I'm a certified group exercise instructor with 17 years of teaching experience. I saw the gliding discs at the IDEA world fitness convention this July and I was hooked! I have been teaching with them as part of the resistance training, abdominal and stretching sections of all my classes for almost 2 months. What I like about them is that in addition to muscular strength, the discs also help the user work on balance and stability throughtout the movement. The movement, and thus the muscle contraction, is really smooth. I also like that exercises with the discs can be modified for a wide range of fitness levels; you create your own resistance based on how hard you press the disc into the floor and how large you make your movement so it could be gentle, moderate, or intense. I'm getting results in my fitness level, my students are giving me positive comments, and my class attendance is up. The discs must be doing something right, LOL! :-)

I have used these discs for about 4 months and it is a great product. I have worked out for 30 years and this has made the most difference. Also, you can pack the discs and DVD easily into your luggage when traveling and do the program with your laptop. What could be better!! Start slowly a few minutes each day and keep adding more time. You will love the results.

I believe this will work for most people, but if you have bad or wek knees I would think twice. I really dose give you a great work out. I wish my knees would of been able to take it...It was fun

I'm a former certified fitness instructor who has been trying to find a variety of home exercise programs to keep me motivated to continue my personal fitness at home. I've found a few videos and pieces of exercise "equipment" that I love. I need something that isn't so strenuous that I hate the thought of facing the workout, but at the same time want something that gives me a good workout. The day after I first used the gliding disks, I had no doubt which muscles had been worked! I no longer have the "reminder" from my muscles the following day, but my body feels great at the end of the workout. I alternate this workout with others that I like and I don't have to talk myself into exercising. All I have to do is remember how good my body feels when I'm done and it motivates me to get to work!
