overall I would definately recomend this product to someone who wants a full ab workout. The only thing that I think does not work is when you turn your feet to the side to work out your obliques..I don't feel them working. The regular jack knife motion is felt in my abs throughout the rest of the routine.

I purchased the Ab Lounge 2 eight weeks ago. I had no damage parts, so I am lucky in that department. The assembly was very easy. I thought the video that came with the product was very simple, but could have demonstrate more of the complex exercises in the exercise manual. I do mostly the simple ab exercises and have notice a big differents in my Ab. The product has made ab exercises easy for me to do without the back and neck pains. I have to state that my change of diet and drinking plenty of water along with exercising and using the Ab lounge has had a major impact with my weight loss (especially in the AB area). If you can afford this product, I would recommend it.

Ab Lounge 2 arrived quickly (ordered Sat,got on Thurs). Easy install, plastic nut cover was broken, but no biggie-don't really need. Video is ok,could be better, longer, and more descriptive. I used two times so far and already feel my abs getting tighter. However,of the five or so different exercises to do,I honostly don't think it is designed to do the sideways jackknives to work the obliques, it seems very awkward and uncomfortable. Seems like they just threw those extra sideway exercises into what this "can do" so you it fulfills the full range of ab muscle groups. Maybe I just need to get used to it,but I think the standard straight forward jackknife works best and I do like how it can hyper extend beyond the horizontal point and work some forgotten muscles. Short legged people have the bottom of the chair rubbing against the underside of the knee and it;s a canvas/nylon like material which hurts after a bit..It really needs a soft padded rim at the bottom. I just put a towel on the bottom edge of the seat. If I was a bachlor I would leave it out as a piece of furniture, but the wife makes me put it away each night, which takes several minutes to flip it on the side and unhook the bungy cords. Too early to tell if it was worth the money, but I'll keep using and see what kind of results I get. Over all build is sturdy, hand strap at the top is questionable as to how long it will last with the two screws holding it. One thing I can also say is it is easier on the neck and back than doing the floor crunches and seems to get a good burn faster too. As of now I'm slightly above neutral on my opinion, and results can push it higher or lower, but hopefully higher. Thanks.

I received my ab lounge about 2 weeks after placing the order. It appears it was damaged in shipping, as the box was ripped and crushed on one side, but rather than go through the hassle of shipping it back, I decided to see if it could still work okay. One part of the back leg was bent, causing the lounge to wobble back and forth. But I put a book under it, and it's fine. Also the screws for the handles would not fit in right, we had to find others. But the workout is great. It's very comfortable and easy to use. I havent experienced any pain on my body like when doing regular crunches. I can really feel the workout, and after 2 weeks of only doing a few repititions a day, my abs feel extremely tight. I especially like the oblique exercise, and can really tell the difference. I will post more after I have used it a little longer.

I just received my ab lounge a few days ago. So far it has exceeded my expectations. It was heavier than I thought it would be, but folds tighter than I thought for storage which is good. The materials used for construction seem to be of very good quality, however though nothing was broken in shipment, the screws they provided to attach the padded handles would not go in at all, so I had to get other screws (less than $2). I have tried many machines for abs that friends have purchased and one that I had purchased over the years and none had delivered the results that I was looking for or that they advertised. For me, it is important that the machine not only bring results, but not be an ordeal to store and set up and that it has enough appeal to want to use it on a regular basis. So far, my workouts with it have left me feeling like I really worked my abs completely and aggressively in far less time and with literally no impact like the thousans and thousands of sit-ups and crunches I have performed on the floor only to grind my teeth the whole time due to the discomfort of the floor. I got no odd or misc. discomfort from the range of motion that other machines have produced and I have found so far that I really look forward to using it. It is far too early to say anything about visible results, so I will do so at a later date after I have had more time to use it, but I results I feel are definitely there.

The ab lounge was a gift. I had never seen it before. It arrived with a broken nut cover, but I got it assembled OK. I was a little concerned that the stretch bands did not lock into place in the center bar only the bases. It creaks when I use it. The left hinge joint keeps coming apart. I like the feel of being able to stretch beyond horizontal. That really opens my lungs, torso and hip flexors. As a person with short calves, the bar at the end of the seat rubs against by calves when I work or sit. That's where they need the padding. It makes the conventional sit-up a thing of the past. Thank God. However, it takes some time to remember to not pull my head forward when crunching. The jump start video is less than desirable. With my head back, it's hard to watch her and do the exercises at the same time and she has no predictable rhythm over the techno music behind her so that you can follow her by beats or command. I'd like to hear directions all the way through of whether we're stretching, holding, or crunching. The booklet said to do this slowly and to hold the actions for 1 or 2 beats. That should have been demonstrated in the video.

I recently purchased the Ab Lounge on a free 30 day trial basis. It took me and my son about 15 to 20 minutes to assemble it. There was an endcap which was broken during shipping (covers a screw end). Other than that it was fine. I have a bad back AND neck and cannot perform the normal "crunches" on the floor as they leave me in terrible pain. I tried the Ab Lounge and experienced NO pain in either my back or neck and could definitely feel the tightness in my stomach (ab) area after only doing 8 crunches. You can safely say that I "will" be keeping it. This has got to be one of the best pieces of equipment on the market especially for people with disabled backs and/or necks. P.S. My son loved it too and he's a gym buff!!!

I just received mine last night and put it together in less than 15 minutes. Although there was a plastic screw cover that was broken, it survived the UPS shipping. Ordered Sat, Received Friday-not bad. I did about 3 different exercises of 15 reps and can feel the burn without the discomfort of lying on the floor and from trying not to use your arms or neck to complete each rep. Truly different. I'll post further results in a couple of weeks.

This product is truely different than the other ab products. I placed mine by the pool and while I'm getting some rays, I get an ab workout whenever I spontaneously decide to "crunch". This is definately less torcherous than having the will power and dicipline to successfully use the other products. I have also found that the design of the product, allowing me to bend my back backwards past the horizontal position, stretches muscles that I totally forgot about. I feel my spine is more flexable and I really enjoy the backward bend. By the way, did I mention that this unit makes a pretty good lounge chair for sunning, watching tv, and most other sitting activities. I give this product a 9 out of 10.
