FIRST, let me say Im a 32 year female & I LOVED this the moment I opened it out the box when I seen how extremely organized the assemble parts were. NO crazy bolts & nuts to count. ITS ALL NICELY PACKAGED IN A SEALED PLATFORM!! All nicely laid out. I was so impressed. I had stored this out in the garage in fear i would never have what it took to put it together. It was a whole year later that I decided to just get over it & face the assembly challenge. But my goodness what challenge! I had this up in about 2 hours. I NEVER seena instruction book so completely thorough! I put the whole thing together MYSELF and MOVED it! It was later I discovered they ACTUALLY HAD A INSTRUCTIONAL DVD!! I could have saved maybe 45min using that instead, but I didnt even need it. The work out are good and the retention is insane. Their 5 pounds feels like 10. If you make it to the 100+ pounds, you are probably using more like 150+. Me and my son use this nightly as i have this right in our living room! We watch TV,Movies & get our workout on. Everyone loves the ease of adjustment but appreciates the extreme resistance it provides. This aint no crappy weak machine, you have got to be strong to lift what they say is 100 pnds. Best investment yet. I never did assemble my PlatBowCross from years ago, but by the reviews, I wont even waist time figuring out the millions of parts. This machine ROCKS & its quite attractive too. I also recommend upgrading to the additional leg & waist harnesses. I couldnt imagine not having them because they also work well with one of my Pilate's machines that had terrible harnesses. This machine would have been perfect if it had a lil more hamstring action. A+

I've owned all sorts of fitness equipment over the years ranging from free weights , to multi-station gyms , to two versions of the Bowflex (Power Pro and Sport). While I did like the Bowflex machines , once I tried the Bio Force at a local sporting goods store , I was convinced that this machine is superior. The resistance is consistent over the whole range of motion , and one can change the resistance much faster than on the Bowflexes. The only thing that I added was a bar for doing squats. You can just use the hand straps , but I place the foot cuffs on either end of a 9lb Troy bar and it works great , especially since it is already covered in rubber.

Overall I think it is an outstanding machine. I can more effectively circuit train than with the Bowflex because change over is MUCH quicker. I like how the resistance compares as well. I tried it at [] first and really liked it. I like it even more after 2 weeks. My heart rate gets up I can easily and safely train most muscle groups to failure. I noticed a difference the first week. Pros:quick changeover, plenty of resistance (except for calf raises and shrugs if you are vry strong--I can't come close to benching 220 on this but I can do 315 with free weights, well designed workout program for beginners as well as experienced trainers--every day is different., variety of excercises. Cons: The squat function is great and it is hard if you are tall to get a full range of motion on that exercise. It would be nice if they had a cable extension and squat bar, it is less portable than bowfex and assembly took a while. My only other question would be how durable the cylinders are in the long run. Power rods are lifetime warranteed. I got a five year with this (they offered lifetime online but I got it at [] on sale for 899.)

I've had this machine about a month now. The assembly instructions were clear and organized. All parts were included and clearly labeled. Assembly was a breeze. I can move it around the room by myself if needed and I'm about 115 lbs. The pulley system is very smooth. No squeaks or clanks. Changing the weight level is a breeze. It takes about a minute to change the position of the pullies to switch from different exercises. Highly recommended. :)

I purchased this product in June 07. It is my first all in one machine. This machine gives me a great full body workout. It is very simple and easy to change exercises and resistance. I highly recommend the Bioforce!

My take on this machine is mostly negative. It doesn't feel like real weight. There is no stability, as if you were benching free weights. It pulls back, and does not accurately depict natural gravity, at all. With that said, the hardware was acceptable. It's not top quality, by any means. Its not as heavy as any weight rack, or bench, that is built with the same standards. If you want to build muscle, get a powertec rack, a barbell, a bench, and a 300lb weight set. You can get all this for under what you'll pay for this machine, and it will be all you ever need. I owned one of these, and got rid of it. Nothing beats freeweights, period.

To put it simply to start...this is just an all around incredible machine. The resistance is the smoothest I have ever felt on a home work out machine and it makes your workout enjoyable. The main goal of resistance training is to tear your muscle fibers so they grow back stronger and this machine will tear the hell out of them right along side good ol free weights but with extra comfort and the safety of the resistance cylinders (no dropping weights, no need for spotters etc.) The best thing about this machine is the fact that all I have to do to go from a bench press or fly to a shoulder press is push UP instead of out. SIMPLE! No changing bench heights, no having to change handles. It takes all of about 4 seconds to change the resistance from 20 pounds to 200 pounds be the use of the pegs on the resistance cylinders. The Bioforce TNT simply out performs the Bowflex in EVERY aspect, in my opinion it is the death of the Bowlflex and other machines like it. I can't say enough great things about it. I've owned a Weider Cross Bow and a Bowflex, and while they were both good workout machines for their time, the Bio Force TNT simply blows them away in performance, simplicity in changing resistance and going from one body part to another, comfort, the way it's built, and my experience with customer service was great. I would highly recommend this machine to anyone who has wanted to buy a home gym..beginners and seasoned fitness gurus. This is a MUST buy. Have fun!

I saw the infomercial and was unsure so this is what I did. I went down to [] and got on the machine after trying the best Bowflex they had on the floor. The 2 products don't even compare. The BioForce is so smooth, easy and natural. Don't take my word for it as I no longer listen to infomercials as I have been burned too many times. Like the sales guy at the store said and I quote "this is killing the bowflex". "I've seen a lot of crap come thru these doors and this is one of the best machines I've seen". Those were his exact words. But don't take my word for it, go down to a local [] and try the bowflex first, then get on the Bio Force and see which one you walk out with. I should know because I own both, although it is an older Bowflex.

I puchased the Bio Force in 06. I put my gym togather with little effort. I even moved it to another location in my home, with little disassembly and it took ten minutes. I think in one of the reviews there was a bolt self tightning the swing arm. The washer had to be placed in correct position and tightned good at all screws and bolts for proper allignment. Great workout machine.

I recieved my Bioforce TNT on Saturday 6/30. Very nicely organized - easy to lay out. I was impressed on how easy the instructions were to use - I could actually understand them and the illustration matched what it said. There were a few problems - allen bolts missing from seat - I was able to by indentical at hardware store. Holes in upper bars did not alogn with brace - needed to drill correct holes to fasten. And last - the two top frame bars seem to have some wiggle in them - I will contact customer service or come up with a way to stabalize. Will comment on how it works within a week. Pat

I bought the Bioforce TNT approximately 2 months ago. I have been lifting weights - sometimes competatively, for 20+ years. So far, I have been very happy with my purchase. It is extremely versatile and can be changed from one exercise to another very quickly. The circuit routines that I used to do in the gym are even faster to complete at home (no waiting for weights). The reality is - it is not free weights - but I can get a very good work out in with more than enough resistance. I would definately recommend this product.

UPDATE: I would just like to add to my previous review that the design is very simple which is good. I works on the principle of leverage. I cylinder pressues stays constant but resistance level increases or decreases according to how much leverage is place on the cross bars. I think it is a great addition to my gym which includes free weights. This is just my honest opinion. Nothing to gain or lose.

There is just as much negative resistance as positive. Also it feels very smooth and natural. If I was blindfolded I would think I was lifting a weight stack except you don't get the "clang" when the weights slam down. Also the range of motion is very generous. The cables will pull long enough for any exercise before hitting the stop. This machine is much better than the bow and elastic band type machines. I have over $4000 worth of equipment in my home gym and this is one of my favorites. One more thing, I am 236lbs and although I am no body builder (51yrs old too)I do lift heavy free weights. I cannot bench the max weight on the Bio Force. It has all the resistance I need.

Nice - need to buy. I purchased it and am very impressed with the versatility and ease of use. I recommend this to anyone that is serious about fitness - not weight training.

I have had this machine since the beginning of July 06, work out on it 3 times a week, and have had very little to no problems at all. After the 8 week program I noticed a small squeaking sound coming from one of the pulleys, but after a month it left as quick as it came. Another problem that i seen listed below is the paint scraping when removing the seat. Although only aesthetic, still alittle annoying. You cant review what kind of workout this machine will give you. A person could go out in the woods and lift logs and boulders all day and get a great workout, but the quickness and fluid transactions was the real seller here. If it takes a person over 10 seconds to change from one workout to another id be suprised. I have emailed bio-force many a time with questions concerning different workout forms and best times, and everytime they have answered my email in 24 hours.

Assembly was simple and overall the machine is a dream. I have personally in past years suffered from the peaks and valleys of weight management, not to mention never having the kind of physique I could be proud of. Then I found the Bioforce TNT on [] I'll tell you what. I have had the machine for 4 weeks now and have completed 6 weeks of the actual 8 week program. I have have replaced fat with muscle and am now well on my way to the physical appearance I could never attain before This machine will be my significant other (for working out) for the rest of my life.

It has been 1 week since i have received and assembled the bioforce. So far I'm very pleased with this macine. No problems in assembling but the instructions at time were a little confusing. DVD helped. This is a solid macine, well made. the only negative was the shipping from ups. They misdirected the second box and had to wait two days to get it reschedualed. A call to their shipping and telling them i was not pleased, they delivered it that day. This is a solid macine, better that some other knockoffs to the boflex. I'm looking forward to put this through it paces.

I purchased this machine based on ease of use, time it takes to go from one exercise to another, how quickly you can make weight adjustments, and it's a sleek looking machine to boot. I've had it for two weeks and can honestly say that it works as advertised and that I am thoroughly pleased. This is one machine I see myself using often. My machine is constructed very well. I have no problems...time to get ripped.
1 Sep 2006 - Pat of Texas, USA writes:
The BioForce machine is a good design but suffers from very poor quality control and mediorce customer support. My original problem was if I tightened the bolts as instructed, the left swing arm would not move. If I loosened it, it would slowly tighten up with each rep. The problem was that the hole was a little to deep for the bolt. I needed a bolt about 3mm longer to work properly. They sent me a new machine (when I wanted a bolt). So I had to disassemble and ship the old one and assemble the new one. The only problem was the new one had a more serious problem because the bushings on the key pulley were out of alignment and the bolt would not go through it. If you order this product, be prepared to have to deal with problems.
