Great Product

This product has been great for me. Had trouble with alignment and ankle, knee and leg pain. This straightened out all pain. The breakin period is about a week and there may be some discomfort during breakin but follow the directions from MFG and in a week you'll feel better.

I love this product. I've tried many different orthotics including the pricey ones. I have a very high arch and after walking for a while, I have alot of pain in the ball of my foot making me limp. This product alleviates that. But definately be patient during the break in period and follow the instructions. They are so worth it and they last forever.

One of the smartest buys I've made. I used to have terrible knee pain from a long day of walking, but phase 4's helped tremendously.

I  purchased this product years ago.  I do not have flat feet, but am overweight so I thought I would try it.  I find it very painful in the arch of my feet after a while.  I just tried it again after a few years and I really agitated the sole of my foot where the arch is to the point of a blister on each foot.  I am not sure why I have this problem, only that I haven't found this comfortable yet.  Any suggestions?

I have had fybromyalgia related plantar fasciitis in both feet since I was 14.  It got so bad that I could barely stand for more than 30 seconds in one place. Countless doctors and even surgery did not end the pain. Through the years (age 26 now) my feet have gotten better, then worse, then better, then worse again.   Finally, the joint on my large toe gave from my junky arches not being able to properly support me (I dont weigh much either..) I went through nasty cortisone shots and spent a lot of money on therapy to try and get my toe to shut up, but it would have nothing of it. I was stuck in an ugly orthopedic boot...not very fashion friendly...   I learned about Phase 4 through the infomercials, then a coworker told me she had some too, and that her friend had gotten them and they'd helped him walk again when he couldnt before due to terrible foot problems.  I figured, why not, what do I have to lose?  I got the inserts in the mail, and within 2 days I was out of my retarded boot!!  The break-in period wasnt bad for me either, anything was better than that boot!  Now I dont buy shoes unless my P4's fit in them.  I dont go anywhere without them, they've even worn down the pattern underneath because I wear them so much.   I've had over $1000 worth of doctor made, custom foot inserts, and they all failed...miserably.  The P4's actually worked for me, wonderously in fact.  I plan to order a life supply of them, because before I had them it was a real pain..literally.  Phase 4 made taking a walk fun again.  Thanks guys *****

I have used these orthotics for at least 6-8 years now (same pair - they last forever!!) and would not dream of life without them.  They completely eliminated heel pain, and my feet feel as good at the end of the day as they did at the beginning.  They do take a little getting used to at first, but be patient - it's worth the wait!

I have used them for over 3 years. I have flat feet and bad ankles. I would turn an ankle on the smallest bump or indentation. My knees hurt all the time also. I bought the Phase 4 and made it through the painful 2 week break in period. I have not turned an ankle, my knees quit hurting. I would not wear a low shoe unless I had the orthotics in. These really work and they last forever.

I have completely flat feet. I switched to Phrase 4 because the other orthotics (the soft flimsy kind) did the job for running but for sports dealing with pivoting, jumping, and lateral movement, there were sharp pains. It just wasn't made for swift lateral, on the toe movements. The Phase 4 offered something better. First, let me remind people that there is definitely a break-in period. For people with low arches or flat feet, expect developing a callus near the arch area. That part will harden, so don't expect having the sofest feet in the world. Aesthetics aside, it does its job. After the break-in period was over, I found a tremendous bounce in my step. Evening for jogging it was acceptable. For walkers (any type of foot) I think the Phase 4's are wonderful. My friends with normal feet have tried it and say it does put a bounce in their step. However, after prolong use, the honeymoon period does wear off. It does work, period. But there are pains here and there. Blisters to contend with. Not knowing if such a hard insole would be good for the knee. (Note: I also used the cushions customed designed for the Phase 4, they help immensely, but you still get blisters and calluses). Recently, I switched to sports orthotic. It's soft, works perfectly, and also provides the same benefits of the Phase 4.

I've had the phase 4 for over a year now.  I use them on a daily basis and have been meaning to get better inserts for a while now.  They were the first rigid 3/4 foot insole that I've ever bought.  What I mean by rigid is that these things are solid with little flex, unlike the cloth Dr. scholls inserts I've used before.  I thought the Phase 4 would give me much desired support.  I firmly belief my low arching feet benefits from having 3/4 inserts, but there have got to better designed ones that don't hurt after prolonged use.  I limp at times because these rigid inserts cut into my low arch.  The Phase 4s were a good first product to try, but I am definately moving on.

Bought the phase 4 orthotics about 3 years ago when in the US and boy are my feet and lower leg feeling better.  If I wear a pair of shoes and dont swap over the inserts, my feet will begin to chastise me after 3 - 4 hours. Prob not for everyone... but hey ho - I'm happy as....

Relatively cheap orthodic.  Very stiff plastic with very high metatarcil that runs 3/4 length of foot.  arch is not very high and base is not flat so you get a little flex.  Heal is way too wide.  Nobody's heal is that wide and there is no lateral support cupping to stabalize pronation in or out. Device is somewhat like birkenstocks in that it raises front of foot and heal is very low. My tennis, as in the sport, shoe are really only place that is fits well and with little give in the device I'd never play with them in.  They are mounted 90% of time and I rotate my shoes for a couple days with this device a week.  My feet are high arch, fairly long and very stiff, which is the lower perecentage of people, and I can't comment for low/flexible arch type.  The shape raises ball of foot, which add to ballance.   The shape is too agressive for my foot and yet not long enough arch to actually support well.   I put in [] $1.50 foam pad as I can't take unpadded unit. I payed retail and was offended by $20 ship. All in all they are interesting and if you have a chance to try to see if you feet feel mostly better at first I'd recomend.  Without chance to try I don't know hwo I or otehr people with arch issue could ever get a great fit.  If I had a grinder I'd knock off quite a lot of material on heal. For online and relatively normal feet I recomend a try.  After 18mo I leanred to use but transition was best descrided as interesting ans painful at times so bring your old insole with you.  I have 6 other including full custom for ski..  You'd never used these for ski as your feet would be brused black. My best recomendation competitor is Down Unders..so much better than super feet and other $30 variety

I saw the Phase 4 Orthotics on an infomercial and it looked promising so I did some research on the internet about them and purchased them from the cheapest retailer I could find. The orthotics arrived about two weeks later and I use them in my shoes. I have been using them for a few days now. My right foot has adjusted comfortably to them but my left foot pains me when I use them. I will submit another review in the future as to how they work after the "break-in" period is over.
