I recieved my Lateral Thigh Trainer 30 days ago. Whilst it is definitely a good cardio workout, its not for me as 1. it has wrecked my knees 2. it has done nothing for my stomach. I used this for 10-15 mins every day for 28 days and although i can see firmer legs, i have only lost 3 pounds and 2 inches. As i'm 196pounds i expected at least a loss of 10lbs. I've consulted a doctor and he's advised me to stop using this as i had no problems previously with my knees and he believes this machine has casued the problem. If you have knees of steel and need a cardio workout, then fine - otherwise i dont advise you use this.

I read some of the reviews on the thigh trainer and thought I would give my opinion. I purchased my trainer 4 months ago and I just love it. It gives me a good cardio workout and you can really feel it in your thighs. I have had knee problems since I was in my teens. I am 37 now and have had no problem with my knees on this machine as others have had. I think for abs you should use a different method but for cardio the lateral trainer rocks!

I used this product three times before retiring it to the closet. I've never had a knee problem in my 30+ years, but this has wrecked my right knee to the point that it gives out unexpectedly when I'm just walking along. I noticed strain in my knees after the second use and figured it was just working on the muscles around the knees, like riding a bike or on the Stairmaster. After the third use, one knee hurt so much I had to get anti-inflammatories from the doctor to manage the pain. Definitely do not recommend!

I love my Lateral Thigh Trainer. Like many other people I was concerned about ordering somehing off an infomerical. I am so glad now that I took a chance on this product. The Lateral Thigh Trainer gave me a great jumpstart to my exercise rountine that to this point had only included walking and biking. I can't always get out to walk or bike so I needed something I could easily do at home. The Lateral Thigh Trainer fit the bill - it is easy to use, takes very little space, is fun and works. I now have lost 5 of the remaining hard to lose last 10 pounds and lost 3 inches on my waist. I also actually like the videos - they give you a routine you can actually follow or you can make up your own routine. Get this product use it faithfully and be patient you will get some results guaranteed.

While I've only had the Lateral Thigh Trainer for about a week, I must say I'm impressed. However, it is a lot harder than it seems. I am not overweight by any means, I just wanted to tone my legs. And I'm pretty sure this will do the trick. After two minutes, you can really feel it working your thighs. I'm not so sure about it working your tummy, but it does the legs just right. Let's just hope this machine lasts. All in all, I'm happy I purchased it.

I got my LTT about 2 weeks ago and I love it. It really gives you a great cardio workout-you can definitelly feel it and break a sweat, which obviously means it is working something in your body!! This is my first workout machine of any kind Ever..and I must say I would definitelly and highly recommend it to others.

I've been using my LTI for 4-6 times a week for 2 months now and I love it. I put in a movie and away I go. I haven't noticed any great reduction in my measurements, but the cardio workout is great. I see no reason to get the power cords as handweights work just as well. The only problem I have had is that the chain broke while I was stepping.

I purchased my Lateral Thigh Trainer about a month ago, and I'm very happy with it. It's the first piece of home exercise equipment I've actually used consistently. The infomercial shows a gal "dancing" on the machine and that's exactly how I use it - grab my iPod, turn up an Outkast song, get on my LLT, and boogie. Who knew? - Exercise can be fun! I appreciate several things about this machine: there is a good range of motion (you can step shallowly or more deeply), you can adjust the tension, it is well-constructed (I don't feel like I'm going to tip it over, even though I'm a big girl), it is quiet, and it takes up very little space. I will say that the movement takes some getting used to, and I started with just five minutes at a time. My knees were a bit stiff initially, but the instructions say to start slow and listen to your body, which I did, and I'm now doing 15 minutes at a time. I did purchase the "power cords", but I don't think they're necessary, hand weights would work just as well. I've lost several pounds and have definitely noticed my hips are slimmer, my pants fit better, and my posture has improved. For me, this is a great product.

I received the LTT yesterday, put it together in a jiff , watched the video and went right to it. I think the video is actually pretty boring, but you should watch it at least once. Music is the key. I turned the radio on and step/dance to the beat. I have a small work out room next to the laundry room in the basement - this works out great because I'm one of those people who always has to go down and turn on the dryer for 10-15 minutes to re-tumble the wrinkles out of the clothes that have just been sitting there - so I jump on while the dryer's going. I can feel the burn - and I'm hoping to see results - time will tell.

I bought this as a portable means of exercise to use while traveling. I am a 115 lb adult female who normally uses a stepper or eliptical machine at the gym so am in good shape. I felt that the trainer gave a moderately good workout BUT.....it broke on approximately the 10th use (5 hours of actual usage)!!!! My opinion is that the trainer is a cheaply made piece of plasticy junk that is a terrible financial investment as fitness equipment. It was just money down the drain, don't waste yours!

I have read current reviews of the Lateral Thigh Trainer since I posted. I've noticed many people have had problems with the "tension." Keep in mind - you need to loosen the "screw" or the black adjuster knob that will help you adjust from FAST to SLOW tensions, by twisting the black knob LEFT a few times until you can freely move the black knob "handle" without much force. If you don't, you 'll have a difficult time with noticing the difference in the tension and MOVING the handle.

I had received the LTT as a gift (I asked for it) and am fairly happy with it. The only real problem I see with it is that the resistance lever has never worked, so I can't change how hard the workout will be. I've been able to work around that though and have gain remarkable endurance. In my first use I couldn't go past 250 steps, but on only the 5th use I could get well over 1000 steps. I'm regaining the leg muscles that I lost during my pregnancy, and I'm slowly losing the weight too! It's even quiet enough to use in my bedroom while my daughter is napping. I don't know about anyone else, but I get my arm workout by carrying my LTT around since I didn't by the accesories.

I thought this would be a great alternative to an elliptical trainer. However after using it for just a short time, my knees really hurt, and I have never had trouble with my knees before. The positioning of the petals and the motion would twist my knees. When i would turn out my feet on the petals, it would help, but I didn't feel sturdy. But i could really feel it working in my thighs and behind! Just not worth the pain in my knees.

Like many people, I'm overweight with a job no where near a gym. And I have a VERY small, cramped one-bedroom apartment in the city. I have to say that I'm not one to buy fitness equipment or "buy into" informercial products. However, after reading the positive reviews on Fitness Infomercial Review and checking the good Better Business Bureau reports on the online company for the Lateral Thigh Trainer (LTT), I bought the LTT. I absolutely love the LTT and here's why! The Size: The LTT doesn't take up much floor room nor any "wall space." You won't have to move your chairs and couches to work out. If you have an ottoman, you might as well replace it with the LTT and get movin.' And the LTT does not require you to jump all over the place and flap your arms everywhere as if you're in a FLASHDANCE video. THE lack of noise: It does not make intense, banging noises unlike a lot of step-climbers and elliptical machines. The LTT is fairly quiet; therefore, you won't disturb others who live with or around you. You design your pace: You simply adjust the "tension" step onto it, and move at the pace and tension thats right for you. The LTT inc. a workout video: Whether I'm in my living room or bedroom, I can watch the (included) Brenda Dygraf video - or just pump up my music. The LTT doesn't take much assembly: It arrives together but with a few bells and whistles to tweak. However, one must make sure that you thoroughly check the stylofoam packaging for additional parts (like the computerized counter and booklets). The directions are very easy to understand with pictures to help guide you. The only downfall I can see with the LTT is that its somewhat heavy. But any good quality steele product is at least somewhat heavy. If you are having this shipped to your PO Box or business, you might want to pull your car to the front of the building or get a dolly. And last, I really hope in the future that many gyms incorporate the LTTs into their cardio classes!!

I've had my lateral thigh trainer for about three weeks now and I have to say that I am impressed. I don't know about that last comment, but I was 5'10" at 280lbs (now a beaming 272 and counting!) and I had no problem "feeling the burn". What's more is that I feel energized after each work out and it is great for those of us that are embarassed by a gym... also, i live on the second floor in my complex and an approaching 300lb woman jumping around to an aerobics tape is not the greatest to any neighbor. With the lateral thigh trainer, I just jump on and go with the flow. I love it and wouldn't trade up for any other machine.

Im dont really like this machine. Although I havent gave it much usage, when i have used it i feel nothing.. on my thighs...It definitely doesnt do anything for your stomach. And im a big woman, i weigh over 200 pounds, it hurts my knee when I use it. So, maybe if you're under 180 pounds it may work for you. But for me 1) I dont feel anything when i do use it 2) it hurt my knee. It could be improper use on my part, but never the less im still going to send it back.

I bought this because my 8 year old mini-stepper from the Sharper Image finally stopped working. I keep it in my living room and on days when my schedule wont allow me to go to the gym I pull it out and do 20 minutes or so. Don't let the infomercial fool you; this is hard work. I work out regularly and at first even 5 minutes on the lightest setting was hard. But you build up stamina quickly and after about a week 20 minutes was no problem. Probably because the motion you are doing is different than a normal stepper or treadmill and your muscles arent prepared. (Kinda like when you go skiing for the first time each season... that first day is killer, the next isnt so bad... etc.). Anyway, I would recommend this little machine... it's heavy (20 pounds probably, and made mostly of metal) which hopefully means it will last at least as long as my old faithful Sharper Image mini-stepper. I am probably going to buy a second Lateral Thigh Trainer for my office so that I can hit up a few minutes of cardio here and there when I'm stressed out. I would recommend this to anyone looking to burn some calories without having a huge machine that takes up precious space.

Just received my Lateral Thigh Trainer yesterday. And it's just as advertised... a great cardio workout! Haven't used enough to tell if it's going to tone my thighs as much as I'd like. But after only 10 minutes I was feeling the burn. The workout is definitely more difficult than a treadmill set on it's steepest incline!
