I recently purchased the Bun and Thigh roller with the hopes of firming and toning up.  I don't need to lose weight.  I found that I had to skip right away to the imtermediate steps as the beginner steps were too simple and I didn't feel a thing. I would like to know what some of you have done so that you don't slide all over the floor!  It's hard to get a good work-out going when you have to stop every 5 mintues to get back to the other end of the room where you started! Someone mentioned the Non-skid yoga mats.  Do these work?  I have used the rug grippers that you place under rugs to keep them from moving, but the rug gripper ends up getting bunched up in the wheel--very frustrating!!  I agree with some of you who say that the company should include something that states how we can purchase a mat as I the company most definitely knows that this product slides all over the floor.  Like I mentioned, I can only do one type of exercise on this machine that I can actually feel any results with.  I think I may just throw it in my next garage sale and look into the lateral trainer, or just stick with my outdoor bike and my treadmill.

I have to agree with most of the responses on here, this piece of equipment is useless. I tried it several times and never felt a thing other than frustration. I constantly have to stop to return it to my starting point because it "rolls" all the way across the floor. I've had it set on the most difficult setting and don't feel anything in my legs, thighs or butt! I would strongly recommend that you don't buy this product. It is a waste of money. I only wish that I had found this website before I purchased mine. Now I'm concerned I won't be able to send it back, and if I can it looks like I'd still only get $20 of the $80 I spent returned after all the shipping costs to and from me. Here's a suggestion for all of you who are as disappointed as I am: buy one of those big yoga balls for $15. You can do the same exercises on it and it works!

I purchased the bun and thigh roller in Jan.  I got the plan where if you bought two you got one free. My mother and myself used this machine and neither one of us ever saw a difference I sent them back to get my money back before the charged me a second month. The shipping alone cost 56.00 then I had to wait three months just to get any money back because you cannot reach anyone in their customer service EVER!! So I got refunded 59.00 for the first payment of the two but spent 99.00 to get them sent to me and 56.00 to send them back and i got 59.00 for all of that AND THE PRODUCT IS AWFUL.

I really love this product. I've been reading some harsh reviews about this product, which surprises me. First of all I hear about the product slipping. Yes, it does slip a bit. But it's not a big deal. My advice is if you don't push against the back rest too hard but rather use your legs to push toward the ceiling, you'll not slip as much and it works your butt much better. Any product that claims to do the exercise for you is totally untrue. You need to feel a little burning to know that it is in fact working. It doesn't need to be painful, but working out should be work. Secondly, I'm not over weight at all, I'm 5'4 and about 125. I'm just looking to tighten up my butt and thighs. If you're 20 or more pounds over weight, you won't see results until you lose that weight. I don't understand how the population is so ignorant to this fact. When you lose or gain weight your body distributes the fat evenly over your WHOLE BODY. Working out one area won't lose the fat there, rather just define and enlarge your muscles.  You may have awesome abs, but you won't be able to tell until you lose the fat layer ontop of the muscles.

This is yet another peice of useless junk that my wife wasted my hard earned cash on.  She complained about it so much that I decided to give this a go before I throw it out for the rubbish to collect.  My wife was right to complain about it.  First and foremost, this thing just slides around like it's on ice.   We tried putting it on a yoga mat - all that did was wrinkle up the mat which made the excersise bumpy.  We then put double-sided sticky tape onto the rollers - all that did was pick up all the cat fur off the carpet as it still continued to slide across the room.  For the short time I was able to use it (because I had to keep stopping due to it rolling across the floor) I found it caused stress and pressure to my knees and caused pain to my lower back.  This is another waste of money folks - I advise you to perhaps save your money and buy one serious, well tested professional peice of equipment that is worth the money.  I am now having to sell this, plus a few other excersise gimmicks, on [] in order to get them out of the cupboards, out from underneath the beds, out of my sheds and, in short, out of my sight!!  Having said that, her latest purchase is the Winsor Pilates - I guess at least that doesn't take up so much space!!

I have been using this product for 1 and a half months now and I also am dissapointed. I too wish I would have found this web site before I invested in it. So far I work out on it 15 min a day 5 days a week and have only lost 1/2 inch. Not to mention the rolling across the floor.I'm tired of it so I bought the easy shaper and gazelle today hopefully that will work!!!

I was so excited to try this exerciser. I know it COULD work if it would stay in place. I called the company to see if they sell the mats that the users in the video are on - but they don't, (and they said the mats afre just for looks, they aren't there for slippage). They told me I was doing the exercises wrong and that if I did them correctly the product would not scoot across the room. Interestingly I paid closer attention to the video, and if you will watch it you'll see that they start in the front of the mat, and by the time they're done they are at the opposite end of the mat, so I guess their experts had some problems keeping the exerciser in place as well. I am going to try the non slip yoga mat that someone mentioned, and hope that works...I really hate to spend any more money at this point!

Love it!! I've been using the Bun and Thigh Roller for about a month now and am very satisfied.  I have noticed that my pants are fitting better and that my rear doesn't giggle as much.  Those of you out there who are not satisfied must not be doing right or haven't done enough workouts for it to be effective.

This product is the worst way to waste the money.I bought the bun and thigh roller from an infomercial. It was selling for $ 89.99. I ended up with 6 monthly charges in my credit card ranging from 44.99 to 87.99. I ended up paying  $ 290 for a product that is imposible to use because it slides. It doesn't stay in place no mater what you do. You concentrate most of the effort trying to stay in place instead of exercising. I do NOT recommend this product. If you think you can return it forget it..Customer service never answers the phone. I have no way to claim the extra charges to my credit card.. It's a nightmare

4 Apr 2005 - Doug of Minnesota, USA writes:

I just read through many of the postings here about the Bun & Thigh Roller and was struck by the consistently whiney attitude exhibited by many of you out there.  I found one of these units abandoned in the lobby of my girlfriend's apartment building, apparently cast of by yet another on again, off again exerciser looking for a quick fix. I've used the machine and it works just fine.  Sure it moves a little, but not so much that I had to get off the thing after a couple of minutes.   You need to be aware of your surroundings and focus on the muscles you're trying to exercise.  It moved to the left on me until I realized that I was pushing too strongly with my right leg.  Once I concentrated on evening out my muscle action I was able to correct the drift to the left. Folks, it's not the machine that is supposed to do the work, it's you.  So focus on how you are flexing your muscles, go slow and in control, and by all means, keep your eyes open and pay attention so you don't bump your head into a cabinet like the one lady below.  If you're body is hurting, it's trying to tell you something...don't do that anymore!  You can hurt yourself on any machine if you're not picking up on the cues your body is sending you.  Don't blame the machine when you are probably not paying attention closely enough to your surroundings, your own body, and the need to balance all exercise with proper diet and other exercise.   There is no cure all for years of neglect, and no short cut to good health. This machine can be the part of a good workout if you decide to make it work for you.  If on the other hand, you are going to blame the machine for your problems, there isn't a product on the market that will cure your ills. Good luck

I bought my bun and thigh roller from an infomercial--something I will never do again!  It took me forever to put it together, the instructions were not clear, during my very first use the resistance band popped off, as the roller was sliding across the floor!  Worst of all I has seen the same useless product advertised for $39.00 after I paid $110!!!  I wish I would have done more research before buying.

Well, the only good thing I can say about this product is that they did get the name right according to what it actually does.  It does roll and roll and roll clear across the floor.  Really annoying when you have to keep stopping and scooting back up to where you started.  Once, during one of my first workouts with it, I was exercising in the kitchen.  Was doing fine and had my eyes closed, didn't realize I had rolled clear across the floor and suddenly I banged my head of the cupbord behind me.  I quickly came to an abrupt stop.  Also the thing squeaked really loudly.  Funny thing was it sounded like one of our cats and one day I was using it and my daughter asked why the cat was crying and I said it wasn't the cat, but the Bun&Thigh Roller.  I ordered the arm attachment and each side kept flopping down on the floor.  Wouldn't stand up by themselves in the upright position.   I called the company I got it from and they quickly sent me a return label and I sent it back.  Postage paid!!  They even refunded my money plus original shipping since the product was proven defective.  I do not suggest purchasing this piece of exercise equipment at all.

I received my bun and thigh roller about a week ago, and had the same problem with it rolling across the carpet.  You know those plastic runners some people put on stairs?  [] sells it by the foot, so I bought 6 feet, which cost me less than $6.00.  The kind I bought has little spikes on the bottom.  This seems to have done the trick.

I so wanted this product to work well, but it just doesn't. I've given it a try several times, and tried to stick with it, but there are just too many drawbacks. It slides everywhere (no matter the surface: carpet, yoga mat, hardwood floor), and my lower back always hurts. Plus, you have to order more resistance bands if you want an effective workout. It's clunky and just not worth the money. I wasted the cost of a   month's gym membership on it and now it just takes up room in my closet.

22 Feb 2005 - Patricia of Virginia, USA writes:

I ordered it from the infomercial with great skepticism.   Once received, it took about 30 minutes or so to assemble - not a problem.  I used it off and on for 3 months.  It provided a real challenging workout, however I had to move from the basic to the intermediate workout almost immediately.  I felt the burn on my Quads, Gluts, Inner/Outer thighs, and abs (when contracted on the up roll).   The key is to relax your upper body and tilt your butt a little as you roll up to contract your gluts and abs.  I absolutely hate the "scoot" across the carpet though.  I thought about putting duck tape on the wheels.  Using the upper body attachment provides an even better workout to my chest and arms.  I'm overall pretty happy with it.

The bun and thigh roller is okay. I haven't had it to long, but Ive been giving it my 5 min. a day. I really feel it in the back of my thigh, not so much on the top or in my butt. My lower back however is feeling it more I think than anything, I wish they would tell you if this is harming you, or if your just working some muscles back there you usually dont work. I just hope I wont injure my back! maybe they could be a little more specific on that part! The video really was not great either. Also it was a bit pricey. I'm having faith that this thing will work, but my lower back is not real happy afterwards. I guess we will see.
