Product Claims
The Ab-Doer is a machine apparatus that simulates the movement of the upright machine crunch.Introducing the Ab-Doer; the fastest easiest way to have the flat, firm stomach you’ve always wanted. In fact, we guarantee you’ll lose 2 inches from your waist in just 10 days or your money back. Treadmills and stairmasters work your legs not your abs. Ab rollers and crunchers strengthen your muscles but won’t reduce the size of your waist. And some exercises can actually make your ab muscles bigger. Only the Ab-Doer's unique rotating torso trimmer targets your upper abs, lower abs, obliques and lower back all in one easy fat burning circular motion. You’ll reduce that waistline, eliminate love handles, and flatten your stomach in weeks, not months. We guarantee it. No more straining your back on the floor. The Ab-Doer is ergonomically designed to take pressure off your spine while its thick padded back rollers massage your lower back in total comfort. Imagine losing inches as you watch TV.

Garbage!

22 Dec 2007 - John of Illinois, USA writes:

I bought this machine and used it properly for about 4 months and ate a good diet and still saw no results. About the only thing it did was stretch my back and made my hip flexors sore. I finally gave up on this hunk-a-shit and did some ol' fashioned crunches and leg raises and now my abs are tight and lean. They should call this piece of crap the AB DON'TER cause it didn't do jack for me!

works for me!

9 Oct 2007 - Muffy of Kentucky, USA writes:

I used it for 4 months, then it broke. The welding is not the best. However, I became addicted to it,felt much tighter in my abs and arms, as well as ridiculously limber. If you work the proper muscles while using it, the results are noticeable and you can really work up a sweat. The video is cheesy, but I just memorized my own routine. I am about to buy a new one to replace the broken one which I now use for a comfy seat at my poker table.

Crap

12 Jun 2007 - Ashley of Kansas, USA writes:

Waste of my money. It's more of an arm work out then anything. It's cheap and doesn't do what it's supposed to. I did it for two weeks, never was even sore. Don't waste your money. I'm trying the AbLounge, seems great.

Waste of Money

16 Apr 2007 - Anonymous of Alabama, USA writes:

I had not previously heard of the abdoer before buying it at a local store and I noticed when I opened it that it was actually a returned product. I could easily see why because simply sitting in a chair and moving in the same directions as instructed would offer the same result. Also the so called "massager" rubbed my back raw.

I loved this product, I was walking everyday and on a 1500 calorie diet and still could not get rid of my belly. Then I tried the ab doer and started losing in my belly.....It was worth every penny I spent on it... I tell everyone about it..I have even started my daughter doing it along with walking everyday...

Nothing wrong with this product

14 Feb 2007 - Tom of North Carolina, USA writes:

I bought one of these back in 2002, and I am thoroughly convinced that the negative reviewers improperly used it. It is NOT a weight loss machine. It is an exercise machine for the midsection, nothing more. I was reasonably fit before I ever got it, but I still saw nice results after several months. I had a rock hard midsection and a very nice 6-pack after using it for those months. I believe it has to do with most people just having the wrong expectations and not using it properly. YOU MUST CONTRACT YOUR MUSCLES ON EVERY MOVEMENT. This is the key that I believe is missed. And the instructional video stresses this. This is far more important than the amount of resistance of the spring. I also believe most people just do the motions, and do not contract your muscles. Hence the lack of results. Yeah it's noisy. That is the only gripe I got with it.

Disappointed

15 Jan 2007 - Kevin of New York, USA writes:

I was very disappointed in the results promised by the product. After faithfully using it every day for nearly a month my waist size was still the same; I never really found the resistance on it to be much of a challenge. Although, my back was not as stiff after the workout; I could obtain the same results for my back by the exercises my physical therapist recommened. In my opinion it doesn't really great results; in fact I get a better workout carrying it to the curb; it's garbage day in my town!

IT SUCKS

28 Jun 2006 - Anonymous of Toronto, Canada writes:

I don't know how this product came to be, but MAN DOES IT SUCK. I tried it, and I don't know if mine is broken, but there was no intensity, no resistance to help use your muscles, i can do this workout with using a stick, placing it behidn my back and holding it with my hands. I seriously see this nothing more than a stretching tool. Even that is in questions, My opinion, if it's still outthere, DONT BUY THIS SHIT PRODUCT.

Not worth the money, but does give some results

7 Feb 2006 - Catherine of Ohio, USA writes:

I have been using the AB Doer for about a month, 15 min. a day; and I have noticed that my sides are trimmer, but as for my stomach, and back, virtually no difference. It is certainly not worth paying for a machine that does the same thing as oblique crunches. Sure, it's easier than getting down on the floor, but not worth the money to trim off an inch or two from your figure. Also, the "massage" roller attachment is painful. My back was aching the next day, and needless to say, I no longer use it.

9 Jan 2006 - Tim of Florida, USA writes:

The ABdoer is one of the few infomercial products that I have purchased and use on a consistant basis. The thing that I like most about it is that you can park it in front of the TV and watch my favorite TV shows while exercising. Remember when using this product that you have to make your waist do all the work through all of the rountines. (I think it mentions that in one of the 3 videos). If you don't (I didn't at first) you won't see much results. Once I got the technique right I got great results. Another thing to remember is that no piece of exercise equipment is going to make you look like a ripped supermodel if you don't control your diet and eating habits. I think many people using exercise equipment have unrealistic expectations of what they will do for them. They don't work overnight and they don't undo poor eating habits. Getting in shape and looking like one of those people in the infomercials is a lot of work. It takes time, effort and a change in eating habits to achieve those results.

I hate to admit it, but I just throwed away money. I use it only to get unstiff in the morning. I did try all they said to do. but I became more dissatisfied as time went on. I do not recommend this product to anyone, specially not for the price it cost.

This machine is a total waste of hard earned money!!The only burn you will feel is when you figure out it's you thats on fire.I could get a better workout and have saved a ton of money had I fallen down the steps. My wife has offered to push me which means the ab-doer has gotten her out of her chair as well. Aren't we lucky??I just hope she doesn't throw the don't doer down after me :)

I have the ab-doer for over 2 years now.  I think that it is an OK product.  You will never achieve a six pack with it, but it is great for losing a few inches.   I use it everyday for 20 min.  I got rid of my love handles and my belly is alot trimmer.

19 May 2005 - Melanie of Arkansas, USA writes:

The AB DOER sucks!!!! I fell for the sales pitch on TV. I used it everyday for six solid weeks, felt a little burn, but no loss of inches or any noticable tone. I watched the video over and over making sure I was doing everything right, tried with increased reps for another 3 months with NO RESULTS.... I am 5'4" and weigh 128 lbs, I just wanted to tone up, not happening with the AB DOER...
