I just got the fluidity barre and the three dvds (beg. int. & adv.) today along with the ball, band and pump. I teach fitness, strength training, am a personal training expert and take ballet. First of all, this equipment is WELL BUILT! It's easy to set up and stow away and (even though it does shift a bit) it IS STABLE enough to rest and lean on in many different positions without injury. As I said earlier, I teach about 6 hrs/week and dance 3 hrs/ wk. I'm in pretty good shape for a 48 yr young woman :) I am happy oh SO happy I got this!!! The beginning workout was only 30 minutes and (reminded me a bit of my own teaching!) except it's WAY HARDER to do a workout when someone ELSE is teaching it! So far I've only done the beginning dvd. I feel it, in a good way. The exercise instruction is good not great in terms of proper positioning; that's probably my only criticism of the dvd's so far. However being that the body is my job and what i know; i am finding my way into proper position because of that (what i know). Even so, this is totally awesome. I recommend it and how! :)

I just used Fluidity for the first time. My lord does this thing work your muscles!! Ones you don't usually use much and ones that, without expert direction, you don't quite know how to target on your own. I am so, so sore, but in a good way. I really enjoyed the workout and am sure I will stick with this. Will update you again!

I just got my fluidity bar today and did my first exercise. It was definately tough but it was so nice that it didn't drag on for a full hour. I definately plan to keep using this product however I will be on the beginner video for quite some time! I am getting married in September and hoping to have a new body by then!

UPDATE: Well, it's been almost a month now of using the fluidity bar and I am just enjoying it every time. I must be a slow learner because I'm still using the beginner as I have not conquered the back to the mat and lifting the legs ... maybe I will go ahead and try the intermediate regardless, but that is a really hard move for me. I will say that I can tell a difference in my posture. I walk with my back straight now and sit erect. I can also feel toning ... my arms are my trouble, so I'm hoping they will shrink and tone soon ... before summer!! But, I still promote this program because it is amazing. Michelle is so great at pointing out each level and explaining the position. LOVE IT!!!

I am 32 years old. I have been a gym rat since I was 16 years old. For the longest time weights and stationary machines were my only options. I tried Fluidity due to a Pilates instructor at my gym moving out of the area. I have had the Fluidity bar now for 3 weeks, and the burn is so overwhelming(Good) after a set of 10-12 reps, you instantly feel a difference. By the stretching techniques in between sets, you are not a robot walking after the workout. If you are a lover of Pilates, this is a great workout to marry into your routine. There are some great movements that you could never do without the bar to engage muscles from toes up to the back. Fluidity is a gentle, but powerful workout.

This is by far the best type of workout if you want to see the most results in the shortest amount of time. I have a bad back and after one workout I can feel how much tighter my lower back is. You will have a hard time sitting down the next day! I have used The Bar Method dvds with my fluidity bar as well to change it up from time to time and that is an excellent workout as well. That Dvd shows some of the instructors doing the exercises with a chair in place of a ballet bar but once I got my Fluidity bar there is no comparison! The bar is essential to holding yourself in the proper position. Prepare yourself to work muscles you never knew you had! My husband keeps trying to recruit me to his lifting routine in the garage...I keep telling him to try the fluidity bar, he does not realize how hard it really is!

I'm in my mid 30's I've been going to the gym for a few years now & needed to take a break from the usual dumbbells and cable machines. I was considering getting into pilates classes as I've taken a few in the past and seen people get great results. However, Pilates classes are NOT cheap and you have to find one that fits your schedule..as a mom and FT worker - thats hard to do. So I ordered my Fluidity bar.I AM AMAZED LADIES!!! I've engaged muscles I didnt know I had - & I did so using just the beginners video. I could not believe the great workout I got. The next day I had that same tight, wobbly, good achy feeling in my seat, legs and abs - that I had previously got from working out in the gym!!!! Let me add that before I ordered this I researched it via the web trying to find negative feedback on it (i'm a savy shopper) and guess what? I couldnt find anything other that..for some people its a bit difficult. But I think all excercises can be a lil difficult until you get the hang of it. Some of the movements are a lil tough for me and I consider myself an experienced gym goer - but I just stopped the dvd, backed it up, reviewed it again until I get it right. I also want to note the quality of the product. On a scale from 1-5, 5 being the highest...I give it a 5. It is strong, sturdy and put together VERY well. I do wish it was a lil cheaper...I paid $270 with shipping. I think $225 with shipping is more fair, but nonetheless I highly reccomend this product!!!

I purchased the Fluidity bar over a month ago. I am a physically active 50 year old. I run, roller blade, walk, do yoga and bike. What I am not is a dancer. According to their informercial that was not a requirement. And even though being a dancer is not required, she uses "dancer" terms such as "position 4" and other ballet terms and she assumes you know what to do immediately. I have diligently used Fluidity 2-3 times per week and completed the beginner and intermediate DVDs. There are some stretches that I feel should have been given additional information on how to do the stretches, especially the ones with your back up against the bar cushion and you lift your legs. I feel that the DVDs were not well planned. Each DVD shows a beginner, intermediate and expert trainer. Unfortunately, when the camera pans to one of them, the other two are not visible. I would have appreciated cameras on each individual trainer showing their exact body placement and movements at all times. Michelle tends to assume that you know exactly what she is doing and where her body is at the bar. I feel that she should have explained where you should be in relationship to the bar. An example would be when you are using the resistance bands. If you cannot see your television set at all times, the DVDs are useless because Michelle occasionally forgets to tell you that she changed legs. The bar does tend to move on a few of the stretches. I may be only 125 pounds, but I can feel the bar moving around. As of today, I have not seen any improvements to my body that everybody else seems to have experienced. I think I'll stick with my treadmill and free weights until winter is over and write this equipment off as an expensive gym membership.

I just started working out recently, and the first 4 days, I just did 30 minutes on the elliptical machine, then the fluidity came in on The 5th day and I did it two days in a row, It is a good workout, So I'm on Week three, and have done fluidity about 8 times overall, and I do feel more Flexible, can't see much of a difference in my body, maybe just a TINY TINY slight change. Its always been difficult for me to keep weight off, this is my 3rd time rebounding and gaining more than I've lost, so i'm hoping this will be a change i can keep up with. I have LUV HANDLES.. hehe, and i can't wait to get rid of them. I'm trying to do 30 minutes on the elliptical for cardio every lunchtime then fluidity at home. I've been doing the intermediate mainly and rotate dvd's to my mood. I'm hoping for the best, but certainly feel that fluidity is a good workout, I want that nice body. will repost when i hit 8 weeks. :)... I'm trying to stay motivated when other women say "just stick with it, don't give up,"... thanks you for that encouragement to all those women. haze

I purchased the fluidity system in November of 2007. So far I worked out 3-4 times a week. I started with the beginner workout but switched to the intermediate workout within two weeks to increase the intensity. I am 25 years old, but never really worked out as much. I am a little overweight and need a lot of toning around the thighs and the seat, so this workout is perfect. I think it is pretty challenging, it definately looks easier than it is. I recommend to watch the dvd first before working out. After roughly two weeks I started seeing results. My seat lifted a little and my thighs seemed to be leaner than before, not much, but enough to see it. So far I lost 10 pounds and can definately say that I got leaner, stronger, and my posture has improved. I am still working out to the intermediate dvd. The advance workout is still too challenging for me. I am very happy. It takes a little time to see strong results but I definately do not regret buying the bar. Although the prize for shipping was outrageous!

I've had my fluidity bar for about a year now and when I use regularly :)) I absolutely notice a difference in my flexibility, the way I feel overall and muscle tone. This workout is hard! But in a strange way, it's really calming. I have no lower back problems with I use this equipment. That alone is worth the effort.

Wow!! I need to share my excitement about this program. I've tried many things in the past, but the Fluidity Bar is fantastic. It was a bit heavy and quite large, but once I took it out of the box, it wasn't that difficult to locate to our bedroom and assemble. The assembly was very simple, the bar is solid and the frame is sturdy. The mat is perfect and we have a burber rug, so it doesn't slide at all. Now ... I am a mom of two young ones and have not exercised routinely in about two years ... so, I am on the beginner and in my second week. What I found to be useful was to read the little booklet before doing anything ... that helped tremendously. Also, she is great at reminding you about form and just terrific about explaining what you should feel so you can keep track of your form. It is true that little movements work and our own body weight truly works. I haven't been able to be successful with two of the methods, but once I am able to get them, I'll move to the intermediate. Just keep working at it ... you'll get it!!! If you quit, then you'll never know what you could've accomplished ... I feel a difference already. So if you are looking at this as an investment, my opinion is go for it!! It's totally worth the investment!!!

I use my fluidity bar for strength, flexibility, and balance training. I've even incorporated it into my Pilates routines. It allows me to do everything a bulky, expensive home gym does and more at a fraction of the cost and space. I think just about anyone can make excellent use of it, from beginners to intense strength trainers. It can be used for both simple and easy strength training and stretching as well as some pretty tough exercises and everything in between. I'm also very impressed with its construction and design. It is a very solid unit but takes up very little space even when in use and next to no space when folded up. It only takes me about a minute to fold it up and put it away or take it out and set it up. Shipping was also very prompt. I received it exactly 1 week from the day I ordered it.

I received my fluidity bar Monday. I was so excited that I put it together right away! I'm not understanding why people are having a hard time putting this bar together. All you have to do is pull it up and lock it into place. (directions are in the manual) Anyway, I started out with the beginner dvd, because I wasn't sure what to expect. It seemed a little difficult, but not as challenging as I wanted. So the next day, I popped in the intermediate dvd...WOW!!! My legs were shaking, and I was working up a sweat! I have used this work out for three days, and I can feel my body tightening up already! I love it! I recommend it to everyone!! As far as people not being sure of the moves, if you open your manual, it goes over how to do some of the major moves. Just practice your form before you start the workouts!! The nutrition manual is not very informative in my opinion though..., but, this is probably the most challenging work out I have ever done!! I plan on doing it at least 5 days a week. I will repost in a few weeks about my progress!!

I've been using the bar for about 5 weeks now and I absolutely love it. It's very sturdy and put together well and so easy to slide it under the guest bed. It is a bit heavy to carry..but I just look at that as an extra workout. I have joined health clubs, done weight lifting, pilates, aerobics and to be trueful nothing has measured up to the influidity bar. With having a bad back and arthiritis in my one ankle..I have found more pain than results with others..but I'm finding no problems with this. I do modify my workouts...which is great about the video...since theres 3 people to watch. For some I do the advanced, some the intermediate and for some I find following the beginner...but as I said that's what's great about the DVD....it's so easy to do each exercise in the way you feel most comfortable doing. Strongly recommend this bar to anyone who wants a good workout. I feel more muscles worked in my legs than I ever did weightlifting.

I bought this Dec 2006 and love it, even though I only use a couple of times a week. I've been doing aerobics for 18 years and after 2 knee surgeries this is great. I'm tyring to lose 20lbs and tone up (using more frequently now). I'm looking for more Fluidity dvds other than the ones that come with the bar. My box was not damaged, easy set up, and the bar is very sturdy and stable, no mat issues either. I think Michelle is easy to follow (I mostly use the advanced). I can now do all 15 pull-ups, yeah! I love the line I'm getting in my inner thighs. I'm more flexible from the stretching after working each bodypart. Of course my favorite part is the stretching at the end. I'm an infomercial fitness junkie and I can say this is better than all the workout infomercial stuff you currently see running now; even the ones with the celebrities on the balls, workouts wtih weights from the southern ladies, cardio workouts with hip-hop music, the boxing guy, and even that shapely secret (deep breathing) you name I've bought and this is the best!

I requested the Fluidity Bar for Christmas and have been using it 3-4 times weekly since then. **As a side note I should mention, I also do Tae Bo 3-4 times a week as well and since receiving the Fluidity Bar and clearing my house of Christmas leftovers I've kept myself to a moderate diet. (ie I allow myself to cheat once or twice a week.)** Anyways, before Fluidity I lost 50 lbs through cardio, but never really toned up. Since using the Fluidity Bar, for just under a month, my b/f has already noted a lift in my tush and deinition in my legs and arms. I've only lost 5lbs (mostly Christmas weight) since starting, but my body overall is reshaping, so you have to remember muscle weighs more than fat. It totally delivers it's promises. The package was damaged, but the contents were fine. The set up was totally confusing at first, but when I actually read the book it was simple. Also, the moves can be difficult at first because there are many steps just to get into position, so I would suggest watching the video a few times before attempting to follow it. Once you learn the moves it's very important to maintain the correct position for effectiveness, but Michelle is helpful because she makes you reset your position so often. After that the moves are relatively easy, atleast I think so. I've yet to move to advanced, because intermediate is still challenging to me. My only complaints are 1 the bar is heavy (but well constructed) 2 it's difficult to store it if you live in small quarters and 3 the included 'diet guide' kind of sucks, perhaps it's useful to those who have no knowledge of nutrition, but after reading thousands of diet books it offered nothing new for me.

My hubby got the fludity for me for xmas. I started using it three weeks ago. So far, I've noticed my but has lifted. I have about 50lbs to lose so I have to supplement workouts with aerobics. I like the Fluidity workout, it's challenging (i'm using begginner DVD)but by week three, I'm already getting thru most of the moves, and I feel myself stronger. I've even noticed that it has helped me with endurance in my evening workouts. The bar itself is easy to set up, made of sturdy materials. I can see myself using this for a long time. Will try to give updates.

I purchased the Fluidity bar workout system in January 2007 and have been using it regularly (3-5 times per week) for just over a year now. I really enjoy the workouts, though I mostly use the Intermediate DVD because the length of that workout (about 35 minutes) suits my schedule, and I feel the moves are more challenging than the Beginner DVD (obviously). When I have the time and feel I need a little extra boost, I’ll do the Advanced DVD, which features some very challenging moves. I’ve always been active and in pretty good shape, but I was burned out with my prior exercise routines, and wanted something new and different and this fit the bill perfectly. (Side note: I HATE aerobics-style workouts, with all the jumping around and silly moves, so if these aren’t your cup of tea either, you may want to consider the Fluidity system). The Fluidity workout routines become pretty easy to memorize, especially if you do them regularly. Sometimes I’ll just set up the bar (which is fairly easy to do – I’m not sure why some people seem to find this confusing or difficult) and put in a CD, which keeps the workouts from becoming too monotonous. Also, I find the Fluidity moves really do help sculpt the glutes, and my quadriceps are better defined now than when I was an avid runner. I feel I’m more conscious of my posture, too. The abdominal portion of each Fluidity workout is fairly short, but intense and effective if you use proper form. Michelle Austin’s cuing is great, and she’ll often remind you to “pull your navel to your spine,” which is good because when you’re concentrating on one movement, it’s easy to let the abs go, but keeping them pulled in really is key for proper execution and for maximum results. I’d recommend this to anyone who is tired of the same-old, same-old, who enjoys ballet-inspired workouts and who wants to tone and lengthen their muscles and overall body.

I purchased this product awhile back but have just now been able to use it. My box was badly damaged as well. Although set up looks difficult, it is easy. My bar is not solid as shown on the infomercial. In fact, it is quite precarious and the mat slides all over the place. Unfortunately Michelle Austin is so familiar with the exercises, it is difficult to follow her because she talks quite fast and the movements are so subtle, it's hard to see exactly which direction they are going. In seeing the infomercial, I really didn't think I would have any trouble with the exercises but be cautioned - even the beginner needs to be modified. The whole thing is VERY disappointing for me and I would return it but it's too late since I didn't get to it until now. I would NOT recommend this for anyone wanting to get in shape - you need to be well on your way before attempting it. Even at that, I would find another bar, this one is very flimsy.
