I've tried all of Billy Blanks' tapes. They are OK but they are just too fast. Some of his moves, I think, are not done right. His abs and glutes tape is a great tape, but there are some moves that I disagree with.

The taebo basic is very good if you are just starting. The advanced is excellent, it keeps my heart rate going inside my range to burn calories. I can say this is the most fun way to do cardio for me. I hate jogging, stationary bike, or other machines. The key for me is to LISTEN to what Billy says about form and FOCUS. I have burned fat and built muscle by combining this cardio workout and lifting weights. I've been on it for two months now and I have lost 2 sizes but still weight almost the same. I feel great.

Great product! You feel it working right from the start!

I really like Billy Blanks' Tae Bo. The advanced tape is great. I do stress to be careful because some of the moves in the advanced tape go a little quick and if not careful you can get hurt. Overall I liked it and I mix it up with my weight workouts. I hate traditional aerobics, and treadmills bore me. So this provides the aerobics I need to break the monotony of the typical gym workout.

I thought these tapes were awesome. I used the advanced workout tape on my "days off" from aerobic training and weightlifting in the gym. I wish there was a longer tape (say an hour and a half) for a real good aerobic workout because being on an elliptical trainer/treadmill or bike for an hour is boring. The Advanced tape is good for beginners and people starting out!

Great videos! I am a martial artist and we are incorporating videos in our workouts. Great way to mix up the ol' fitness routine. I have purchased several of the tapes. He is a very inspirational and uplifting individual. We love Mr. Blanks.

I think this product is well worth every cent. It's the only real aerobic video I have stuck with, and I have plenty. It's an intense workout and I do the tape at least 3 times per week.

Tae-Bo is the bomb! It's not about weight loss initially; it's about re-shaping your body. It IS hard work. And I don't like the traditional exercise routines. And it is hard on your feet sometimes. But if you can't make it to the gym, or you really want results, try it!

For a fun and invigorating BEGINNING to getting in shape and become more fit in general Tae Bo is a blast. I was 50lbs overweight and hated the idea of normal aerobics. This is not meant to be a self-defense class or muscle building exercise, it's supposed to get lazy people like me off the couch and moving our bodies rapidly. The kicks and punches do give you a confident feeling by the time you have mastered the movements are able to do them in time. Billy is very clear about being careful and not overdoing it when your just starting out. The instructional video is also very good at showing some of the forms with warnings about incorrect form and 'snapping' your arms or legs. This is a wonderful product and I'll continue to do Tae Bo for a long time in addition to my other exercises and sports.

Billy Blanks unfortunately didn't think of his audience. An instructor will typically face the same direction as the class, or will call out the proper direction for the class if he's face to face with them. I actually tried to watch the video in a full length mirror to try to synchronize his words and actions...otherwise it was too awkward to follow. I would not recommend it.

This product is okay if you don't mind watching the annoying Billy Blanks yell on your TV. My problem with the program is that it pretends to be a martial arts exercise program when it is most certainly not. You will not learn to perform any correct form of self defense and, I think, gives some people a false sense of security. However, the tapes will make your heart beat but so will doing jumping jacks.

Well I love Tae Bo. It is great. I love how you actually feel like you had a great workout afterwards and especially the next day. I'm not really into to the girly dance aerobics and can rarely feel the same results the next day I do with Tae Bo and I also "mirror" Billy like do your right leg when they do left it's a lot lot easier that way and less confusing and your getting the same exact workout. So I say Tae Bo is 1,000% worth the money and effort!

Well the basics of Tae-bo is great. I like the kicking and everything and I was following along well until they combined like 6 different moves in "double-time." It's really confusing when they're facing you and telling you to move in one direction when they're moving in the opposite direction. Plus they go too darn fast! (I think they need to have some "real" people who aren't in such good shape to be the backup exercisers so we don't feel so bad if we can't keep up.) My suggestion is to pause the tape and figure out the moves at your own pace and then try it in double-time. Overall, I think Tae-bo is good for anyone who is committed. I'm going to keep trying to use the tapes, but I've found that once you get the moves down, you can create your own routine using the things you learned with Tae-bo. That way you can do it to your own music and you don't have to hear Billy Blanks telling you to "keep your abs tight," "tighten the glutes," "during the workout reach back and feel your glutes to make sure they're hard." (All good advice, but a little annoying.) That's what I've been doing and I'm happy with the results.

I think the tae bo tapes are the best thing out there. They get you motivated and help you loose a lot of weight. I have lost 52 pounds so far...

I've had the "Get Ripped II" series for 6 months, and I love it. The tapes are now my primary workout program. I found the pace a little fast at the beginning, but since there's only two Basic tapes to start with, I eventually learned the moves and can now match the pace. I haven't moved up to the Advanced tapes because they have a much quicker pace, but I'm sure I'll get there eventually. I use the shorter 8-minute tape as either a lighter workout (later in the day), or when I haven't got the time in the morning for the longer 20 minute workout (which is closer to 30 when you factor in the warm-up and cool-down stretches).

I'm glad I did not spend my money on this. I rented it from the library with the idea of try it before I buy it. It was to fast for me and hard to follow.

Tae Bo is great. I have tried all type of exercise tapes and I have never gotten the kind of results I have gotten from Tae Bo. It's fast paced and not the boring "grapevine" kind of aerobics. I am a little concerned about the comments of Billy not being a good instructor because he's not using a mirror so that he's using the same limbs as the audience, etc... I have not had any of these problems. You just mirror the person. It's not a hard concept. And he's certainly not the only person to do it that way.

Tae Bo is a great work out! It is one of the best ab and waist workouts I have ever done. Also, it is fun and extremely motivating! I think Billy Blanks does a fantastic job of teaching! His tapes are in regular rotation with my trips to the gym its well worth your money! try the "get ripped advanced" they're great!

I bought the all-in-one DVD to lose weight and get my lazy butt of the couch. I have owned this for about a year now and I have only tried the basic video twice. This is NOT for beginners, and it is extremely confusing to figure out the right way to move. It gets your heart pumping, yes, but it is also extremely discouraging to a beginner exerciser - even the basics tape!!!

As a very inactive child I decided to get Tae - Bo and use it every day to lose weight so I can look and feel better, after two days of doing the 8 minute exercise, I had chest pains bad and I was rushed into the pediatric emergency room so they could check my heart, this product isn't good for children as it says in the infomercial, or beginners.
