I tried this product, gave it 2 weeks, it absolutely hurts!!! Electronic stimulation, more like electronic shock therapy!! I think I will go back to fast abs, seems that you can't use enough gel, still hurts, very disappointed in ab energizer, that's all!!

My gut is definitely getting back into shape! It's been 3 weeks now. I'm up to 2-3, 20 minute sessions M-F while I sit at my desk working on my computer. Then regular walking & weekend workouts. It takes a good couple of weeks to get used to it but it works ! I'm up to level 8 and the muscles real start feeling the contractions once you get the fat burned off. Like anything else--you have to stick with a regular routine and keep at it! Wet paper towels work great & cheap after the gel runs out. Go for it!!

This product actually works, I can feel my abs getting stronger after just a few times. The only thing is that, after just a few times...it has already started to fall apart, the tape is coming off, and the "metal" stuff on the back is wearing out, I just bought this 3 days ago.

Lets' clear up all of the bad news now. I got my ab energizer two days ago, and it works great! none of that burning or pain stuff. I can honestly say that its a great product that in my opinion will probably give me great results if I stick with it. All of that bad stuff that people are saying is probably coming from other competitors. I'm wearing right now and it feels great. Don't worry about your purchase, you did the right thing.

Total rip off. It did not do anything except put tiny burn marks on my fat gut. The instructions are way to complicated and time consuming. I only used the second level (out of 9) and I got burned, literally and figuratively.

I bought this a little over a week ago and have lost over an inch on my upper abs! I'll have to admit, I was skeptical about it when I heard all the hoopla. I use it about 30 minutes a day and the results are almost immediate. My only complaint is that it could have been made better.

Bought both products (fast abs deluxe) and I must say the ab energizer is the more comfortable if you have a gut. I bought two extra stimulators and they are putting a good hurt on my abs. I use twice a day and I feel the difference in the strength of my abdominal muscles. The fast ab product straps are very cheaply made and will wear out in no time. The super power stimulators (fast ab deluxe) work fine though. All in all both products are of same value but ab energizer belt is more durable.

I've had my ab energizer for about two weeks, and I must say I think it's great. I was "iffy" at first but it really worked out good for me. I've read that it shocks you, but I'm happy to report that I haven't been shocked at all and I use it everywhere; on my stomach, legs, butt, I even hold it on my arms. I do admit that I wish it was made a little better and the tightening gel seems to be going pretty fast, but if you clean it properly and make sure you take care of it I'm sure it will last for a while. As for the gel KY jelly works just the same. So far I've lost about an inch in my lower mid section and I 'm very pleased with the product. Overall with the proper diet and EXERCISE I rate this product about an 8 (taking off 2 points for the lack of gel and the way the product is made). Good luck to all of you, if I do end up having any problems I'll be sure to post.

I couldn't resist the temptation of this product so I purchased it over a month ago and still have yet to see any results. I'm a bit disappointed but I guess it doesn't work the same for everyone. Personally when I wear it, no matter how tight the belt is, it 'bites' me. More gel, less gel, wet paper towel; nothing seems to help.

Well I read this post after seeing the ad on TV in the breakroom at work. It peaked my interest since I have been lifting recently, but with one problem. Whenever I do crunches and sit-ups my legs become sore from holding myself up faster than my stomach. And yet I have this constant inner tube around my midsection. After reading these posts I expected to buy the thing and get shocked for a while, then my heart would burst in my chest! To my surprise it actually feels good. I used a ton of that gel, and found the feeling progress from weird to good. I hope that the posts are right about using alternative gels, since ordering anything doesn't appeal to me. I hope everyone curious takes the time to try it out. It's only 60 bucks, I spend more than that on crap I don't need each month.

I was skeptical and still am. I purchased the belt after reading some of the horror stories in these reviews (burning, shocks, etc) and quickly realized that a little extra gel on the belt and there are no shocks or burns. My waist has honestly lost a pant size in just over a week (compared with losing a pant size in a month prior to adding this device to my regiment). The GEL is pricey as are the batteries... but I found I could buy brand new batteries (name brand) off of the internet for less than $1 each and KY or "no name" water based GEL works just as fine.   Recommended to all who realize that this is just one more tool and that you will not get a 6 pack while sitting on the couch drinking a 6 pack!

I have had my Ab Energizer for a few weeks now. I love it and have had great results. Not only do I use it twice a day but so does my husband. The device has been getting a lot of use - even our teenagers use it! I believe in the science behind it coming from a medical background and knowing how this form of muscle stimulation has been used with paralyzed patients. I too opted for KY Jelly and it works great! As for other reviews that claim "pain" -- my motto is "no pain - no gain". All muscles burn when you push them during a workout. Fonda always said, "it's gotta burn or you're not working it hard enough." And she's right.

I found that the  product was over rated. The contact points did not make easy contact and the gel used was messy and did not work well. One of the four units with the belt did not work.

- Russolini of New Jersey, USA writes:

I took part in the so called "ab belt craze." I have a decent stomach, do crunches two days a week. I don't have a six pack, and don't really have the time to work my abs a lot. So I went ahead and tried this product. What I found is that it is very WEAK. I had to put it on workout #2 & intensity level 10 in order to feel anything that slightly resembles working my ab zone. If your looking for nice abs, stick with traditional methods or try Justin Leonard's workout formulas, which I have been using after I tossed the belt on. And if you stick with traditionally methods results will be much more noticeable.

Well, I've seen many ab products advertising on infomercials, but I didn't know which one was the right one...so I bought them all! I surprisingly came to find out that the Ab Energizer is way more effective than the AbTronic and the other ones. If you buy 2 more EMS units...you'll have 4 contacts, and that is way better!

- Doug of California, USA writes:

This product does tighten and strengthen abs if used consistently with a training program and diet. I noticed significant results in two weeks. My complaint is the shoddy construction. The snap-on units failed after a month of use and are clearly manufactured of inferior materials. So, it's a good idea poorly executed. I would advise purchasing a product designed to last and be willing to spend more money for it.

I use the Ab Energizer since three weeks and it works for me, even I couldn't go over level 4 yet. But for me the best position is laying down, watching TV and forget all about it. The battery still works, but the little bottle gel is already out. I'm not spending $19.95 for this little thing, so I bought a gel for less, it works. I lost around my waist and my thighs have a line I didn't have before. Everybody who says it hurts must do something wrong. Great thing, but the company has to do something with the gel, bigger bottle or less money.

1. The Ab Engerizer stings my skin no matter how much gel I use.2. The Ab Energizer blisters my skin.3. The Ab Energizer belt shows signs or wear after only the first use.4. In my opinion the Ab Energizer does not work and I am as of Feb. 28, 02 returning it where I purchased it for a refund. Reason, I am totally unsatisfied with this product.

- Becky of Illinois, USA writes:

Yes if anyone has been thinking of buying the overpriced Ab Energizer do so. If you would like cuts and burns like I have received myself. I got such a bad burn I had to go to the hospital to receive treatments for a piece of skin that was extremely burnt. Some people may say I wasn't using it correctly, even though I know it was because I went to the store before I put it on to make sure it worked. Please do not waste your money on this. I was hoping for improvement for the summer to wear a new bikini I bought. But now I don't even want to show off my stomach to anyone!

- Jermaine of Indiana, USA writes:

Well...I've had Ab Energizer for about a month...and yes, it did hurt at first, but after a week or so, I felt no pain at all. I started out on the highest intensity level though. It was hard to stick the ems units on...but eventually, they snapped into place. I have lost about four inches using it 2 times a day for about 1 hour. Of course my batteries went out, but you don't have to use the battery that they say you have to use. I just went and got another battery that fits into the socket and it worked. I can start to see deep imprints of my abs. I suggest running, or doing something to help you loose weight. That's the only way you'll really see the results. NOTE: THE DIET PILLS DO NOT WORK!!!
