I Bought this somersize diet plan for my mother who always complains about her weight gain. I did the atkins diet for the last 8 months and am really bored with it. I tried this for a month or so and lost very little weight, but the program helped me to evaluate my outlook on food, and it helped me to branch out in the types of foods I eat regularly. I gained some really good some cooking skills too. Actually, the Somersize recipes were very easy and delicious. The weird thing was that I never felt bloated. I rarely felt cheated at mealtime - but the snack time was harder. When I went to the movies and couldn't even have a handful of popcorn, I was depressed! But then, you can't get buttered popcorn on any diet I know of. I am not dieting now but I do practice some of her tips on a regular basis now and have less indigestion than I ever have - and I still use the recipes! Man, I'd buy this woman's diet book just for the recipes.

I have been on the Suzanne Sommers diet for about 4 months now. In that amount of time I have lost a total of 28 lbs. I found that after the first week it was fairly simple to follow the program. I lost the first 15 lbs. in the initial 3 weeks on the program. I could have lost the weight quicker if I hadn't cheated now and then. However, I didn't gain any of it back. I purchased this product at the end of last year. I was very excited about the program until I find out it requires you to eat a lot of dairy products. I'm lactose intolerant. I called the number and I was told to just send the product back and that I will receive a refund. Well, it's been a year and I'm still waiting for my money.
