I saw P90X on an infomercial and ordered this to drop weight and increase core strength for marathon training. I injured my calf in training for my 4th marathon and needed something to do while laying off running. I just finished my third week and have lost ten pounds and am noticing increased strength and muscle definition. Is this doable? Yes! I have been able to do most of the routines or adapt them for my situation. I lost my left hand at age nine and with the bands, I am able to simulate a "quasi pull-up" and work my left chest (side that hand is missing). The cardio and strength training actually improved my cardio and core strength and yesterday I was able to complete a 20 miler after a 4 week lay-off (slow for sure) from running without too much loss in fitness. I will run the Chicago Marathon in October healthier, stronger, and lighter!

this is a pretty tough program, even for those in good shape. I started this after not improving much from my usual routines. In my 7th week now and have seen some decent gains (after not making improvements after a year and half of weightlifting and running 4-5 days a week). the 90 day thing is not realistic though for most - overtraining is a real issue here and is probably more like 120 days to get through the program. otherwise the dvds have different/weird but very inventive and challenging routines. NOT for the feint of heart.

I bought this program a few weeks ago and I have to say it's definitely serious. The fit test alone that you have to take before you can start the program was hard for me. I'm only on phase one, and I can't yet do pullups without standing on a chair, but I'm already feeling better and getting a little stronger in my legs and chest. (Eating healthy food immediately makes you feel a lot better, trust me!) The plyometrics workout is probably the toughest, but after you've done it a few time it gets easier. I've heard so many people say how amazing their results are after they finish the program, that I'm truly excited to see where the next several weeks take me. Anyways, these workouts are really hard, but anyone who sticks with them is bound to look and feel better after 90 days. Bring It!

"5... 4... 3... 2..." I tried this product a year ago. Since I began working at home, I looked into finding a workout I could do at home. Let's say, thankfully, I did not cancel my gym membership. The workout routine is pretty tough, however, I got bored with it.

Ah ,yes I too am a skeptic when it comes to DVD workouts,Infomercial machines and over hyped routines. I just bought the Power 90x DVD system and after a few workouts I feel it is what it promises -a hardcore workout regime that gets good results! After 15 minutes I am worn out and sore for a few days -what a good burn you get .I have had Bowflex,Total Gym but this is way better .

My husband and I started this 9 wks ago. We barely made it through the trials. We are getting results w/ both the p90x tapes and the diet plans. I am losing wt & developing muscle. My weight is about the same, just different. We see changes! My hubby is getting alot stronger & flexible! Thanks Tony!

Before p90x, i could bench press 245, could do about 10 pull ups and go for a 2 mile run. That's nothing now. This workout is about strength, power and flexiblity- areas I made great strides in. But the diet and supplements are important. If you want the eight pack, use the menu and tweak the portions accordingly. Eat breakfast, snack, lunch, snack and dinner. This speeds up metabolism and calorie burning. Also, for those who have been aching after workouts from lactic acid build up- BUY AND TAKE A RECOVERY DRINK right after your workout. If you don't want to buy the P90x stuff then I recommend endurox (about 26 bucks at []). If you take the recovery drink, your muscles will cope better, you'll feel better, and you'll maximize your workouts the next day better. After the first four weeks of P90x, I could actually see definition in my abs.

I picked up 90X in April of '06. I am now on my FIFTH round. If you want to see results, STICK WITH IT!! It is by no means easy. I am now 47 yrs. old and I can dwarf anyone half my age. When I first started I didn't think that it was at all possible to do Ab Ripper, I only did 6 pullups and Yoga took me six weeks to complete. Now a bit more than a year later, I can rip off 30 reverse grip pullups. I introduced Ab Ripper into my Martial Arts class and we also incorporated a lot of the stretches from Yoga and X Stretch. I wish that I had found this program years ago. If I got the results I did now, I can only imagine what shape someone younger would be in. For anyone just starting out, hang in there. You will be amazed at the results!

I passed the fit test pretty easily. But I gotta tell you this: P90X is ridiculously serious. The workouts are hard, and there is alot of commitment you need to stick to it. Not only do you have to buy the program, but you need to supply your own dumbbells (which I recommend over the bands ANYDAY)it takes more than just slapping in the dvd. It takes time determination, and someone supportive talk to about your results. Im on week 6 right now, (I extended phase one a week, because I was dragging ass in the beginning.) But just in this short time, its unreal the results Im seeing. Its mostly upper body results(serious shoulder, bicep, deltoid growth)cause I stay between the 8-10 rep area. Id say if you are thinking about P90X,Dont be a wuss about it. Stick it out for the first 4 weeks, and youll really start to see it. It's no joke.

This workout will get you in the best shape of your life. I highly recommend that you order Power 90 first though. That program will get you ready for P90X, and you will not be as sore in the first month either. Also order the bands which are red, blue and green. Also the pull up bar is great from beachbody. You might spend a bit more up front but the bands and pull up bar will help you get the most out of this program. This system will get you in the best shape of your life, but only if you Bring It!

I'm on my fifth week of P90X and while it is not for the faint of heart, it gets results! I'm already seeing my ab muscles again that I haven't seen for about five years. I'm getting stronger and my cardio fitness has really improved. My favorite thing about P90X is Tony Horton. I think he is awesome! I'm 48 years old and he is such an inspiriation to me. I can be feeling so wiped and think there's no way I could even do the warmup and in no time he has me ready to rock. He motivates and makes me laugh at the same time. I don't think I could push myself through this tough workout without Tony to help me. I highly recommend P90X. But get ready to work.

I bought from infomercial, it is a good training program, varied and difficult. One has to be in pretty good shape to start it, my back survived "phase 1" and I am sticking with it. I don't think I will ever do adequate number of pull-ups but so what...Looking like an idiot in my garage gym everyday! The diet book is probably good...let me guess? Eat less and eat better foods?? Really...anyway I can't do diets, but the workouts are super and the instructor is not obnoxious.

I saw P90X on TV and decided to buy and try this workout plan. I passed the fitness test and took my "Day 1" picture. I actually survived the 4th week and took my "Day 30" picture. I compared the pictures and wow, I was amazed. I saw a HUGE difference. My stomach, back, legs, buttocks was much smaller. I was really motivated. Unfortunately, I injured my tailbone from snowboarding and I have to stop the P90X workout. I rested for 3 weeks and now I'm back again. I feel that I have to start as "Day 1" again. But this workout is so addicting that I'm really motivated to finish the 90 day. I can tell you that this workout really works. I didn't even have to follow the meal plan and I have great results. If you decide to buy this product, just committ to it and you will succeed. =)

I have been on the program for a month and I have to say not only do I notice the difference but all my family and friends do as well. I had been doing my own routine for 3 years prior to P90X and in those three years I never saw the results I saw after just a month. I absolutely love it!!!

this was the toughest workout plan i've ever been on. the first time around i failed the fitness test miserably so i started running and doing pushups and situps for a few weeks. when i was finally able to do the workouts i didnt really see results till the 3rd week, besides being sore all over. the mix of lifting and cardio is really awesome and if you can finish the workout it's really an excellent plan. at the end of the program i was in better shape than after marine basic. just STICK TO IT, my wife attempted to do this 4 days a week and while she lost some weight it wasn't nearly like the results i saw.

Just started week 2, and it sucks. It's strenuous and the diet is hard to stick to. That being said, it seems to be working. It is still very physically demanding, and the lactic acid buildup from pushing myself hard makes me want to vomit, on most exercise days. But my body's changing. So it is working..it sucks, but I'm doing it, seeing some results.

I'm starting Week 3 of the P90X and I'm seeing results! My pants fit better, I'm starting to see some definition in my arms, and I'm lifting heavier weights. This program is tough--6 days a week for at least an hour a day, and it's definately not for beginners. The results I've seen have made me want to stick with it. I'm very pleased so far.

I can say I never seen the P90X infomercial! I'm looking for it! I want to check it out! Why? Because I've been doing P90X for 120 days straight. I can say P90X flat out Rocks! All I can say is I've tried to improve on the product and I am amazed after 120 days I can't improve the lay out of the routines. It's 6 days a week then an off Day! You have a diet plan with P90X! Don't do the Diet or something very simular then you are missing 80% of the program! P90X challanges you but most of all Tony and the workouts keeps you interested for all 90 days! I just logged my 120th day and plan to go 365 days! Yea P365X! I give this product 2 thumbs up!

In a nutshell, an absolutely awesome workout! Complete, well thought out! Challenging... And it works. I have one more week and I graduate from P90X. Definite increase in strength. Awesome Awesome Awesome program. I recommend it highly! But you HAVE to commit to it 6 days a week for 90 days and really stick with the nutrition plan (which isn't too hard) and you'll completely transform your body and your fitness level - no doubt about it.

All I can say is WOW!!!! The packaging for this product is amazing, for starters. It comes with a casing for the DVDs (with the dvds already arranged inside). One of the DVDs is an intro which tells you how to use the program and the contents. This package also came with two books. One for food and one for program use. Spectacular! So much went into this program! Tony is energetic and exciting. He motivates you to go at your own pace and improve your performance each time. This set reminds me of REAL training as opposed to a choreographed workout (although, I'm sure it was choreographed ;-) ) ~~ The booklet breaks down all the workouts for you. When I used to train for sports, the trainer would send us off to complete certain sets based on our abilities the previous day. This was identical to that approach. Because of this, I don't think this workout will ever get boring. There are multiple food choices AND recipes for these foods in the booklet. Well done! I love P90X!
