I've been using the Core Secrets give me 20 video for about 2 weeks now and really love it. I had to have total hip replacements on both hips before I turned 40 and was looking for a way to tighten the muscles in my legs and hips. I purchased the basic package to see if this would be a beneficial & fun program without the chance of dislocating a new hip. I do have to modify some of the twisting moves but absolutely love the other exercises! I can feel the burn without hurting myself. I agree that two months is too long to wait for new videos and will be looking to other sites to purchase them sooner. This program is great for people wanting to look tone, but I feel even more beneficial for those of us who NEED to be tone. I'm actually going to purchase a smaller ball for my 11 year old son who also has joint problems so he can follow along with me because I know this will benefit him as well. Thanks for a fun workout!

I have tried other fitness videos and was becoming discouraged every time they go too fast and do not take the nessesary time to explain the moves or go over anything and they just jump from one move to the next and expect you to keep up. It becomes challenging so you just give up and figure you will be happier not worrying about it but you still feel guilty every time you dig into the kid's Halloween stash or try a piece of birthday cake. And with the Holiday's here, most of us are packing on a few extra pounds over the winter season, let's face it!! Gunnar Peterson's Core Secrets is the absolute best thing out there!! When I quit smoking I gained about 20 pounds I couldn't shake. Now I see results not in loosing any weight but I have dropped 4 jean sizes in a month. Everything is getting toned and firmer. I started out with five pound weights and now I use eight pound weights. I also use ankle weights to help slim down and speed up on the loss of the cellulite on my legs and glutes. Seems to be working beautifully! Plus it puts you in a good mood and you feel good about yourself when you see the results in such a short amount of time. And it also boosts your metabolism. With all this going for you, you can't go wrong! If you just try it you will see what I mean!!

Okay, so I'm one of those people that HATES working out. I tell myself, "I need to work out", I get myself all geared up and then usually after a week, I'm done. So I ordered Core Secrets after seeing an infomercial...I thought it looked fun and I liked the idea of getting different videos to keep me interested. I'm a Gemini, I bore easily! Plus, I had just had a baby at the end of March and I wanted my body back...I just couldn't shake those last 10 lbs! Well, Core Secrets is FABULOUS. I truly enjoy my workouts and time flies while I'm doing them. The first few times I worked out on the ball, I was so sore that I told my husband that I'm pretty sure that I worked muscles that I didn't even know I had! He and I have both noticed a difference. My arms aren't flabby anymore and my belly isn't hanging over my pants anymore! I'm confused by people who are unhappy that their weight stays the same, but are losing inches by using this product. I haven't lost much weight either, but have definitely lost inches and to me, that's all that matters! Lets not forget that muscle weighs more than fat, so you may not see large amounts of weight come off, even though you're losing inches...especially if you're not doing cardio in addition to your Core Secrets DVDs. You'll notice in the "Gunnar's Game Plan Training Journal" that Gunnar encourages you to add cardio if you want to lose weight. Add some cardio and I bet you'll see results! And if the videos start to get too easy, do more reps and add more weight. It's not rocket science and that's the case for any excercise regimen. Thank you Gunnar for FINALLY coming up with a product that isn't a bore!

When I ordered this product, I was told it was out of stock.   It took quite a long time to receive but I thought it was worth the wait once it was here and I had completed my first workout.  I had to run the 20 minute DVD back 3 times to get a good hour-long workout but felt pretty challenged by the ball.  7 days later, my cat fell off my desk in the basement, landed on the ball - forcing him to engage his core and he dug in with both claws - puncturing the ball.  Because the garbage from my order had still not gone out, I had the shipping package with everything included.   I thought, surely I am not the only one this has ever happened to, there must be a repair kit in here.  There wasn't.  So, I enjoyed the workouts for a week but it really was no value for me after waiting so long to receive it in the first place.

I started using this product in my fitness class this year.   I hate anything to do with physical activity - but this, I actually enjoyed.   When you first start it, your balance is so horrible that its a blast just trying to stay ON the ball.  And once you get your balance, you have to figure out the moves.  The guy who does the video gets funnier every time you watch the videos because you know what he's going to say.  The others in my class have even started saying it with him.  So... try it.  I think its good for anyone who wants to just stay healthy.  You make it as difficult as you want and I really have seen a benefit.

Finally, A work out I can stick to. I ordered the core last month. The work outs are a little slow paced so i do more while Gunther runs his mouth. I am able to do 100 sit ups on the ball a day After a week.  I would recommend buying the entire set verses the promotion. I'm waiting on the next DVD to arrive. I have seen results in my clothes within a week to my waist and stomach.. not much on the scale.. but thats ok. The meal planner is not a winner either. Not to discourage anyone.. I still give it 4 stars.

I purchased Core Secrets from a sports fitness store, for $39.99. I got the ball, a pump and 2 DVDs: Fundamentals and 25-Minute Full Body Workout/Accelerated Core Training. The ball seems to be good quality. I had to buy a smaller one since I'm shorter, and it does not compare in thickness. I tried all three DVDs. Fundamentals just explains each move with Brooke demonstrating every move. The 25-Minute workout is very easy, so I did it once. The Accelerated is not so accelerated: some exercises are easy and Gunnar does talk too much in between exercises. I use this time to do more of the next exercise, so I get more reps in. I do sweat quite a bit when working out to the Accelerated DVD. With one of the stomach exercises, I found that if I keep the ball higher on my back, I get more resistance. I believe it's best to have a live trainer help out with fitness ball exercises, so he can help you do them correctly (while Gunnar has no idea what you're doing wrong) and can make you do more reps (to failure). The program is a good introduction to fitness ball workouts, and I plan to take some of the exercises to the gym and include them in my normal workout. I doubt I'll buy another DVD by Gunnar, unless he replaces his long explanations with more exercises. If I had back problems, I'd never try any fitness ball workout without a certified trainer at my side.

I ordered the Core Secrets work out DVD's and started then about a week ago and I must say I really enjoy it! I got the package that had  the Fundamentals and the Give me 20. After trying out the Give me 20 video I knew I was going to need more of the videos. The Give me 20 was great and went by so fast compared to other workouts I watched the clock waiting for it to end. By the next day I had already purchase 3 additional videos off of 2 different web sites. If you where to wait untill Core Secrets sent you the automatic shipments it would have taken too long and I would have already been bored waiting and plus the cost it higher that the other sites I purchased from. About 5 days later I received the AB Assult and the Bun Blaster. After only doing them once I can really tell that I worked areas I haven't worked in such a  long time such as the muscels in your stomach that you use when you sneeze, man does it hurt to sneeze! I completly recommend Core Secrets, you just have to follow everything correctly and definitely get more videos!

This product seemed so promising on the infomercial but I must say that for me it wasn't. I stuck with it for about 3 months and didn't really see much results. The workouts aren't very challenging and it is quite boring. Gunnar does too much talking.

Great Product.  Love exercising on the ball.  Makes working out more fun!  Love the ab assault video.  My favorite.  Mix the workouts since there is a great variety.  You must learn to target certain muscle groups & use the correct form to get a good workout.  If not, you will not feel a thing.  It took a couple of workouts to figure this out.  Very satified customer!

I have been using Core Secrets for two months now, along with using a treadmill and doing step aerobics. I am quite unsatisfied with it. The first month I lost an inch in my bust, waist, and hips, but only lost one pound. The second month, although I haven't kept on schedule, didn't have good results. I am not very fond of Gunnar and all the talking he does.  And I don't think the exercise isn't very fun either. The more and more I do it the more I hate it. I will continue to work with it only because I want to lose weight. It may be great for some, but in my eyes it isn't. So for those of you who enjoy it and are getting good results congratulations.

I Love it! I've been working out with Gunnar for 4 weeks now and have nearly reach the goal I set for myself that I assumed would take about 3 months. I saw results in one week by two weeks I was feeling GREAT about myself and even now I still look forward to my workout every day. I got the kit that included fundamentals/give me 20 and full body workout/accelerated core traing. I only really do the accelerated. For an end of the day work-out in addition to my morning workout I may do one of the shorter workouts.  If you need to challenge yourself more start doing the exercise as he is demo-ing it. If you are looking to tone up and SEE the results I reccomend this system.

I must have seen this infomercial at least 10+ times before I went out and brought this. This really works. You just need to work hard at it. Even if you're sore, make sure you keep at it, you WILL see results. I wasn't fat to begin with at all, I just simply wanted to have tighter abs. This definitely did the trick. Gunnar is great in giving instructions when you watch the DVD. However, the reps are just not enough. Gunnar just has you do around 10 of each set, which will do nothing for you after you're used to it. During the first week or so, his 10 rep sets do indeed work as I felt the burn after the workout. But for this to continue to work, you just need to do more reps. Right now I do up to 25-35 reps before I follow along with him to the next exercise. I highly recommend it to people who are really thinking about giving this a shot. Also, when I watch TV (I'm a sucker for any shows during primetime tv), I'm always bouncing on the ball. Don't sit on the couch. I usually watch two hours of television every night and I just bounce away on the ball. It made my abs extremely sore, but I don't regret it one bit.

I recently started using the Core Secrets bu Gunar, and it was so much fun! For all those people who claim they dont get a workout my answer to you is simply (do the workouts right)! That's the only reason I could see this program NOT working for you. The first time I used the ab assault video the next day my stomach was nothing but sore. It hurt like hell to sit down and stand up. My favorite video would have to be the bun battle...I sweat like a monkey  when I use this, and the routine works my leg muscles very well. The only con I would say to this program is the short length of the video, for me I usually find myself doing two videos back to back to feel satisfied (maybe three when I really feel up to it).The ball is amazing and this is a product I think I well invested in. Recommend it to anyone.

11 Aug 2005 - Rich of California, USA writes:

My girlfriend and I picked up the TV Offer set and have been using it for about a week now.  I'm maybe 10 heavier than I want to be, but I really bought them to tighten things up.  The first Accelerated work out left me sore the next morning.. mostly in the abs and legs.  The second evening I increased the weights and found a more balanced soreness across my upper and lower body.  I do have to criticize a few of the other reviews saything that it does nothing for you.  First of all, proper form is the key.  If you slack in your form, you won't get nearly the workout that you are looking for.  You really do need to focus on using the appropriate muscle group for each excercise.  My girlfriend was guilty of this the first 2 nights.  Last night we worked on her form and she's paying the price this morning.  Secondly, the proper inflation of the ball is important.  If you inflate it too much, for your body height, you won't be using all the stabilization muscles that Gunnar refer's to in the video.  The same goes for underinflation.   There are some of the workouts that, althought he doesn't use weights, can be used with weights to increase the resistance.  I would recommend Core Secrets but I would also emphasise, as with virtually any workout video/session, proper form.  This keeps you from injuring yourself and isolates the appropriate muscle groups for each workout.   The videos aren't going to make you more fit.. you're going to make yourself more fit.. Core Secrets is just the tool.  As Gunnar says in one of the videos.. "don't phone these in people"..  Do the exercise and you'll get the results.. Enjoy!

This workout is just the best!  I've had mine since the first of March and I'm still looking forward to it 5 months later. It's fun, it's challenging and Gunnar and his team do a great job of leading you through each of the exercises. The first time I do a workout I usually have to keep going back until I get it but Gunnar is so easy to follow that there was almost none of that. The workouts have really strenghtened my core and my arms, which were the areas where I needed it the most. My favorite DVDs are Full Body Challenge, Ab Assualt and Bun Buster. I've recommended Core Secrets to all of my family and friends that are interested in their physical fitness.   I recommend it to anyone who wants positive results and a workout that is enjoyable too.

21 Jul 2005 - Ashley of Virginia, USA writes:

I fell in love with the infomercial, but probably just because Brooke Burke is my absolute fitness body gorgeous roll model. Anyway, I liked the DVDs at first, and I was doing them regularly. Frankly, I didn't see much result, maybe just a pound or 2 lost. I always got the stupid background songs stuck in my head (and let me tell you, those songs are lame). The whole set is incredibly boring and mundane. It's hard to stay motivated with this one, it's very calm and doesn't make you sweat. It's supposed to be a "core" work out, but I must say that being on the ball didn't help my core. What results I did see were in my upper legs and arms. I wouldn't recomend this product. Plus you have to have space to store that big ball, or else you'll have to start blowing it up like 4 hours before you work out! My cat busted mine though... Anyway, it's a no go with this product!
