I bought this about two months ago. I use it everyday with the Advanced video. I would recommend using it instead of the Beginner video. I use 3 pound hand weights with it. I have not noticed any real weight loss, but I am not overweight. I have noticed more muscle tone building though. It does sqeek sometimes. The restistance adjuster does move too, but I just tied a shoe lace to it and to the leg, and now it stays put.

I haven't had it long, but I think it does provide a good work out. I was already exercising when I bought this for an at home workout so I bought the power cords for more resistance and it made the workout a little more challenging. I read other reviews about the resistance bar not working well, but you have to unscrew the knob, adjust the resistance and tighten the knob again and I found it didn't slide to the easy resistance anymore.

I bought the LTT over a year ago - The plastic on the base broke almost immediately. I could never adjust the tension easily, and after about a month, couldn't adjust it at all. The movement on the machine was never smooth and it made for an unpleasant work out. I feel, in general, that the unit is just plain cheaply made and not worth the 100 dollars that I paid for it.

I used my lateral thigh trainer extensively, after studying the instructions and videos, and I can't seem to get any increased resistance on it. I end up having to go very fast to get any rise in heartrate, but even with wrist weights on I can't get to even a fat-burning rate, much less aerobic. The slight lateral rotation of the legs, plus having to use fast steps, puts a lot of strain on my knees.

I recently purchased the lateral thigh trainer, the chain broke the first 10 minutes. I am not sure if I adjusted it wrong...cause it happened right after. I am waiting for my replacement, but I do know that it will be effective, i already felt that in 10 minutes. I just may have been over excited. not sure..I still reccomend trying it because it is different than the rest!!!:) thanks

I bought the lateral thigh trainer from where I work and I absolutely LOVE it! I started out at 5 minute increments and then slowly began working my way up. I am now doing 30 minute stints almost twice a day. I lost at least 10lbs and I am still going strong. The only MAJOR downfall to the machine is that the squeaking is annoying. I can't work out late like I like to because the sound is enough to wake the dead. I have exchanged it twice already and after about a week, even the new machine squeaks. If you can tolerate high pitched squeaking and you want to lost weight and tone up, I definetly suggest trying it out!

5 days on and love the convenience of being able to use this compact kit any spare moment. A litle concerned about the chain snapping reports so will get hold of some WD40 soonest, also had slight back pain but maybe need to study the video The computer plastic was damaged on arrival but we find that holding it produces fairly accurate results and is easy to monitor, just keep pupming those arms.

My wife and I purchased the Brenda Dygraf lateral thigh trainer. Almost immediately a very annoying squeak developed. Within the 30 day trial period the chain snapped. I contacted customer service who advised they will sent me a shipping label to return the product, however, they will not ship a new unit until the old unit is received. This means we will be without it for 3 to 4 weeks. It does give a good workout but I think quality parts are lacking.

I have owned mine for just under a month, I use it every day, I have noticed that my stamina is increasing, and its easy to use, I have only managed to get up to 10 minutes so far, but then I dont push my self until I hurt, the little computer thing doesnt work, at times it says its stoped even when I'm moving and it doesnt count the steps acurately, so I pulled it to bits (the computer) I work by counting my steps my self as I do them, I am up to 640 steps, I add 100 extra on a week to slowly build up endurance. the resistance lever is a bit of a pain in the bum, I find I have to put it on fast and then tip it upside down and wiggle the foot pads and it drops into fast no problems.. I got past the sore feet by placing my feet on the foot pads at angles facing out. I have noticed my pants feel looser around my thighs, no noticeable difference with the tape measure thou. however I am on Depo so its an up hill fight to loose weight and tone muscle. over all I like the machine and I like the work out it gives

I have had my LTT for about one month. Looking over the minor problems of small squeaking, and how I have no idea how to work the computer thing, I love it. I can feel it work, and over all, it seems to! I cant seem to feel it in my butt, but my thighs are shrinking! I recommend it! I work for ten solid minutes, and increase it as time flows on. I recommend it!!!

Excellent! I just hate that I don't have the time to train as I should. But from what I see as a result of the little exercise I do, if I was consistent in using this equipment I would definitely be in excellent health. It really does work. I do see strong features in my arms, legs and thighs. Just imagine if I routinely worked out...I'd look awesome!

I purchased the LTT almost 8 months ago. I was stepping about 15 minutes every other day without using the video and it did firm and tone my lower body. In fact my husband saw the results and decided to start using it himself. In fact he used it more than I did. We also got to experience the squeaking noise in the last month and last night in the middle of my husband's set, the chain just snapped and busted. Now I'm looking for a place to order a replacement part and not having much luck. The offical website does not provide much help. I'll respond back if I'm able to get my LTT fixed.

I like the Lateral. I have lost some weight. But I have one complaint. The resistance does not stay on the level I put it at. I don't have a clue how to fix it.

I have had my lateral thigh trainer for about a year now. I bought it because it was a good price and small enough to use anywhere. It's easy to move and very easy to use. It gives you a good workout if you stick with it. It still works just like it did when I got it, with the exception of the step counter and a sqeak once in a while. Just get the WD40 and the squeak is gone. The step counter is not reliable anymore, but we just go by minutes used. My husband uses it more than I do, for about an hour every day. A very good purchase for the money. Can be purchased in sports stores now instead of just online or tv.

Well, I've just read heaps of pretty negative comments about the LTT, but I love it!!! I'm recommending it to all my flight attendant friends. I've had it for about 6 weeks now & use it about 5/6 days per week. I love the workout video but am disappointed I can't get the Advanced Video in New Zealand. I, too, have the squeak but if you have the video up loud enough or concentrate hard enough on working out you don't hear it. I hope more videos are produced (& get to NZ) as I can't get enough of this machine.

Well I am a very hard to please consumer and I watch how I spend my money. I'm also not quick to jump into the bandwagon and buy an infomercial product from TV because it sounds so good to be true. Well after doing some extensive research I did buy the Lateral Thigh Trainer and I will have to say it was the BEST $99 investment I ever made for exercise equipment!!!! Let me tell you that it is pretty sturdy and made pretty well. Now if you are some of the UNLUCKY few who bought Brenda Dygraf's Lateral Thigh STRIDER and I mean the STRIDER not the Lateral Thigh Trainer, then that's the reason why you ended up with a piece of junk. The Lateral Thigh Strider, it seems, was Brenda's first prototype of this kind of stepper. It is very cheaply made, the movement isnt very smooth and noisy. I too bought the STRIDER because I thought it was a deal at $56. But it wasnt. Thankfully, I bought it from [] and returned it and bought the Lateral Thigh Trainer instead. Now, if you bought the Lateral Thigh Trainer and it was delivered to your home, it might have gotten damamged during delivery. Very easy to happen. I suggest ordering it directly from a store. I bought mine from [] and they had a sample out so you could try it. I will have to say that it does tend to squeak a bit when using it more than 25 minutes. However with a little grease and some minor tweaks, it is fine. I just bought the powercords and advanced video and should be getting it in the mail soon. BUt u can use free weights as well. I do about 30 minutes a day while I am watching Tv and its great. I recommend it! [] also sells it with the advanced video included and u can also buy the powercords on [] separately!!!

I think the Lateral Thigh Trainer is great. I only use it for about ten minutes a day on the easiest setting. I've been using it for about two months and have lost inches in my hips, thighs, waist and torso. I move my arms up and down in order to work the upper area. I am now a size 6, instead of a size 10. I haven't measured yet, but I think the size reduction speaks for itself. I had mixed feelings about it at first, as others have mentioned. My first one arrived and was broken in the box. They returned it without a problem, and even sent my new one before I shipped the first one back to them. So far, everything on the unit works. I'll keep my fingers crossed. It was an awkward movement at first, but it's easy and feels good now.

It's a lot of fun. I've been doing no excercise for the last 10 years. In the beginning it felt quite heavy, but it soon got easier and easier and now i'm glad i'm doing some workout almost every day. I'm making a lot of progress with this trainer and i don't have to drive to a gym. I can use it at home any time i want!!

I received my LTT and it was defective. I did not even get a chance to use it. We spent about an hour trying to figure out how it works only to finally figure out that it must be a defect. Upon looking at it closer...you can tell that it is a cheaply made product and upon returning it I requested for a full refund. I was very disappointed. I found it sold in stores (even though informercials tell you that they aren't) and if you are thinking about getting one my suggestion would be to buy it from a store so returning it will not be as difficult. I would not recommend the product though solely on the fact that it does not look like it is built to last!!!

I am in my 30s, pretty fit and work out regularly on a stairmaster at the gym. This looked like a good option for the occasional at-home workout. Good news-it came nearly assembled, as advertised. Bad news-it was so stiff and hard to work, even at the easiest setting, even after speaking with customer service and making the recommended adjustments, that I gave up on it. I was afraid it would hurt my knees or low back.
