I recently bought an ab swing from somebody on . She didn't have the manual. I m not sure I am using it the right way. I was told by a trainer at the local gym it is better to not use it because doing the excercise wrong can cause more harm then good.

do not get furious if people tell you you're doing it wrong, that's just your ego talking. :D this is a review for the Ab Swing II i don't know what its difference is from the ab swing if there's any. we recently purchased this product and it looks very promising. i promise to edit/update this review if i'd be unhappy with the results. it is natural to feel that you may fall over at first, don't be afraid. it really feels awkward when you're just starting(find your center of gravity or situate it so that your back is near a wall) and you'll get the hang of it in a few minutes. The handles help you to balance on the seat. Make sure you’re centered on the seat so that your weight is evenly distributed on the equipment. ensure your legs have sufficient bend in the knee. the greater the bend, the easier the movement. more on HOW TO USE this product Basic Position and Movement sit on it with your back straight. don't grip the handles tightly. relax and keep a loose grip. ensure you've adjusted the height to provide a slight bend in your knees for the basic exercise motion. sitting in an upright position with the back STRAIGHT, lift your legs towards your torso, contracting your abdominal muscles. hold for 2 seconds at the top of the motion. slowly release from the position by lowering your legs and feet back towards the ground, without touching the ground.this basic motion is mostly for the lower abs. to work your upper abs, lean your upper body slightly forward with each crunch. for the oblique crunch, you will turn your body to the side, leaving only one buttock on the seat. the final exercise is the leg extension which is for ADVANCED TRAINING ONLY. you adjust the leg bars so your legs are straighter, rather than bent.

I'm glad I bought the Ab Swing a little over two years ago to deal with lower tummy bulging. The first time I used it, my stomach hurt so bad that night, that at first I thought I had the flu! So yeah it really targeted my kangaroo pouch area. My swing is still in sturdy condition but every time you use it, you MUST check and make sure it is balanced with leg supports fully extended, so you don't have it collapse on you! While I never did get washboard abs, that's more me and my lack of diet. :> Still, I'm a 47 year old mom with a 27 inch waist so I guess I could be doin' worse. Buy it if you're thinking about targeting the area below the belly button. I believe it'll do the job.

the abswing is a great product. i am a teen of 15 and my mother baught this product 2 years ago. i recently quit smoking and strted working out. abswing has helped me in achieving a 6 pack that alot of my "smoker" friends envy. the abswing is also a very good leg stretch for the females. if you are looking for a way to stretch legs into splits position than you may like this stretch. 1- set the abswing up so your back will be against the wall 2- put one leg up and hook it it the footrest (the footrest may need to be shorter than usual for this.) 3- just let the other leg dangle off the seat and reach out to grab the bar. reach out until you feel the little pull then hold for 30 seconds. after a while of doing along with other leg workouts you will notice the change in flexability, and after using this product the right way , you'll have that 6pack all your friends want ; at any age.

I am not really sure how to use this equipment mainly because it was given to me after the person lost the instructions. So can anyone tell me how to use it. I can't be doing it right because it feels like I am going to fall off. Where do my feet rest is my main problem. I think I hold the side bars. Do my feet rest in what also appears to be some type of handle bars LOL HELP PLEASE

These people saying they don't think it's working, etc, are doing it wrong. If you're doing it right, the Abswing's an excellent product. You need to extend it out far enough that your body weight is below the centre of gravity, then every time you lift up, you're lifting a portion of your bodyweight. The lower you sit, the more of your body weight you lift. And you don't use your hands except to hold yourself there. You rise yourself with your legs. You *need* to follow the instructions or you will not see benefits. Do it right and it will tone your ENTIRE body. Don't throw your money away on a piece of equipment you never learn how to use properly. For under a hundred bucks, this is an awesome fitness investment. I'm glad I bought one way back when. It's been decent for me before, but I'm now using it regularly.

I've had this product for more than a year. I still don't see any effects. I don't even feel any exercise pressure in my ab area. Maybe I'm firming up my arms from the holding of the sidebars, but using the Ab Swing does not feel like a workout at all. I'm trying to avoid situps by using the Ab Swing. The product is sturdy; no problem there. I also followed the instructions on the videotape.

I bought the Ab swing as I just had a baby and wanted to get rid of the unwanted baby fat. I searched for something affordable and seeming to work and found the ab swing. It worked a bit for me but you have to control your eating and accompany it with a bit of aerobic workout. It also does wonders for the front thighs especially when the bar is at full length. The bars are a bit shaky but its pretty sturday and it has never toppled over.

I bought it a couple of months ago. I have a gained quite a bit of weight so I thought this one would be perfect for my abs. I think it4s quite good actually, even if I haven4t used it a lot. But I can feel the burn in my abs and that4s gotta be good.

i bought this for 5 dollars at a thrift shop. what a deal!!! for the first like two weeks i just sat on it to watch tv. hey im 21!. then my brother tried to take it from me beacuse i didnt use it so i started to use it. it works really well if you know what your doing and it took me a moment to figure it out considering i didnt have the instrcutions. i still sit on it to watch my favorite shows but now while i sit i workout as well, highly recomended if you eat right and use the machine frequently. with my eating habits and the help of diet pills and this machine i have lost 27 lbs in the last 3-4months!

Hi i have this machine and it is great. Like many people here have already said the reason most think it doesnt work is because they are not sitting on the end of it. Also make shure your legs are straight when sat at the end coz u can reali feel the burn. Also try not to do it with ur legs on concentrate on your abs doing all the lifting then it will work. Buy it.

I've used the ab swing for about a week now and after reading some of these reviews I was very unsure if I should buy one. After finding out for myself how fantastic it really is, it is better then I would have imagined.I have already seen changes in my abs, arms, back, neck, legs.followed by a healthy diet and using the ab swing when I'm just watching t.v.
