I have owned a Bowflex PowerPro with Lat Tower for over a year. I have probably used it two to three times per week. Also, my son and wife use it, too, so it has been a good family investment. I am very happy with the quality. Thought the price was high, but rationalized it over what I could save over five years membership to a health club. Mainly, it saves me time. Instead of going to the Club, involving making time to get there, and waiting in line to use a piece of equipment, I go down to my basement and get the workout in. Matter of fact, I have more time for the workout, so I don't feel so rushed and do a better quality workout. Overall - satisfied.

I had my bowflex for 4 years now. I love it. The handles broke twice. But they were replaces at no charge. But the screws on the seat came loose once and scratched the rail. And it is overpiced. But it is great for a home gym. As a personal trainer I think overall it is a good product.

Very good machine. Have owned the Bowflex PowerPro for 2 years now, and love it. As far as customer service is concerned, I have had no problems with it. Recently I broke a piece off of the upright bench. I called customer service, they were friendly and took care of the problem no questions ask. The only thing I did not like, is they wanted the broken piece returned at my expense. Overall I would recomend this machine to everyone. You really get out of it what you put into it. You can bulk up,slim down, tone up, its up to you.As far as price, you get what you pay for. A quality machine, well made. When this one wears out I will purchase another.

We have have the Bowflex Power Pro for 1 1/2 years. We got the lat tower instead of the leg attachment. My husband and I both love it. The machine was rated up to 300 lbs for the bench capacity, but my husband was over 350 when he started and the machine held up fine. He is 6'6" and has not had any problems using it. His biceps are like rocks. As far as the price, it's a well built piece of equipment, and the treadmill we have was more expensive. He recommended to a friend from work who bought it and loves it. My arms and shoulders look great, and I now have calf definition. I recommend it to everyone I know.

I've had the Bowflex XTL for about 2 years, with serious use over the past 9 months. I have been working out for many years, on and off, and was competetive bodybuilding at one time. First, yes the price is high, but easily offsets paying 40 plus a month for the gym, and I have it set up in my room. The rods and pulleys are much safer though I am tradionally a free weights guy, I have sucessfully worked out in gyms on business trips with very little transition worries between the free weights and rods. If you have the money get it, otherwise, talk to both users of bowflex and the crossbow? system. The versatility is definitely there in the bowflex and is worth it since I have saved that much by working out at home.

Overall a great product! HOWEVER, if you're wanting to bulk up your legs DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME! You'll never achieve great legs with the maximum of 410 pounds on this machine.

I have had my Bowflex for 8 months now and wouldn't trade it for anything... It's easy to use, effective and relatively inexpensive if you compare it to a club and travel time.

With the Bowflex I'm able to complete a quality workout with a machine that satisfies all of my workout needs at times that suit my busy schedule. I made my purchase on a special where the leg extension attachment was included as a bonus. I also purchased the add-on Chest Extension Bar which spreads the pulleys apart for the bench presses or the chest flies. I recommend this attachment especially for the chest flies, as I believe it provides a better range of motion. The only negative responses I've ever read concerning this machine is that the progressive, rather than continual, resistance was not preferred by some. At one time I had a basic weight machine and in my opinion, any progressive resistance effect of the power rods is minimal and I can't say I've noticed any great difference. Overall I'm extremely happy with this product. It offers a multitude of exercises with minimal setup times and changes, it's very quiet and compact. Although I think it is very well constructed, like the review here, I feel it is a bit overpriced. Also you have to position your body in a bit of an awkward position to use the leg attachment. Other than that, I'm a solidly pleased Bowflex customer!

The Bowflex is pricey, BUT, I found a health club membership that I did not have time to use was a terrible value. At least with a Bowflex, I can make time to do a 30 minute workout twice per week before taking a shower in the morning. I'm overweight, but I found that when I used the Bowflex once or twice per week and kept to a 2000 to 2500 cal diet, I lost weight, had observable muscle definition, and felt more energetic.

Machine is OK but cost much much more that it is worth. The biggest problem is the incredibly bad customer service. They have forgotten who the customer is. Not only did they not inform me of some conditions of sale but they believe they have the right to mislead their customers by not telling them about certain details.

INCREDIBLE machine. I really hadn't done much exercise since I had gotten out of the military several years ago. Sure enough, gravity seemed to be pulling down, stopping at the gut, and growing out. The bowflex is DEFINITELY all it's cracked up to be. The resistance through the entire range of movement makes for a very definitive burn. The workout documentation contains several workout programs, each crafted for your individual goals, be it weight loss, raw muscle mass, or simply leaning what you already have.

Love it! It gives me a great workout in the privacy of my own home. Smooth as silk movements. I have tried other machines - none have come close to the "feel" of the bowflex. Drawbacks: Price, and not all of the movements in the book can be performed well...due to, in my opinion some minor machine design flaws. Overall a great home workout. Most important exercises can be done well.

It is a really well thought out fitness tool for the body. It takes the dangers of real weight and the momentum out of the picture, so you can safely workout to your maximum without fear of getting crushed or slipping and causing injury. Very fast resetting for different muscle groups which keeps the heartrate up. The cable and pulley system lets you move in your own arc that is comfortable for your body. I have the PowerPro XTL and have tried others and this is the only one for me.

I haven't set foot inside a gym since high school. Last year I decided to give myself the gift of better health for my birthday. I have no desire to step inside one of those national chains that call themselves fitness centers. Sleazy "meet market" bars w/out any beers is a more apt description of those places. I asked some friends, did a little research, and chose to spend my money on the Bowflex. I went for the top of the line model-Power Pro XLT w/the squat attachment. I LOVE IT!!! Did I spend too much money? You might say yes. But I have a weight machine that can perform almost any exercise inside of a gym-INSIDE MY HOME. I row on the machine every morning. I lift weights on the machine 4 nights a week. I feel better-I look better-and health and fitness are now a part of my life. And I don't work for Bowflex. I work in radio and 20 years of goofy hours and late night concerts and parties started to catch up with me.

Well worth the cost! My cuts have developed, and my flat bench press on free weights has gone up in six weeks. Make sure you get the XLT for the lat pulldowns.

The bowflex has done nothing for me. If it is the muscle-looking body you are after, then bowflex is not for you. If you are looking to lose weight, it may help you, but if you want to look like the men in the commercials, then you better stick with free weights.

I purchased the bowflex several months ago. I have seen a definite improvement in looks as well as bulk. I have lost weight and toned up. If you use it the way it was meant to, the benefits will be there. I said goodbye to the gym and have used the bowflex daily since day one.

Unbelievable!!! I have had my Bowflex for 3 years. A friend of mine was a former body-builder had recommended it to me. He kept in great shape with the Bowflex and said I would love it. Love it I do. It is everything they say it is and more. The perfect home gym. No spotter needed. Looks as good today as it did 3 years ago. I tell everyone about it. Wish I made commission from Bowflex.

No question the Bowflex is expensive relative to other exercise products, but it does have the advantage of being easy to use, quick to switch exercise positions and add weights (resistance). I don't think I will look like the guy in the commercial but it does allow me to get a level of exercise that I would not get unless I had the time to go to a gym (which I do not have). The only complaints I have regarding the product is an annoying bolt that interferes with your leg when performing leg extensions and a bolt that sticks out from the vertical tube that makes up the support for the lat attachment, the head of the bolt sticks out and you can catch yourself on it. Small complaints but for the money I would not expect to find them. Would I buy it again, have to admit - Yes, it's meeting my expectations, and maybe I will look like the guy in the commercial.
