Total Scam!

12 Feb 2009 - Juli of Louisville, KY, USA writes:

Do not purchase this product unless you want to waste your time returing products you didn't order, talking to customer service representatives who don't speak english, or spending needless time calling your bank and running to the post office. I almost laughed when I received the product because the women demostrating how to use it in the video, (the bender ball developer) had a flabby belly and love handles. How tacky.

Love, Love, LOVE this ball !

12 Feb 2009 - Stephanie of Missouri, USA writes:

Works wonders ! Im a mom of two young kiddos and in my pregnancies I gained tons of weight. Once I worked the weight off I was still left with a pooch of loose skin ( gross I know). This product not ONLY defines your abdominals but, helped me gain elasticity in my skin! Im completely blown away. Now, I seen others remarks and if your one whos debating on buying the product let me give you some hintful advice. 1- If you cant handle canceling automatic DVD mailing list then I strongly suggest you either buy off [] OR send in a money order and wait that way. Either or there will be no program to deal with. 2- The ball is SUPPOSED to be flimsy. If your heavy, well built or even skeptical try buying a childs bouncy ball and create your own workout. If by chance you LIKE putting this into your workout program then you can just purchase some of the DVD’s since you already have a ball.

works

17 Jan 2009 - stephanie of philadelphia, usa writes:

I ordered mine from [], paying a little more, but didn't want to worry about the extra dvd's that everyone says they will send and charge you for. But anyways, the ball itself is really effective I think. It's good for strengthening the core, but won't shed you pounds all over your body, for that, it must be done with an intensive cardio regimen. I def. recommend the product.

Seems to Work...

14 Jan 2009 - Meredith of Providence, USA writes:

I bought the Bender Ball last summer, and used it for a few weeks before returning to college. While I was packing, I completely forgot to bring it back to school with me, and since returning home and using it just a few times, it has worked a little already. I had no problem with customer service, and purchased the ball and DVD's. I was not billed for anything additional. The product seems to be very effective, as long as I can muster the motivation to continue using it!

Bender Ball

20 Sep 2008 - Wendi of WI, US writes:

I love the bender ball. It really works. You can feel your muscles as you are working out and it shows. When I ordered it they did send me two, which I know I only ordered one. They took $10 off my account though, so I just made my sis pay me 1/2 for the other ball. I read about other people with this problem. My friend also bought it. She received dvd's afterwards that she never purchased, and they didn't give her money back for about 2 months. Then the charged her for another dvd. The first time she complained with the first dvd and they said that they took her name out of their system, well obviously not!! I think they have horrible customer service but I love the bender ball!!

I don't know what all of you are talking about..??

17 Sep 2008 - James G. of St.Louis Mo., USA writes:

I bought the Bender Ball earlier this spring/summer and I love the product. True, you could use a regular ball but did any of you think of that after ordering the product? I think not. A week or so after receiving the ball I canceled the monthly DVD program since I know how to read fine print and didn't have any problems. Now, all I use for my workouts is the Bender Ball and Balance Ball along with my weights.

How To Order

19 Aug 2008 - sparkle of NC, USA writes:

The bender ball, and a few other programs from this same company gives you a choice of auto-ship or buy the dvd one at a time. If you would just scroll down to the bottom of the site from you click order now you will see it give you the choice to order other things, and that is the page that you can order the single dvd's from, so you can bypass that auto-ship. Hope this helps.

Piece of Crap and Total Scam

13 Jul 2008 - Rachel of PA, USA writes:

DON'T BUY IT!! First of all, the ball is a cheap piece of crap that you have to blow up with a straw. If you want a small ball for exercises, you'd be better off buying a child's bouncing ball. Second, it's a total scam. No matter how often you say that you don't want any additional products, but strictly the ball, you end up getting signed up for some promotion ($47). I noticed a random charge to my account a month after I bought the ball, so I called customer service. Two weeks later when the promotional dvds arrived, I returned them immediately and got delivery confirmation from the post office as well to be sure they were returned. Three weeks later, another charge was added to my account. Of course, at this point I was quite irate. I called customer service right away stating I had already returned my products and the representative who was impossible to understand said they had not received my products at their warehouse (even though my delivery confirmation showed that the products had been dropped off 2 1/2 weeks prior to my phone call). By the end of the conversation, he said he would flag my name so that I would have my refund within 7-10 business days. 2 weeks later, I have yet to receive my money ($47 for useless dvds that I never wanted). The funny thing is that their customer satisfaction guarantee says that you have 30 days to review the product and then return it for a full refund (minus shipping and handling). They don't seem to actually follow this. Complete crap! DON'T BUY IT!!!

My Bender Ball Experience

9 Jul 2008 - Katie of NY, USA writes:

When I originally ordered the bender ball I was very displeased with the hour long sales pitch on the phone to order a ball that should have only cost $9.95 as mentioned on TV. They then sent me 2 and charged me for the price of 2 with 2 DVD videos. I did want the DVD to go with it, but not the extra set. I then saw that the bill was around $45. I called and complained and they only took $10 off my order. I couldn't really understand the person on the other line and he said I would only get my money back on one entire set if I returned it. Instead of going through the hassel, I gave one set to my sister for part of her b-day gift who enjoys working out. With the purchase all said and done (I think???). I have been using the bender ball and DVD video everyday for 1 1/2 weeks now. I absolutely love it! I am getting a stronger core extremely fast and I can tell my ab muscles are starting to take form already! The results are quick and I wasn't sore after the first 2 days of using it! I am very psyched about the program, although I want to know if there are more videos out there for the bender ball besides the core and buns and thighs workouts? I could get tired of watching the same ones day after day.... I'm sure a rubber toy ball from the store would do the same trick, but the video really teaches you breathing techniques and is, I believe properly paced per level (1,2,3) I really like it, but the sale was horrible and misleading!

Disaster

3 Jul 2008 - Lianna of AZ, USA writes:

For the loud mouths info, I made sure to tell the representative NOT to send me ANY other products and to make SURE I was NOT sugned up for any continuation program. The bender ball itself worked, but Bender Ball has now not only signed me up to take money from my account, BUT they are also giving my info to their affiliates and have today taken 96.69 out of my account. Plus when you call Bender Ball they have hired people I CAN'T UNDERSTAND!!! I ordered the product IN AMERICA

BE WARNED!!

27 Jun 2008 - Denise of Indiana, United States writes:

I did receive my ball and dvds. The dvds are cheesy and annoying but I did find the exercises to be helpful. The monthly auto program I have called to cancel three times. I don't even receive the products I am being charged for. I've been charged twice for $43.00 without receiving anything. My credit card company is pursuing. The company said I must return the products but I never received anything to return!!!

Will not use this product again

27 Jun 2008 - Melissa of TN, USA writes:

I am very displeased with the product but even worse, I hate the Auto Ship that they automatically enroll you in when you order the product. Then they continually deduct money from your account even when I called them to cancel the auto ship, in which they did not!!! What a knock off!!! I don't think they care about their customers, they just want their money. Be careful in the future when ordering products like this.

Bender Ball

13 Jun 2008 - Jill of Ohio, USA writes:

DO NOT USE ALL CAPS. I ordered the bender ball on the phone and do not recommend this to anyone. They wanted me to purchase many other items before they would take my order. I did finally order and received it in a few days. I ordered two VHS tapes, and the tapes did not work. I e-mailed the company and they did e-mail me back saying they would replace them. I have never received any replacements and it has been months. I do not recommend ordering from a company that sends products you can't use.

Do not buy this product!

11 Jun 2008 - Ginger of IL, USA writes:

First of all, it takes them more than a month and a half to ship the product to you. When the product does arrive, it comes with a straw to inflate the ball that is too small for the inflation hole so it is next to impossible to completely inflate the ball. The ball also does not hold shape when you use it - it becomes more of an oval than a sphere. Worst of all, they continue to send you products and charge your account without your permission. I called to let them know they do not have permission to charge my account, and a month later they charged me again! I finally had to speak to a supervisor in order to get a refund, but it is not even a full refund since they will not refund $12 of shipping and handling for a DVD I never ordered. Please tell everyone you know not to purchase from bender ball! The product quality and customer service is TERRIBLE!

I can't even believe everyone is complaining about it when it's in plain english, OH I'M SORRY YOU MUST ALL NOT BE ABLE TO READ ENGLISH. Grab a clue people. Learn to read BEFORE you buy. I read it and knew I would be on autoship so when I got the product I called right away and cancelled. IT WAS THAT EASY!!!!! DIM WHITTED PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO SHOP ONLINE!!!

Alternative

7 Jun 2008 - simon of ma, usa writes:

UPDATE: After much chaos, my friend received the bender ball and it seems to work fine in order to fine tune your abs. However, because of all the additional charges, poor customer service, and etc. I determined it is not worth it to use that company. Instead, i bought the same dimension type kickball from K-mart and I can't tell the difference between the 2 and it seems to work fine and I paid $6.99 with no videos and no problems. Find a rubber studded kickball and enjoy

Beware!!!!!!!

29 May 2008 - Nikki of Kansas, USA writes:

I have to agree that you must beware of this! First of all it took me over a month to receive the product. When I ordered it, at the beginning of this year, the website told me it would ship in one week. The preview program is mentioned in fine print and is easy to overlook. When I noticed my second charge I called customer service and was told since it had shipped i couldn't get a refund but that I could cancel my subscription, which i did. Today I just received my third charge from them since "I cancelled just under the 30 days required". So can't get my money back again but hopefully I'm cancelled finally. Probably not.

Learn To Read

28 May 2008 - Tracy of Illinois, USA writes:

I just read all these complaints...i'm sorry "reviews" and had a good laugh. i just recieved my bender ball after about 3 weeks, they tell you to allow up to 4 weeks for it, so the complaints about taking weeks for delivery could have been avoided had you simply read the web page completely. also, when you're purchasing the original product, they tell you about the monthly program that EVERYONE is AUTOMATICALLY signed up for. if you don't want it, just call and cancel! and the dvd's are not garbage; in fact, they activate muscles i didn't even know i had! yet the complaints were people quick to judge the product as useless....did any of you actually use it? more than once? a product isn't useless just because it didn't show up over night or in a fancy dvd case...try using it for a week or two & then offer a FAIR, HONEST review! the ball & workout are great - kudos to leslee bender for sharing a great idea!

Beware

13 May 2008 - Kelly of Co, USA writes:

UPDATE: I purchased this product and haven't been too happy with it. Beware though once I bought it my card was charged again about a month after I purchased my ball. They told me that I registered for a monthly program that I didn't and then they told me they would refund my money with the exception of the S&H. Beware and keep an eye on your card!
