Well...I've had Ab Energizer for about a month...and yes, it did hurt at first, but after a week or so, I felt no pain at all. I started out on the highest intensity level though. It was hard to stick the ems units on...but eventually, they snapped into place. I have lost about four inches using it 2 times a day for about 1 hour. Of course my batteries went out, but you don't have to use the battery that they say you have to use. I just went and got another battery that fits into the socket and it worked. I can start to see deep imprints of my abs. I suggest running, or doing something to help you loose weight. That's the only way you'll really see the results. NOTE: THE DIET PILLS DO NOT WORK!!!

I have had the ab energizer for almost a week now. Some of these post I am reading are amazing. It only makes sense to realize that nothing is going to provide miracles. However the concept of the muscle stimulators makes sense. I do exercise though and I use the ab energizer 2 times a day for 40 minutes. I have not had any burns or any problems. Yes it is a bit painful at first but it also takes common sense to realize...listen to the instructions or read them first. They clearly tell you to start out on a lower level to allow the muscles to adjust. Now with just almost a week of use, I have noticed my stomach muscles tightening. The ab energizer doesn't hurt as much now, and I am able to increase the levels all ready. My suggestion to anyone is to try it. I agree the gel is too expensive and so are the batteries. But most important, use common sense. Read the instructions, eat a good diet, and exercise. The belt will only benefit to a good diet and workout. For some reason, reading some of these post in here, it appears that a lot of people just are not following simple instructions and using common sense.

I have tried the Ab Energizer and so far feel comfortable with what is happening to my mid section.I have only used it for a short period so far. I drive truck for a living and exercise is far and few times. The ab energizer has given me the opportunity to work the area that really needs it. My abs already feel like they are tightening. I do use another ab product that will remain nameless, but it helps in conjunction with the ab energizer.

I did not like the Ab-Energizer. Felt to much of a shocking sensation rather than a muscle contraction. The worst part is that due to the electrical pulses it seems to have effected my tongue and lower lip. I was left with the numb sensation much like a shot of Novocain at the dentist. It went away after a week.

I bought the Ab Energizer and was a little confused on where exactly to put the gel. I think I have finally figured out to put it all over the silver part and right under the contacts, it seams to work the best that way(feels more like its working, less pain). I do see a big difference in my waist. I do agree with that it could be made better. You have to be careful when you fold it to put it away not to fold on the silver part or it will ware out. Also be sure to wipe it off after ever use will help prolong life. I will have to try the wet paper towel and see how that works will let you know. So for sticking with it...

I have used the ab energizer for 2 weeks now. You can see a difference in muscle tone. This product will not take you from a beer belly to flat abs but it will make a difference. You can find batteries at camera shops. KY jelly works better than the gel that comes with it!!!

I purchased the Ab Energizer just yesterday and I was so excited that I went straight home and tried to figure it out. The instructions are quite confusing and it took 30 min just to figure out how to use it properly. When I first turned it on it was a little scary, not a feeling that I could get used to easily. This morning I can feel a slight tightness in my abs witch has gotten me a little curios and encouraged me to try again. I plan to keep trying, but if I don't get comfortable with being shocked I will be returning this product.

I purchased the Ab Energizer around Christmas time. I used it like it said. The initial batteries were not strong enough. I ran out of the gel. I ended up with burns on top of burns. I did not see results. I am short so it did not fit on my thighs. The belt is uncomfortable and in my opinion worthless. Luckily I purchased at target and there was a 90 day return policy.

I bought the Ab energizer about a week ago, me and my friend tried it out for a bit. Then later realized it was very painful, but only in one spot..the belly button. I feel alot of discomfort in my belly button while using the Ab Energizer because of this flaw in the manufacturing of this product. I discovered a way to avoid this problem, do not put any jelly on your belly button and then it will not zap it. Anyway I am sticking with my purchase, I think it is making a difference. I also really enjoyed the massage setting on the Ab energizer. I recommend this product.

I feel the product would work if they would fix the button problem on them. I have purchased 3 and each one has had the same problem with the buttons. Some times the button won't turn the machine on or up they stick its awful.

I have had the ab energizer for under a week now. Not having any problems with shocks or burns, but the electonic units keep falling off. I believe this product is poorly made. They say you can use this product cleaning, watching tv, ect... all I know is that I cannot even move with out it falling apart. I'm ready to return and get my money back....

The ab energizer works perfectly for me. I like the product and I can say that you feel every muscle in you stomach moving. The system is great.

I used the ab energizer for about two months. I didn't really see a whole lot of results. Granted I only used it once a day, and not twice like they recommend. After the first time I used it I did feel some tightness in my abs, but soon that faded. My stomach was already pretty flat, so I was hoping for definition, which I never achieved. It is a little uncomfortable at first...kind of like a shocking felling, but you get used to it. It may work for some people, but I am going to stick with good old fashion sit ups!

I bought the ab energizer about 3 weeks ago, no pain or burns, and it really does work, but you do have to be in sort of a good shape or else you can't even see your muscle contract. I am 203 lbs and I never saw my muscle move because its covered with fat, but my roommate used it, he is about 140 lbs and we actually saw his muscle contract, we put it in his thigh and a sore heel, you could see his little pinkie move up and down, it was sooo funny. So my advice is: yes it works, but its only going to tone the muscle, its not going to burn the fat for you, for that I am using an elliptical trainer, I burn about 500 calories in 45 minutes. I use to be 256 lbs, so I still got a long ways to go.

I bought my ab energizer because I recently had a baby and I wanted to lose my tone my stomach muscles. I have had my ab energizer for about 3 weeks and I noticed a difference within the first week of using it. At first the only way I could use was by sitting. Then I tried walking around the house and realized it wasn't shocking me anymore. I found the reason it was shocking me before was because it wasn't in complete contact with my skin. It is cheaply made and the gel did run out very fast. I use aloe vera gel with mine now. It is very comfortable for me I just started using it on the 6th level on both programs. I am a very tiny person though I wouldn't recommend it for someone with a big stomach.

One of my friends bought an Ab Energizer, and I tried it out while I was at his place. I used it on my right biceps & triceps for 30 min. I though it was pretty good - no burns, no electrical shocks or any of that, and I was using it with KY jelly. I haven't bought one yet, but I am considering. From the reviews I have read I suspect that the manufacturing quality of the Ab Energizer varies HIGHLY! Some are good, some are bad. I plan on opening up the box and inspecting exactly which belt I get. For those getting burned - make sure you are clean!  Wash your belly if necessary. I suspect also that people with a lot of minerals in their water are getting burnt. Any electrically conductive material will burn you.

A couple of months back I order the Ab Energizer hoping for a flatter stomach. To my surprise I didn't get it. I used the Ab Energizer an hour every day for a month with no results. I measured my stomach before I started the program and after 30 days it was still the same. After using the product for about 2 weeks, I noticed some small round dark marks on my stomach, but I kept using the product because I believed once I got my stomach down I could use some fading cream to take care of the marks. Today, my Ab Energizer is in the closest collecting dust. It is just $59 down the drain. But I am happy to say that I have cut back my eating habits and exercising, and I have lost about 9 pounds in the last 2 weeks. Like the old saying no pain no gain. The only successful way to obtain a healthy body is hard work.

Great product! My husband and I both have them. He has lost two (2) inches from his waist only using the Ab Energizer once a day. I have toned up about one (1) inch from my abdomen and we are both quite pleased with the product. Invest in it, be persistent, keep to your regimen of using the Energizer, diet and walking and it will work for you. Good luck to all!!!!!

I've seen alot of hype on the news lately about this unit, and I figured I'd put my 2 cents in... Here's my opinion - Does it work? Yes and no: I'm just an average guy, 6'3" 200 pounds. I'm in fairly decent shape but I wasn't getting the ab results that I wanted so I bought the Ab Energizer. I've found that I've gotten more definition in my abs, and maybe even slightly stronger abs, but I have not lost any inches, nor do I expect to. It seems that the people who are complaining the most about this product are those who are very overweight and inactive. They expect a miracle and don't want to do anything to get it. I still run and do sit ups, but I also use the unit. You MUST exercise AND use them...Don't expect it to happen overnight neither, I didn't see any difference for about 2 months. Something I've noticed though - If you have one of these, rather than using the gel included, try plain old water. Just make the area wet where you plan to use it, you'll get a much stronger connection on your skin which is critical in making it work well...

I started using the AB Energizer about 4 months ago while still doing my routine workout and my body is now in the best shape ever. I can see the progress and with my workout the EMS really help you to get a nice abs fast. It wouldn't work if you just simply don't care about what you eat and not doing any exercise. You can't covert fat to muscle. Only lose fat and build muscle... and EMS can help you on building muscles instead of losing fat. That's how it works!
