Soloflex the original

11 Jan 2008 - Dave of California, USA writes:

I have been through many poducts in the last 20 yrs and I keep going back to the classic Soloflex.I have owned the Bowflex and have always lifted free weights, mostly dumbells. The bowflex is Ok ,but does not do the exercises I really like ,pull ups , chins , real squats , dips, ect,..... real old school workout that does not hurt my joints like weights and is very safe as well. I am 46 now and I feel it for days if I work too hard with the freewieghts. I can do a lot of exercises, the machine is very versitle. I dont worry about a spotter and getting caught under the bar and its safe around the kids. oh, you can also add freeweights if you want ,and still have the safety you need. quality machine compared to the junk out there, and it is far more solid than most of the informercial junk ,including the Bowflex. My soloflex and my dumbells and I can do most exercises and have room to spare in my garage. highly recommend it. Dave

Very well constructed

I have owned a Soloflex for 17 years. It is extremely well constructed and provides an excellent workout. It is quick and easy to reposition the various parts in order to do different exercises.

A fine piece of equipment

30 Jan 2007 - Richard of California, USA writes:

I have had my Soloflex now for at least fifteen years and use it regularly. No waiting for machines at the gym and you're able to workout whenver you want. The only downside I can think of is the straps which do not last overly long. That is to say that a pair of straps probably lasts about two years, sometimes three depending on usage. Of course, compared to the cost of a gym, that's peanuts. (Those of you in doubt about this review can flag it as fake all you want, but this is an honest review. I am NOT an athlete nor a personal trainer. I have never played sports professionally nor claim to be a fitness expert. I only know what works for me! Thanks.)
