Absolute piece of garbage. And I couldn't be more unhappy with the customer service department of Infomercial Showcase.com (from whom I ordered the product. I ordered an AbTronic right around New Year's (if not before) and have yet to be able to use this item, for which I have already paid. When I finally received my AbTronic in mid-January, the neoprene pad didn't work (one side worked, the other didn't). I was told to send the pad back and that a new one would be shipped the same day. I sent the pad back (paid for the shipping myself), and waited for the new one to arrive. Two weeks later, I finally sent an e-mail inquiring as the the whereabouts of the replacement pad. I received an e-mail response that said, basically, "Oh, sorry....we'll get that out to you today." Now, two weeks later, I have finally received the pad, but it DOESN'T HAVE THE MICROPROCESSOR ON IT!!! Great! I have a pad, but I can't turn it on. Upon calling the customer service rep to order a new microprocessor, she laughed at the fact that I didn't detach the first one. Very nice. Again, I didn't know it was supposed to be detached -- I was told to send the entire piece back -- and I didn't think to start pulling pieces off of it first. I would highly recommend against anyone ordering this product.

I am delighted with the results of the Abtronic. I have been using the belt for about 3 weeks and have not had any problems. If you follow the directions and use the proper amount of gel you will see results.

It's really good the first 3 minutes after that it's all down hill. I had it for 3 days bought it Saturday. It's only Tuesday and the first battery is already gone with only 10 try's...yes I took it out of the unit and put it back in but that didn't work. Now I put the new battery in and by the end of the day the unit kept locking on me and I couldn't turn it off without taking the battery out. Let me put it to you this way..It's the equivalent of 10 sit-ups so just do the sit-ups for free.

For years I had problems with my lower back. Chiropractors helped somewhat, and Massage Therapists helped a bit more. After countless trips to them, somewhere down the line, someone mentioned that the reason my lower back hurts is because my stomach muscles are weak. Well I tried doing sit-ups, but that was very hard since I had no stomach muscles. Around that time, the abtronic was advertised, so I ordered one just to try it. Well I used it for 3 weeks on the lower ab's and also on my upper ab's and started to notice a difference. My back wasn't as sore as before I started using it. I used the abtronic so much I wore out one pad, but it was worth it as its been 2 months and I am pain free. I am now working on my upper back, as I feel the abtronic will help me there also.

I bought the AbTronic. The pad with microprocessor costs $150.00CDN, plus the cost of gel, and batteries can to around $210.00. I can notice a difference in my abs. They have become tight, and strong when I touch them, and are becoming more apparent to the eye. The AbTronic besides the capital, matenience costs are quite expensive. The batteries only last for 10 hours (at most), and the neoprene pad ages quickly ($30) to replace it. It's a good product if one can afford it. Hopefully, the company will spend more time and money in making a stronger more damage resistant design.

I recently purchased the Abtronic system and like most infomercials, you are "rolling the dice," when you order something. I must admit I was starting to feel my muscles begin to tighten and strengthen with this this product. The problem is my unit stopped working; the intensity died down and the belt wore down quickly. Yes, I changed the battery and used the trimming gel. I am just upset because I can't reach a representative of Abtronic to discuss my claim. I would love to see the results this product can produce but unfortunately my unit does not work.

I have just started using the abtronic. The comments I have read talk about the silver backing mine does not have that. It seems to work great.

I purchased this product and due to illness did not get to try it right away when I did I find it very cheaply made and within a short time it began giving me shocks and skin burn. A total waste of money considering I cannot get it to work properly. I only get shocks, and the price is way out of line. It is very cheaply made.

I bought one for myself for only 4 easy payments. It seemed to work a few times in the beginning, then it burned me repeatedly. I was using plenty of the gel, and it was only on one side. Considering there are many similar products for much less, I didn't even fool around with trying to get another. I just shipped it back. This version is definitely NOT worth paying so much more. I got a much cheaper one with the wires. It's not as strong, but the batteries are regular AAs, it works, I can use it on my face and most importantly...it doesn't burn me.

I've had my Abtronic since December. It worked great for the first few times. I couldn't even turn it up all the way because it worked my abs so well. But after a week the right pad started to burn a lot. I returned it but the best they could do was give me a new pad. I took it home and this one burned me on both sides instantly! I immediately returned it again, (a half hour's drive all over again) to find out that I had to pay 30 bucks for a new pad! So, I've been using this new pad since X-mas. It doesn't burn but I'm sure not seeing any results. The centerpiece is shorting out on me and it barley moves my abs. I paid a little over 200 dollars total for a cheap, useless product. I hope the immoral SOBs that sell these things get what's coming to them. I wouldn't recommend this product to my worst enemy.

I recently bought the AbTronic - I've had it for a week. It has not burned me, fallen apart, shorted out, or anything else like that. I got it for 83 bucks - I hope it doesn't start falling apart. But so far, so good.

I was just reading through a lot of reviews for this product and I have to say that I don't really agree. My dad ordered 2 abtronics and they have both worked very well for several months now. No one in my family has very gotten burned and the belts are still in good shape. They contract your muscles very well and it's very relaxing. It seems to work pretty well because I have already felt a noticeable difference in my abs since I started using it regularly. And even if it doesn't work very well for you, wearing it is very relaxing. It feels like a message. I really like it and so do all of my friends. It is expensive though, so before you buy this product, do some research about similar products that may be cheaper.

I wear it for 40-45 minutes a night 2-3 times a week, and I do see a difference in my waistline. I've had this product for almost a year and have dropped 4 sizes.

Been using it since December (6 months now). Not bad. With an hour on the road to and from work daily, I use it in the car - primarily on the arms in 4 general spots (R, L, forearm and upper). Definitely notice a difference. And it helps keep things in shape between (too few, due to time constraints) workouts with weights. Tried it earlier on the abs, but the longer belt just doesn't do a good job of keeping it in one place. I bought two. One of them is no longer functional, and I cannibalize it if the other one has a problem. A couple of the pads fell off, and disappeared, as did the battery compartment cover. Plus the pad was not as good. I think they have some quality problem wherein it is hit and miss whether you get a "good" one or not. I got one good one and one bad one - for $214. Too expensive - YES. But does it work? YES.

Hi, I have to say that I'm surprised over the result with the AB-Tronic. I lost 3 sizes even though I have thyroid problems. This product work so well for me. I exercise 30 min every day.

- Matt of Nova Scotia, Canada writes:

I used this product faithfully for about 2 months.  It was used in the following regions:  upper, mid & lower abdominal region, triceps, biceps and chest. I didn't find that it produced that much of a result, other than a very mild workout (even with changing the intensity).  My biggest complaint however was that the batteries provided only lasted for about 10 days and even more worrisome was that the silver backing was starting to wear away and would often leave burn marks on my abs. It's an interesting gimmick in that it feels like it's doing something, but in fact doesn't do much at all. My advise ... don't buy this product.  Consult with a local qualified gym instructor ... you'd get a better deal & they could probably put together a plan for those with back/neck problems who can't normally do sit ups.

I have recently purchased the abtronic. I have been using it for 3 weeks and I now have a 6 pack that stands out like nothing else. the first time I used it it felt weird and a tingly sensation but it becomes relaxing very easily. As to the other comments that were made about the silver lining you must not be using it correctly because mine does not crack.

- Anna of Florida, USA writes:

The AbTronic took over 8-weeks to arrive, worked for less than 45 days (even after putting in a new battery), joining the "club" to get supplies every 2 months never showed up,... After getting put on hold, hung up on, and literally "yelled" at, I called my credit card company to file a complaint against the company since they charged my credit card and the club membership supplies were never received. I paid the full amount for the AbTronic; the "supplies" charged to my credit card were never received (4-weeks), but the credit card company was successful in having the charge removed from my account.
