Snack

26 May 2007 - Tara of New Jersey, USA writes:

I have been trying hard to get into bikini shape. Dieting and exersizing didn't work well (didn't lose much). I am a BIG snacker and kept falling into those habits. I found the Hollywood diet at a store one day and decided to try it. I wasn't going to fast, I don't believe in starving myself.. So I used it as a snack (whenever i felt i needed something sweet). Instead of being 48-hours, it ended up lasting for four days. I ate my three meals a day and although I didn't lose the 10 lbs it says, my energy stayed up and I felt good about how i was loseing weight. I ended up loseing about 6 lbs. I kept it off afterwards by eating smaller portion meals and not eating fattening snacks (fruit instead). I'm staring the second round to lose a little more.

I'm a believer...

22 May 2007 - Melissa of Pennsylvania, USA writes:

I'm on weight watchers currently and was once on LA weight loss. When I first started LA weight loss they had be take a drink very similar. It was called the jump start program and you only followed it for 2 days. When I started Weight watchers I wanted to sorta jump start everything and start fresh. Get the toxin's out. I bought this product in the 24hr version and the 48 hr version. Both versions I have had sucess with. I have dropped between 3-6 pounds depending on which one I used. I like to do this 1-2 times a month just so I keep myself leveled. It really helps with sugar cravings and getting back on track. I recommend it if you are using it for purposes like that. If you want to use this as a main diet, I would not recommend. This is just a cleanse so use it as that.

Not worth it!

21 Feb 2007 - Michelle of Illinois, USA writes:

Are you kidding??!! I tried to do this diet and by 11am my head hurt, I couldn't concentrate and I was running to get food!!!!!! If you want to lose weight get off the coach and go work out. Stop going to fast food places and cook a healthy dinner. That's what I plan on doing, its not worth it. I couldn't be miserable for 2 days, for what once I start eating again it will come back.

I used the 24 hour version ... :)

15 Jan 2007 - Jen of New Jersey, USA writes:

The 24 Hour Hollywood Miracle Diet claims you can lose up to 5 pounds in one day. I lost 4 so I was quite pleased. Often on diets it would take me awhile to lose that and then I'd gain it back sometimes in one evening. I sipped the juice throughout the day, exercised and even had veggie buffalo wings and brown rice in the evening. This may be too much info. but it also is my time of month and most women know there is usually a gain. I also did not get the runs or throw up. I am planning to buy more and use it to replace a couple of dinners this week.

Works great the FIRST time

4 Mar 2006 - Patrice of California, USA writes:

I tried this for the first time a month ago with great results. Lost 6 pounds and kept it off. Have been on a regular exercise program before this (lost 25 pounds in 4 months). Was excited that this brought my weight loss to 31 pounds. Tried it 10 days later, lost 5 pounds, but they came right back the next day. I exercise 6-7x a week and watch what I eat. Did have a headache the 2nd time during my workout that was extremely painful - had to stop working out! I just came off the fast for the 3rd time, having lost the same 5 pounds again. I hope they stay off. But I have a feeling that it works great the first time, but if you follow up again with it too quickly, the weight will come right back even with a controlled diet and exercise program. I'm thinking of trying The Grape Cure diet next.

I used the Hollywood 24-Hour Miracle Diet today and I was surprised that I did not feel hungry at all and my stomach did not growl. I did feel very full and actually felt bloated. The drink is tasty and if you're busy during the day, you don't think about eating but drinking the juice/water. I did get a headache b/c I missed my coffee! Hopefully by morning I will have lost some pounds or this would have been a waste of time!

For starters, the taste isn't great but it is tolerable.   I found it to be effective.  I lost 4 lbs in one 24 hour period (the label said "up to 5 pounds"). This product really should not be called a diet, but a cleanse.  If you have a large amount of toxins built up in your body, you will probably experience head-aches, nausea, and possibly some vomiting in extreme cases.   No, the stuff doesn't taste so bad that it makes you barf -- it's your body evacuating toxins from the crappy food you've been eating.  You should expect that when "doing a cleanse."  I only experienced a moderate head-ache and a few mild stomach cramps, but nothing that incapacitated me. The street price is anywhere from $8.00 - $15.00 depending on where you buy it.  You can make this concoction yourself if you have a juicer, but you won't be able to make it for less money. The bottom line:   If you're going to buy it, be prepared to temporarily change your lifestyle for 24 hours.  No eating...after all it is a fast.  Stay close to a toilet because you *will* be going to the bathroom.  How do you think your body gets rid of anything? As with any other health enhancing product, expect to exercise a moderate amount of discipline if you really want it to work. If you're already eating healthy you probably won't see a significant weight loss, but the cleansing aspect of the product will benefit you.

I tried the product after having had a miscarraige and at 40. I looked pregnant all the time, which was depressing. I have been saying that I was going to start a diet and of course that day never came until I found the Holiwood diet. I really didnt think that it would work. but I started it. In one weekend I lost 12 pounds. No joke. It has encouraged me to take my clothes off my ab machine and do a few chrunches. Everyone at work was amazed and my very sceptical boyfriend even had to admit that I lost weight. Im going to continue to use the product.

19 Nov 2005 - Rhonda of North Carolina, USA writes:

I tried very hard the first day not to eat and drink plenty of water. Unfortunatly, family came in from out of town and went out for dinner - so that didnt work. Next day, I had a glass for breakfast - made it last a while, drank a couple glasses of water and then ended up in a lunch meeting which I was (not forced to eat - but you gotta please the clients!)eating a small lunch. So day 3 rolls along. *(I have only had 2 servings of this stuff) and I notice my pants are loose. I look in the mirror and the tire at my belly is looking flat. (er.. not flat) I am now on Day 6 drinking 1 glass (8 oz) in the morning. Eating a small lunch (still not as much water) and small dinner. I have lost 14 pounds. I also suffer from migraines, however I have had no adverse effects from taking this other than the fact that I cant stick to the directions. I spent 14 bucks on it - lost 14# in 6 days. I am happy. Fact is, people complain because they cant follow directions. Says on the label - youre on a fast here! This stuff will detox your system, and you will be in the restroom at times. I was always told "Drink lots of water" it will fill you up. That is true people! I am not complaining at all because I cant follow directions! I am hungry. Not starving. People having heart problems with this are obviously taking something else with this - there is not anything in this stuff to give anyone any problems other than maybe the shakes from low blood sugar. [] is the cheapest I have seen for this at about 15.00 Good luck to everyone!

This diet works great when used correctly.  You must keep drinking water.  I did get some dizziness, but ate an apple and it went away.   I lost 9 pounds in two days. Hard to stick to - but I will do monthly.

This was the worst product I have ever used.  I felt hungry from the state.  After a few hours I started vomiting it was so bad.  If you have acid reflux do not use this product!  It will make you very sick.

29 Sep 2005 - Liz of Missouri, USA writes:

I have used this product on several occasions, and each time I had an average loss of 5-10 pounds (as the instructions say you will lose).  But you have to follow it to a "T" folks...you can't skip anything or add anything.   And of course you are going to be using the bathroom a lot while on this fast because that is what fasting is about...hello...  This product will not hurt you as it is all natural fruit juice and vitamins.  I found it convenient and less expensive than preparing my own fasting juice.  Especially with the price of fresh fruits today!!!  It is not going to starve or kill anyone to be on this diet.  Some of you whinners are really pathetic!!!  You wouldn't have a clue what it is to be starving!  We fat Americans are not going to die from letting go of some excess water weight.  Try living in a third-world country for just a day and you will know what it is like to have real problems you spoiled babies.  Have a nice day!  Happy fasting to those of you who enjoy this product!

17 Sep 2005 - Alysson of Indiana, USA writes:

First of all, to all of you who are [] learn a little bit about the biology of your bodies.  We are surrounded by environmental poisons all day, every day.  As Americans we consume more processed sugars, artificial colors and preservatives than any other culture on the planet.  Your resultant headaches, nausea and similar symptoms are simply your body reacting to the release of toxins from your blood stream, organs and cells.  This is a NORMAL reaction.  The more unhealthy your daily lifestyle, the more you will suffer from the release of those toxins.   Anyone delusional enough to believe there is such a thing as a "miracle diet" is doomed before he/she ever begins.  If you approach this 48 hour program with the intent to help clean out your system and start moving in the direction of a more healthy, well-balanced lifestyle, you will be on the path to success.  If not, you're sure to be disappointed.  All you really need to understand how and why this product works is a little common sense and a basic understanding of the functions of your body.   It is FRUIT JUICE...not fairy dust!

I have used this product before and I lost 8lbs and I was only doing it for a day and half.  I just started today.  I am so hungry but when I got on the scale, i had already lost 4 lbs and I've only been doing it for 7 hrs so it made me want to continue.  I can't wait to see how much I have lost after 2 days.   Hopefully I can last.  After this diet, I hope to eat better and excercise and do this Hollywood diet every 2 weeks.

I started this juice diet on Friday and today is Tuesday.   I am not following label directions exactly b/c it states to do this for 2 days.   However, I am eating small amounts of fruits and vegetables between juicing to keep myself from "pigging out" right afterwards.  I've lost 9 lbs in 4 days.   I went down one pant size, my shirts button and my chest sticks out much farther than my stomach does now!  I still have over half a bottle of juice and I think I'll be getting a bottle every two weeks and doing the same.  I don't feel weak or tired.   I feel just fine and feel I'm thinning out.  No other pills or "miracle diets" have done for me what this product does! People are noticing my weight loss and it feels good.

24 Jul 2005 - Natalie of New York, USA writes:

I LOVE this diet. I run 6 miles and drink this juice and lose 8-10 pounds in two days.  People say its water weight.  I do it once a week, and almost at my goal.  I don't care what kind of weight it is, if I've lost 50 pounds on it!  I have tried to fast for two dyas on water, and I NEVER lose as much weight as I do with the Hollywood diet.  It is very difficult for me to lose weight and it works for me.  IM going to have to say whoever it didn't work for, wasn't doing it right, or is lying.  ALl you need it some willpower and excersize and there go the pounds.   Highly Recommend this diet for people who REALLY want to lose weight.
