NOTHING is better

7 Aug 2007 - Melissa of Illinois, USA writes:

I started using this product when I had a wedding to be in and actually started my workouts at the gym. However going to the gym everyday gets boring so I started substituting the firm workouts for my gym workouts and found the results to be greater. It is a little fast paced at first but just rewind and watch it over a couple of times and you'll get it. You get a really good sweat and still don't use up a whole lot of energy since the longest tape is only like 50 mins. In less than three weeks i went from 135 lbs to 124 lbs. LOVE THE FIRM! Recommended to all my friends.

Start Slow and Be Consistent

26 Feb 2007 - Chele of Texas, USA writes:

I bought the system with fanny lifter back in 2003...lost the access baggagee but more importantly toned up. One thing people have to remember is that it is recommended that beginnners NOT use any weights and be sure to take your rest days. I have since had another baby...another c-section...and i am alternating the cardio and body sculpting tapes with what i do at the gym. Doing the videos is like visiting an old friend LOL and one of the things i have always LOVED about the intructors is that they look like REAL every day women! If youa re susing the firn...take your time...do what you can with each video, then try to do a little more the next time. it will pay off.

Tough, but it works

15 Feb 2007 - Jamie of Ontario, Canada writes:

I have been doing Firm workouts for about 3 years and I love them. It can be tough to learn all the steps and to keep up with the instructors, but it really pays off. After I had my daughter I was 170 lbs. Now thanks to these workouts I got down to 134 for my wedding. I even went and got the newest firm system with the transfirmer. It is just as fun and effective. I definately recommend it to anyone who's willing to put in the effort to get the body they want.

Very Frustrating

13 Feb 2007 - Jackie of California, USA writes:

A friend of mine gave this to me after trying it herself. She said it was too hard for her. I was excited about trying it out. Had the whole kit and knew how expensive it was. Oh my gosh! I have tried this three times now and have had a very difficult time keeping up. It's too fast paced and it hurts my knees---all that climbing. I feel that you have to be in shape to use this. Not for beginners or short people (I'm 5'1). Maybe the new versions are better--this one was horrible! Glad I didn't pay for it!

A Firm Believer

25 Jan 2007 - AnnaMarie of Texas, USA writes:

I have been using the Firm tapes for nearly 9 years. I LOVE THEM! I am a former runner and have always exercised all of my adult life. My husband even owns a gym, where I work out periodically, but more often than not instead of being at our gym I am doing my Firm tapes! I am only 5'2" and the Fanny Lifter has never ever bothered my knees. I love the Firm tapes because they give you a very thorough workout. I like the intensity and the effort required to get through them. I am 48, a two-time cancer survivor, and in the best shape of my life thanks to the Firm workouts!

I love this

2 Nov 2006 - Dana of Wellington, New Zealand writes:

I bought the firm 2-3 years ago. After my very first week results were very noticable. My partner noticed my bum had lifted lol. If you are a beginner, at first you may find this hard but the more you do it the easier it gets as you have to learn proper form. Unfortunately I had to stop using the firm as I fell pregnant but am ready to start again. As you lose weight and get stronger using this your self esteem will rise, you will feel so good when you can fit your old clothes again. It worked for me and Im a really lazy person.

Great, but not for beginners....

16 Sep 2006 - Lydia of Texas, USA writes:

All of The Firm tapes and equipment are great and offer a wonderful workout, but they are definitely NOT for beginners. Work yourself up to this level and you will get results FAST! The Fanny Lifter is AWESOME, but hard on the knees and joints if you are a beginner or have knee issues. Go slow and be consistant and you will get results with this program.

The Firm is a scam only to lazy people. I own two 3 tape system and they both are excellent. I bought the first because I was anemic - iron deficient - and needed to energize and balance my system if I wanted to return to a normal weight - I was underweight. I already had reasonable good health but the Firm really helped me tone my body and my clothes fit better. No more poochy stomach. And I am processing food more efficiently and still burning calories quicker. I highly recommend this system for people of all sizes. It's excellent. My only complaint is that it's not really time efficient, but the additional tapes they send every once in a while take care of that. The pamples offering advice and insight into your journey into permanent good health and helpful meal plans was a wonderful bonus. Well done people.

I cant even begin to say how much the firm has changed my body. I notice muscles i have never had before. It is very hard, but enjoyable. It is by far, the best workout i have ever done. I have been doing it for about 6-7 months and i want all the tapes. I feel like a different person. I will use it for the rest of my life!

I'm really lazy and bought the The Firm Body Sculpting System w/Fanny Lifter primarily because I thought the girls on the infomercial represented a more realistic physique than most aerobic routines, and they were hot too. I bought it and tried it and absolutely loved it. The Cardio Sculpt and Body Sculpt workouts are a bear, but it DEFINITELY gives you visible results after just 10 workouts. I could see cut in my arms and legs and my calves looked amazing. I felt more energy and vitality just after the first week. I recommend this workout as the best i've tried, and the best i've researched.

I bought the "Firm Body Sculpting System" last summer (2004) and been using it on and off.  I'm now training for a half-marathon and have been using this system 3 times a week for the past four weeks.  Although I have not lost any weight, I can see definition in my upper and lower body.  It is a wonderful system and I highly recommended; it really works.  A note for those that commented about the 10-days results -- it is not 10 days; it is 10 workouts.  You will only see results if you stick with it and try harder each time - I challenge myself every time and look forward to my next workout. Good luck!

19 Jul 2005 - Shannon of Virginia, USA writes:

I bought The Firm three years ago when I was just out of college.  I never used them, and the fanny lifter came to hold up half of a cheap desk that had broken.  But, three years later (with a new desk), I've started to notice general flabbiness, and I feel unfit, so I got the system out of retirement. The first time I did the video, it was very difficult.  I couldn't make it through the "warm-up" without gasping and needing water.  Some of the arm exercises were fairly easy (I'd used the weights from the system for training off and on), but the leg exercises were killer.  The next day, I was sore all over . . . my abs, my inner thighs, my pecs.  It hurt to move.  Each time I did it, it got easier . . . I could do more of each exercise or add more weight without soreness afterwards.  I can see definition in my arms and a reduction in my stomach flab (also contributed to walking 30 to 60 minutes five times a week . . . I know you can't "spot reduce" your stomach by doing crunches -- you have to burn more calories than you eat and let your body take it off where it will).  And I feel great!  The other day I helped a friend move, and I could lift everything I tried to and could jog up and down the stairs without being winded. Obviously, the thing about being fit is your commitment, but it helps to have something you enjoy and find easy.  I did Tae Bo for a while, but it was too jarring.  It just wasn't natural to kick your leg like that.  Not that it's natural to do some of the Firm moves, but they haven't given me any problems. The only thing I will say is that the moves where you are supposed to lie over the Fanny Lifter are uncomfortable.  This is really just one exercise for the shoulders, but I still can't do it.  The leg moves in this position are ok because your arms are supporting you as well.

I began using the Firm about 2 weeks ago and I love it. I ain't weighed myself since that ain't my main focus but I can definetly tell a difference in my clothes already. It really motivates me to keep on working out. I have been following the plan that I recieved when I bought the system. I am proud to say I tried on a pair of jeans my husband used to love me to wear and they fit again. It is a tough workout the first week with trying to keep up but now it's like a second nature. I love it and don't regret the money I spent on it.

I have both the BBS 1 and 2 systems and I love them.   All those people who say that these workouts are too hard simply are not trying hard enough.  When I first began these tapes I could not make it through the warm-up, but I stuck with it and eventually was able to complete the tapes and now I am hooked.   I have used the Firm on and off for the past couple of years and always loose inches every time on this system.  Just a little note for the people who are having knee pains, I do not climb the fully assembled fanny lifter.  I use the blue section and increase my weights.  I still get a great workout, but I don't have the horrible knee pains!

I started using the firm with the fanny lifter in February of 04. I would alternate the tapes with walking 5-6 days/week. I had fabulous results. I went from 203 lbs to 157 without changing my eating habits very much. I still have about 20 pounds to go until I reach my goal but I know I will get there. It is not about a diet, it is about a lifestyle change. I know it is hard to stay motivated and it is an upbeat, fast pased video system BUT if you stick with it, you will get it! I could do these videos in my sleep now. I urge anyone who wants to become healthy to try this product! Losing weight is just a benefit! You will see muscles you never knew you had start to appear!

This product is wonderful.  It isn't hard if you just listen to the people on the video, as they tell you what you will be doing next which makes the product easy to use.  I would reccomend the products to anyone.  The results in 10 workouts is also very true.  I kept track of how many times I did the workouts and measured different areas on my body each time.  I have all ready lost over 35 inches.  I didn't even start eating different, I just do the videos three times a week.  If you are serious about loosing weight, this is the thing to buy.

I bought this video, and it was way too fast paced for me.   I don't believe we need such a fast paced workout to gain terrific results.   It's not for beginners, and I just cannot keep up with it with any motivation.   I am very frustrated doing this wondering how in the world I will get as fast as the women in the videos.  It's too much, and it's obvious they rehearsed the moves, which is obvious it's not going to be easy for us.  I don't know how I can get results in 10 days if I can't keep up the pace.  Looks interesting if you know the moves already.  I don't recommend it for beginners.

bought this a long time ago and just recently started doing it.  I weigh about 220 lbs so I started off slow but I've been doing it for about three weeks now and I've lost almost 13 pounds.  I'm very happy with this product.   Its hard but I started out doing thirty minutes and worked my way up I'm not even using the weights yet and I'm still doing the beginner moves.  I'm very impressed.

10 Jan 2005 - Amber of Minnesota, USA writes:

I purchased The Firm Body Sculting System 2 last summer after renting a few of the videos from Netflix.  I ordered the system directly from the website and was impressed at how quickly I recieved the package.  I recieved the Fanny Lifter, the Sculpting Stick, and 3 videos (Complete Aerobic & Weight Training, Total Sculpt Plus Abs, and Maximum Cardio Burn Plus Abs).  However, the videos I recieved were not what I tested.  The Maximum Cardio Burn plus Abs disc was far too fast paced for someone who doesn't have an extensive aerobic background, I simply couldn't keep up with the new moves and got frustrated.  In addition, the selling point on the sculpting stick was that it works as a balance, weight, and the handgrips detatch as hand weights.  Well, the video required me to have separate handweights and there is too little time to take advantage of the detatchable feature.  The vidoe also requires that you have a fairly sizable open area to use.  After getting frustrated with the Cardio Burn vidoe I tried the Total Sculpt a few times before giving up on the entire system.  Testing the videos before purchase is a great idea, just make sure that you order the videos you want.
