Wow! I want to thank you for this product. The How to CD was easy and complete. I have never put an exercise machine together before. It was a piece of low calorie cake. I had a broken back over a year ago. Exercise is hard for this body. Not with the Gazelle. No jarring, no tearing, and no whine. Also I live in an area that is so hot three months out of the year. Exercise like walking gets pushed back. Now I have the Gazelle and I will be able to exercise even in August. I hope this summer the only melting I do will be in inches. Love this product.

I would just like too say that if you put on music and you have rhythm and balance.  This is the machine. I do all the above, plus have a membership at the gym and own various home equipment including the eliptical machine and i am sore in my shoulders, arms, buns, legs and i love that feeling.  I have noticed ab definition.  You have too work the machine, i found that i don't lock out my knees and just bend ever so slightly and that helps alot even for some resistance.  I have been working out for years and i have had this machine for a few months and i am very very pleased.

I purchased one late in 2002 and replaced my long loved Tunturri bike with it, at the request of my wife and daughter.  I KNEW I'd end up being the only one using it, but they insisted otherwise at the time.  I accent my free-weight training with cardio and it's fine in that capacity.  It's held up well, only needing an ocassional shot of WD-40 to stop the squeaks. Like anything else, if you use it, it will help.  Machines don't workout, people do.

I bought the Gazelle Elite and received it about 1 week after puchase. I started working out every day and doing at least 1 mile or 20 minutes, sometimes more. Well, its been 4 weeks now and I have done it at least 6 days each week and at this point I have yet to see any results. I am a little disappointed. I break out in a pretty good sweat and my heart rate is elevated and all. So why no results yet? Why not even a lost pound yet? Just one little pound? My pants aren't looser either. I thought that maybe I was losing fat and gaining muscle...nope, not yet.How the heck long is this going to take? I don't expect a miracle and I know it takes time...but as much as I have been using it I would have thought that I would have noticed even a tiny change by now. Not sure if I am keeping it past the 60 day free trial. If by that time I havent seen even the littlest result its going right back.

I purchased the Gazelle Freestyle Elite (the $415 model)last month.  The overall quality of the construction is excellent. However, the resistance pistons are very disappointing.  In fact, the only reason I paid the extra $200 to have the infomercial model was because it is advertised as having three different levels of resistance for your workouts, in addition to the no resistance position.  This has not turned out to be the case.  The pistons are so tight that it is impossible to do more than a two minute workout in even the beginning position.  When I contacted the 800 number that puts you into contact with their personal trainer, I was told that the resistance pistons are not intended for an aerobic workout!  The personal trainer said the pistons are only intended for very brief periods of "weight training."   This is certainly not what is conveyed in the infomercial.  I then contacted the customer service number on two occasions.  One operator told me the pistons are intended to be very tight and hard, and the other told me that is not the case at all, but rather, for example, the number one position is to only be equal to five pounds of resistance.  This is certainly not the case with my Gazelle.  It is nearly impossible to move the swing pedals in any of the three positions.  When calling UPS to see about shipping the Gazelle back, I learned that the cheapest way to return it will cost me $125. Unfortunately, the Gazelle has not turned out to be a free trial as is repeatedly advertised!  I had no idea it would cost so much to return, but the Gazelle folks certainly know this. UPDATE 7 Feb 2004: I'm happy to report that the return shipping charge for my Gazelle was not nearly as high as UPS had originally told me it would be.  I returned the Gazelle today, utilizing Fed Ex, and the shipping charge was $35.

Great product.  I've owned mine for abouth four months and have gotten amazing results.  I was a marathon runner prior to an injury and wanted something that would give me a good cardio workout.  This product gave me more than I ever expected.  If you follow the tapes and try to maintain the pace he sets, you will get a great overall workout.  The pistons do make a little noise but not annoyingly so.  Also, it will start to squeek, but the squeeks are cured with a little teflon spray I purchased at a bike shop.  Frankly, I cannot say enough good things about the Gazelle.

Received my Gazelle Elite today!!!  First off: What a beautiful product. I read all the reviews on this site, and was convinced that I should get one, as well. I am glad I did. The quality of the machine is outstanding. Very sturdy and safe-looking. It took me about 35 minutes to assemble, and with ease. I tried the machine out for about 5 minutes, and it got my heart rate up. Can't wait to start my workout routine with the Gazelle. I haven't had it long enough to write a full on review of the efficiency of the machine, but I will soon submit an update of the machine's user-friendliness, benefits, etc. From the looks of it though, I believe that I will get in shape if I use the Gazelle on a regular basis. I have a friend who has an earlier model Gazelle, and the Elite is quite an improvement on earlier models. It looks, feels, and is safer, and the resistance hydraulics make a HUGE difference. Make no mistake, the Gazelle Elite is leaps and bounds better than its earlier models. Also, forgot to mention that I assembled it with everything that was provided in the box. If I have any bad remarks about the machine, it is that one of the videos came damaged (crushed). I'm pretty sure that somewhere along the way, the box was dropped or something, BUT the machine is in perfect condition, further evidence that the Gazelle is sturdy. Stay tuned for an update later.

I brought my Gazelle Freestyle Elite a little over a week ago. I love the machine. It is definitely good quality. It is a little heavy to move. It is very sturdy and seems like it could last a lifetime if treated right. I am 5'3" and I put it together by myself. I read the reviews for the Gazelle Freestyle. I don't know if they read these or not but it seems they have tooken several of the complaints into consideration. It has adjustable resistance, sturdy frame, and it is quiet. The only thing is that it is still heavy but I have an idea to remedy that they would have had to sacrifice quality, and I would rather have the quality.

When I opened the box containing my elite I could not believe the quality of the product, most of the time mail orders come with less than expected quality, not the case here! My wife and I use it everyday and love it, the videos are good quality and great music to exercise with. The tension shocks work great and easy to adjust, you get muscle toning and good cardiovascular workouts with this quality product for sure! I think it is well worth the price for how well it is built, it will handle up to 350lbs and is stronger than the regular gazelle, I recommend it 100%.

I purchased a Gazelle elite about a week ago. My wife and myself are very impressed with it. The resistance cylinders really help me get a good quality cardio session in. I wasn't sure what someone meant in another review about it being made better than the earlier models, but I do now, just happen to see a regular gazelle at a local sporting goods store and it looked like a toy compared to the elite, The elite is definitely worth the money, and just like another piece of home equipment, it only works if you use it!

I purchased the Gazelle Elite a couple of weeks ago. We put it together in less than 1 hour without difficulty. It is sturdy and has added resistance that previous models did not have. I am not impressed with the videos. Instructions are at the end of each tape, but during the actual workout I would have expected some additional instruction on form, benefits, etc. Range is motion is great, as advertised. Since I was used to working on an elliptical machine, I had to get used to the motion. It initially bothered my back, but I think it was because I had my legs too straight. Overall good machine, good cardio workout and strength training. Price should drop once it is sold through some other fitness store.

I have had my Gazelle Freestyle Elite  for one week. I must tell you this is a great machine. I used to ride my bicycle for my aerobics. But now with my Gazelle I can get a real good work out with the convenience of having the equipment available right in my house. My daughter in law is an aerobics instructor at the local YMCA and she used it yesterday and could not stop talking about how she loved it!! I have been working out for 30 minutes everyday (two 30 minute sessions). I wanted to show my family what a great machine this is.

Well I looked at the original Freestyle and from the reviews I could tell it wasn't built real sturdy and no resistance turned me off even though I really liked the concept. As soon as I saw the ELITE version I knew I had to have it! Well I've had mine for about 1month 1/2 now and I got to saw WOW! This thing is built like a rock...nice and sturdy and I did have a problem with one of the power piston so I called customer support. Amazingly they sent me a new power piston the next day and I've had no problems since. Man this thing gives me a great cardio workout. I keep it on resistance 1 during the 30 minute workout which I do every day. This thing makes me feel great and I really do see a difference in my bodies' appearance. I'm 6'2 and weight 155ibs and really am starting to see some rippling effect on my body. This machine rocks! I got this and a Total Gym 1000 and love both products but notice I'm usually on the ELITE because it's so much FUN!! Get this one... U won't B disappointed!

I purchased Tony Little's Gazelle Elite in March. Putting the matching together was a little frustrating but didn't take more than an hour. This machine has the added feature of the hydraulic type tension bars that can be placed at three levels for beginner to experienced. It also came with an exercise tape to do with those that takes 12 min. and will definitely let you know who is boss! Hard to do but has great results! My main purpose in buying this machine was for the no impact feature. I have had two back surgeries and permanent nerve damage to my leg. I love this machine! It truly served its purpose for me. In less than 5 weeks I lost 20 lbs and more than 7 inches!! I did notice that I had a hard time getting my heart rate up after the third week so I added strength training to my workouts with 3 and 5 pound weights. Any movement is better than no movement at all. Don't spend your money if you're not going to workout....3 or 4 times a week 20 min. a day. That is all you need and it is worth it!!!

I just received my "ELITE." I could not describe it any better than "ELITE." I been waiting & waiting to buy the right exercise machine and it was worth it. After having my first baby I can't continue going to the gym. The first times it was little hard, but I got the hang if it. The tapes could greatly improve but I am really happy with the purchase I made.

I previously owned the Gazelle Edge and thought that was great. After receiving and using the Gazelle Freestyle Elite, I am speechless. I was injured in April of 2001 and had surgery as a result. I have foot surgery on both feet and cannot stand or walk for more than a couple hours a day but using the Gazelle has made it so easy to get back into shape. I have also noticed that I am improving my leg muscles and gaining strength. After the first three weeks of use, I noticed that I was able to walk and stand for longer periods of time. I think that this is a great alternative to physical therapy because not only do I focus on my feet but my entire body. I would definitely recommend this product to someone that needs no-low impact equipment to work with. My next scheduled surgeries is on both my hands and being able to use the Gazelle without my hands will be no problem. The most important to me about the Gazelle is that it is FUN! (If only this were around 8 yearsago)

I have been watching the informercial for Tony Littles Gazelle Freestyle Elite for months.  I am 62 years old and am really active for my age and I Inline skate 10-20 miles several times a week and commonly go on 30-45 mile bike rides on the weekends, so I am no stranger to exercise.  I bought a Elliptical machine last year for use when the weather was bad, but the quality of the machine was very poor and I decided to look for something else. That is why I finally decided to order the Gazelle Freestyle  Elite model from Fitness Quest. It arrived this week and even though the box looked like it had been dragged to my home instead of being inside the truck, the machine itself was very well wrapped and completely undamaged. It took about 45   minutes to assemble with very clear instructions and all tools provided. They even included extra screws in case you lost  one or more of them. That is very unusual. The quality of the machine is superb and it assembled without any problems at all.  I put on the first tape by Tony Little and managed to do a 30 minute exercise.  Tony does a great job of motivating and the music is good and the machine is FUN!!! to use. I am in love with this machine.  There are so many things that you can do with it, besides cardio, you never get bored.  I was also able to get my heart rate up into the target Zone with no problem and a very low level of perceived exertion. I had just returned from a business trip and while staying at my Hotel ,  I had used a Cross Training machine that sells for about $3500 in their workout room .  I liked the machine, but when I used the Gazelle, I realized that it was more fun than the $3500 machine, more versatile and gave me a workout that was just as good if not better. Tony Little, your machine is "DA Bomb" ( as my grandkids would say). By  the way, I did buy the Freestyle Elite and it is the $400 machine with the shock absorbers, pulse rate monitor and 350 pound weight capacity.  This is a much more rugged machine than the Gazelle Freestyle that sells for around $200.

I have had my Gazelle Freestyle Elite for about 6 months now, and I love it!  If I had to sum up the quality, durability, look, feel, and overall performance of the Gazelle Freestyle Elite in one word, it would have to be "awesome."  My wife and I are big into fitness, but over the last year we seem to have had less and less time to get to the gym, being too busy with work, school, etc.  We had been looking at a piece of equipment to buy for some time, not being happy with any of the ellipticals, steppers, bikes, riders or other gliders that we saw on the market, including the previous models of the Gazelle. I wanted something that was both durable and effective.  Also, I wanted something that was fun to use.  The Gazelle is all three and more.  It is a big, heavy duty machine that can really take a pounding. I am 6' and weigh 220 lbs. and I really get it rockin'.  It was easy to put together, all the tools except a Phillip's head screwdriver being in the box, plus a few extra screws.  It is a great cardio workout, and with the resistance shocks, you can get a total body workout.  I pride myself in having mastered all of the 12 or so movements, swingset being my favorite and cross country and hurdler's sprint being the most effective.  It is really a killer machine.  Mixing up the workout between the different movements is great, you work different parts of the body, and have fun- you never get bored doing the same motion for 30 minutes like on a treadmill or elliptical.   It is so much fun that you get addicted to it and want to ride it everyday.   And it is extremely low impact so your body does not feel like you have been beaten up afterwards.  The Elite is a big improvement over the Edge and the original Freestyle.  I would recommend it to anyone, despite their level of fitness- my dad uses it and he is 66 and has had two heart attacks!  It can really make a difference if you stick to it.  I have dropped about 10 lbs. and my cardiovascular system is in better shape than it has been in a long time.  I have a ton of stamina. I really can't say enough about how great it is.  It also comes with two great instructional videos and a diet plan that can be customized according to your caloric needs.  I love Tony, his kooky style fits into my own philosophy concerning fitness, so I get pumped right along with him.
