Didn't feel anything

27 Mar 2006 - Jennifer of Georgia, USA writes:

My husband and I bought this product and we were both completely dissatisfied with it. My abs never felt sore nor did they get any smaller in inches or tighter. I never felt it working. Plus it takes up an awful lot of space and does not easily put away.

Finally!

21 Mar 2006 - Bill of Georgia, USA writes:

I hurt my neck in 1997. Until then I did ab work every day before running. A few weeks ago I decided to try the Ab Lounge. What a fantastic surprise! It actually does what it says it will do! The Ab Lounge gives my neck and back proper support and I get the workout I remember. After the first day there was that mild "sore" that lets me know my abs were getting a proper workout. Most importantly, my neck and back don't have any strain or pressure. Assembly was not difficult, but took about 40 minutes. No, I don't think it folds. I keep it in the basement where it is used almost every day. I have the Ab Lounge with the blue seat. It seems sturdy. I can already tell a difference in my midsection. This will be a long term thing for me. Thanks "Body By Jake" and Ab Lounge. A great product.

Just OK

11 Mar 2006 - Shawnna of California, USA writes:

I actually have the Ab Lounge 2. One day I went to the mall with my friends and we saw it out on display at a department store. I gave it a try for about five minutes in the store and it felt like it worked really well. About a week later I went back and purchased it. I needed something that was easy on my back because I was in a car crash two years ago. I think it works pretty well. But I also run 4-5 times a week. However, I'm really not satisfied with the workout video. It's not very long and I still find some positions/maneuvers kind of confusing. And like many other people, I AM REALLY upset that the thing does not store easily like it seemed on the commercial. Overall my satisfaction is probably a 5/10, the product works better IF you get other exercise outside of the Ab Lounge.

Awesome

20 Feb 2006 - Mary of Pennsylvania, USA writes:

I tried doing sit-ups on an exercise ball for almost a year and I didn’t see any results so I purchased the ab lounge. It was difficult to put together, but well worth it. I started seeing results in about two weeks. I’ve been using it every-other day for about ten minutes. It’s been two months and my jeans are getting baggy. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a flatter stomach but doesn’t have time to do two-hundred sit-ups.

wow

8 Feb 2006 - Caliape of Pennsylvania, USA writes:

I first saw the commercial like a year ago and I finally talked my mom into buying it. She refused at first because every other exercise machine we bought ultemitly sucked. Well she bought it and I was using it every day for the first 3 months, then i slowed down to 4 times a week. It works great and it really feels good... I would reccommend it to people who have the time of day and the room to store it in... It is kinda bulky and takes up some space but it is well worth it...

Works if you make the tiny effort

5 Feb 2006 - Farra of Mississippi, USA writes:

I have had the AB Lounge 2 for about a year now and I love it. It is easy to use and the video it comes with is quick and offers extra steps at the end of each move that advanced users can benefit from. I am definitely beginner but I have found that I can definitely feel something but ONLY if I do it right. You should breathe in when coming up and out when contracting your abs and try not to use your legs, arms, or neck to pull you into the crunch, just like with regular crunches. I can't say that I have had any truly amazing results using it only occasionally, but when I use it several times a week in combination with a low calorie diet and other exercise, I can see a small different in just a week or less.

Burnin

4 Feb 2006 - Genny of Hawaii, USA writes:

Aloha from Hawaii, I use the Ab Lounge at the fitness club I go to and it does burn, I use it 3 different ways for my upper, lower abs and one way for my hips. I do 3 reps of 25 for all 3 parts of my body. I have seen a result in using this product and it's only been 3 weeks. The key is to do the exercise until you feel the burn, the ab lounge is used to help you do situps easier. All of the women using it feels the burn. It works from the muscles inside to the outside of your stomach. Remember the more muscle you have inside will burn the fat and calories you intake, so you will not see results until the inside shapes up. Also, wearing a sauna belt really helps with burning off inches while working out and walking.

Works for me

1 Feb 2006 - Karen of Georgia, USA writes:

I've had my AB Lounge 2 for a month. I am thin but wanted to lose the flab "love handles" on my hips and firm up my tummy. I'm only using it 3 times per week and I have gotten visible results. To get a burn, you should do the pulse action. I'm in my 40's but used a product similar to this in my 20's. It worked then and it works now. For those of you who say its not working, I would say: there is no miracle treatment for fat. You have to eat right and firm up your muscles. This type of exercise does not burn fat! You have to burn more calories than you consume to remove fat. This exercise is for muscle toning, and we know that muscle tissues is more effective at utilizing the fat in our out diets.

I'm a teenager and like all other teens i want my stomach to look good and i started to use this product 2 days ago, and i do not feel one bit burn,or much of anything. When i look at my stomach while i'm doing it, it just looks like it's folding your stomach and that's all, doesn't feel like there's any workout going on. And i also get a really bad headache from the up and down motion, if you get motions sick then your going to have a hard time like me. I am extremely dissapointed in this product and i really regret buying it...if I were you just do the old fashion crunches, those actually work out your abs..i really advise you not to get it.

I bought ab lounge few months ago. It is waste of money. I does nothing to the abs as advertised on the tv. I guess the best way to get tone abs is to do aerobic exercises and diet.

19 Jan 2006 - Michael of Virginia, USA writes:

I bought the Ab Lounge 2 for $99.99 with a $9.99 1 yr replacement package on the night of Jan 13th - today being the morning of the 19th. There is a lot to say about this product. PROS: First, I am 6'4 with a history of serious back problems so I was worried about the hyper-extension beyond 180 degrees. However, after watching the video, reading the booklet, doing the exercises I learned that this product also stretches and elongates my spine giving me a pain-free day even when I stand for long periods of time. Second, I've used it 4 out of 5 the days and the ab lounge gets results in record time. You feel the burn immediately and I'm yet to see a product that outlines the obliques like this one - it's incredible. Finally, it's so user-friendly that I actually want to work out even when I don't plan to. CONS: First, please perform the exercises slowly. You'll really hurt yourself if you don't take about 3 secs to down especially. Follow the instructions. Second, the strap at the top is a joke if you're trying to push your arms through it - though I am a pretty tall and broad guy. Third, there is a label warning that the maximum user weight is 250 lbs. Finally, it does take up a lot of space but it still easily fits in my small studio apt. OVERALL: the ab lounge is incredible and you will see great results quickly whether you use it alone or as a supplement to your gym workout. Hope this helps!

15 Jan 2006 - Janet of Pennsylvania, USA writes:

Hi All, I started my exercise program with a treadmill that I got from Sears and that has been fabulous, but I started to notice my belly sagging when I started losing weight, so I felt I should shape it up. I have a prior back injury from 1988, but it hasn't bothered me too much, so I bought an ablounge 2 from [] thinking that it would help me and I want to tell you all my experience. First of all to get on it, if you are heavy you are already leaning back. Then the video tells you to take a long stretch which puts you back even further and you are instructed to go up and down doing your crunches. Well, I have been on muscle relaxants and in bed for nearly two days after wacking out my lower lumbar area. I think I have overstressed a bad disk in my back. Anyway, I wanted to warn you all off of this machine, it is truly dangerous and I don't want anyone else to get hurt. I am returning mine to [] tomorrow (If I can lift it into the car.)!

My mother-in-law actually bought the machine and gave it to us because she wasn't using it. My wife and I just used it for the first time today and we definitely felt the burn! On the first 3 or 4 reps I was thinking, "I don't feel any burn". Then on about rep 15 or 16 it definitely started kicking in. On the second set I was feeling it on about the 7th or 8th rep. The 3rd set was all burn! It works! And on top of that I got it for free, what more can you ask for!

I finally found an AbLounge 2 at [].  It took longer to read the instructions that to put together, very easy.  I've done a few sets and can feel it in all my ab muscles.  Very effective.  I'm more likely to use this than do regular sit-ups or crunches.  Nice to sit in and watch TV, doing a few sets during the commecials. You would have to be completely inept to have trouble putting this thing together and using it effectively.  No offence to anyone, but this thing is simple and effective.  Expensive, but a good machine.

I love my ab lounge 2. I bought it about 3 days ago and I can really feel the burn. I aswell had a hard time putting it together but im not a handy person so I figured on that, The hand strap is way too small and I have very small hands and wrists. It doesnt fold up but thats alright, I don't mind that. Over all im  very happy that I bought it and im going to be using it every day to see if i get weight loss results.

I purchased this product from [] about 3 days ago. Six weeks ago I gave birth and had surgery. My husband was frustrated when putting it together, and I can't figure out how to store it. Other than that, it is great for the both of us!
