NOT for the Vertically Challenged

16 Jul 2008 - Laura of KY, USA writes:

OH my! Yes this is easy to put together and all that, but this is NOT for short people at all. I am 5'3" and was too short to do ANY of the exercises properly, all it did was hurt.

great workout

29 May 2008 - jackie of louisiana, usa writes:

I purchased this product 2 yrs ago after seeing infomercial on tv. After a quick and easy set up, I was, and still am, pleasantly pleased. The only complaint I have is that I'm short and have trouble positioning myself for some of the exercises. No problems at all with the leg or back workouts. Other than this, I love it and recommend it to others!!!

Only for Beginners

30 Mar 2008 - Amber of New York, USA writes:

This product if definitely for beginners, I was not pleases with it at all, It was not easy to put together, It took two people and about an hour and a half. When It came to working out with it, I did not like the video, way to low paste for me. I did it for about a week, and now its setting in y closet, and I will never use it again. I did not feel in my legs when I did it, nor my abs, (the ab part is totally pointless, ) I did feel it in my arms, but that’s it. When I woke up the next mornings I was hoping to feel sore, but I did not have no kind of pain.(And im the kind of person that wants to feel pain when I workout, because I know it is working.) I got it off of [] for about $30.00. And it was the biggest waster of money ever. But then again, I am not a beginner.

Not good for me

2 Mar 2008 - linh of Illinois, USA writes:

For the most part, it did do that when you actually use it. My problem turned out to be that I'm five feet tall. I'm too short for this product. I couldn't position myself properly in it to fit the workouts. When I placed myself where I was supposed to be, I'd slide. Trying to hold on to stay in position did not work out well because the grips were to far for me maintain. If you're tall enough, I'm sure this can work with committment to the workouts. I did feel the workouts I did manage to do. But It's not for me and returned it.

It is worth it.

1 Feb 2008 - Kaylee of New York, USA writes:

I purchased this product [] from a person who obviously didn't know what they were doing. Once I started putting it together I realized why she sold it. She put the bars on backwards. Once I dismantled her mess and constructed the machine, which I only paid $40.00 incl. shipping for, I fell in love. I really like how I can work every part of my body. It only came with 2 bands and they were not the same weight resistance so I am going to have to buy more bands but other than that I like this product. My arms felt sore the next day. The only problem I had was when I tried to do the pushups I did not put the resistance bands on and I fell straight to the floor and landed on my wrists. Not a good feeling especially since I have carpul tunnel. So I don't think that it is a construction flaw, its just that you are supposed to control your movements against the resistance of your own body weight and I went to far trying to extend my arms. I can see how this could happen if someone got over zealous with their leg workout. Other than that you can't get much better than this for this price unless you buy a thigh master. Remember those! LOL. I hope this helps.

Not bad....

9 Jan 2008 - Katrina of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada writes:

Hi guys, I bought my easy shaper off the shopping network. I havent really got into using it yet however I had to quickly say that after putting it together and tried it out, I heard the clicking noise and then the leg bar fell right down. I was sooo disappointed...but then after looking at it, I realized that I had it hooked up incorrectly which I think some other ladies did as well. Once I fixed it, it never happened. So just inspect the way you install the leg bar, there is a wrong way which may seem like the right way...but its not..haha confusing I know. Ill check my machine and try to explain to you in another post what im talking about...just thought I would let you know. Cheers! Katrina

Really Nice

2 Nov 2007 - Rachel of Florida, USA writes:

I recieved this from my mom as a present last December.I couldn't stick to it.But I picked it back up 3 weeks ago(Oct '07) and I have already noticed a difference!I like the DVD included because Kim is motivateing and easy to understand what she is instructing.I like how it's for and by women! But I (like others) dont like/understand the ab work out.Other than that, the Easy Shaper is really fun and a great product (my mom got it for me for 20 bucks at a department store,so very much worth the price!)

Gave it a shot......

12 Aug 2007 - Anonymous of Kentucky, USA writes:

This is not made for short people. I am 5'3" and I found it very hard to position myself comfortably and correctly. Not only that, but it really did not seem to do much....but then again, maybe it was just because I could not position myself properly.

An O.K. Machine

7 Jul 2007 - Karen of Ontario, Canada writes:

I am a mother to 2 children, I bought this machine to shape up after my first child. I personally find that this machine is not built for tall people for I am 5"9 and find a little awkward to workout with.

Still working!

16 Sep 2006 - Sandi of Rhode Island, USA writes:

I have been using the EASY SHAPER for a year now... I began using it last fall and a year later I am 60 pounds lighter and 36 inches smaller! This is a fabulous workout... a sure-fire way to tighten and tone as you lose weight! I had taken the last six months off due to walking and yoga, but went right back to it so I could tighten up again! (its been only two weeks and I am back to where I was!)

So far so good.

31 May 2006 - Lyndsay of Florida, USA writes:

I purchased the Easy Shaper in February of 2006 to tone up and lose a little weight for my brothers wedding and the bridesmaid dress I was to wear never looked better on me. Assembley wasn't that hard, and the DVD is a god sent. The key to this piece of equipment is to take your time and make sure you're doing all the exercises properly... I also found listen to music that is at about 140 beats per minute helps with keeping Tempo for the exercises. THe only complaint I do have is that i've had to change up the routine to keep it from becoming boring, but other than that it actually works.

Its great

24 Mar 2006 - Kim of Maryland, USA writes:

I have had my easyhaper for 3 weeks. The second day of use I was so sore. I could barely walk down the stairs. This was surprising I have been exercising non-stop for over a year. My arms were not sore but I could tell they had a good work out. I could not complete all of the exercises on the DVD. I am over the 250 pound weight limit but its still working for me. I am 5'4" tall. It gives me a good work I even break a little sweat. The only thing I don't like is that I have to lay flat on the floor for some exercises. I suffer with daily migranes and it hurts to lay straight on my back. I put a pillow or blanket under my head and keep going.

Forgot to say...

18 Mar 2006 - Lee of Florida, USA writes:

UPDATE: In my review I forgot two things...first, I am 5'10 and had no trouble at all with the machine. 2nd...I purchased though a popular department store rather than by TV.

Surprised

18 Mar 2006 - Lee of Florida, USA writes:

I was not too sure about trying the Easy Shaper so I came to this site and read many of the reviews, pro and con. I decided to try it and was pleasantly surprised. Putting it together does take some concentration but I wouldn't say it is difficult. Took me about 40 minutes. Reviewers on here complain about the DVD. I don't understand why. The DVD has two workouts and is easy to follow and is motivating. I also found the ab workout in the 2nd workout to be quite challenging, not like I had read here. I got quite a nice workout and plan to continue with this piece of equipment. So far, I feel satisfied.

so far so good

12 Feb 2006 - Debbie of Nebraska, USA writes:

I purchased mine at a super low price and am very happy with it, especially due to the price I paid. It came with the manual, excersice guide, and DVD. I work out on a regular bases, but go to the gym, so wanted something at home. So far so good, I can feel the work out in my legs, my back, my arms, but it does lack the ability to work out your abs. I'm 5'5", and I assembled it, no problems, it's easy to follow, plus the machine parts have numbers that you match with each other. Put the 3 with the 3, the 4 with the 4. You do have to get use to not sliding around, but again, easy and once you figure out that you are suppose to squeeze your stomach in, and tighten muscles to feel the burn, it works great.

OOPS!

11 Feb 2006 - Day of California, USA writes:

UPDATE: Sorry about the previous post. I think the other lady may have made the same mistake I did. I didn't put the leg rod where is was supposed to go. Instead of putting it on the inside I had put it on the outside. That is why it kept coming aloose. My boyfriend took one look at it and fixed it immediately! I love this machine, well worth the money!! Especially since I bought it at [] for $65.00! Try it, I think you'll really like it!

Was Great Until...

11 Feb 2006 - Day of California, USA writes:

I bought the Easy Shaper in late Nov. of 05. I didn't actually assemble and use it until Feb. 06. It was easy to put together, and even lasted throughout the leg excersises. But I did notice a clicking and I checked everything and didn't notice anything. When I attempted the back excersises, I too had the same problem as one of the previous posts. The leg bar dropped right to the ground! I was shocked and caught completely off gard. I didn't get hurt, but it was very disappointing. The spring loaded pins are too short, causing the leg bar to come aloose. I would have absolutely loved this product had it not been for that! Now I have to return it, because I cannot use it.

I've had this product for almost a week. It was fairly easy to put together...and, I love it! I can really feel the workout in my legs, backside and arms. The DVD gives you a great workout in a little over 30 min. I'm 5'8" and I have no issues with this product. LOVE IT!!

19 Jan 2006 - Carol of Ohio, USA writes:

After seeing the TV commercials, I found the Easy Shaper product at a local store for a lesser cost than buying it from the TV or website. I was especially excited about this machine because of its compact design and even smaller dimensions upon folding for storage. The store was selling the type with the maroon colored cushion. I have not found a serial number. It was easier than I expected to put together; less than 30 minutes. The box included the 3 manuals: owner's manual; exercises and nutrition guide; and menu plan. I was also pleased with the 2-part exercise DVD with a woman named Kim Parmater. As I happily began following along with the workout, the leg bar collapsed to the floor while I had both my hands on it. I slammed to the floor head first and shocked my neck. I carefully inspected the spring loaded pins that attach the link bar to the leg bar. After double checking the attachment, I tested the machine by pushing on the leg bar with my hands without putting my body weight onto it. Again it collapsed. Upon my inspections, it was quite clear that the machine was manufactured with spring loaded pins that were cut too short to fit through the holes of the leg bar and make a proper connection with the link bar. Without this proper connection you cannot use the machine. Now I must haul this unit back to the store. This Easy Shaper turned out to be a great disappointment after I had initially been so excited about finally having a reasonably priced, compact, workout unit for the legs, abs, and arms. At least, by buying it at a local store I do not have to pay shipping costs. Are the units shipped to stores the ones from a lower quality batch?
