tough workout, real results

13 Jan 2008 - Michelle of Illinois, USA writes:

I've been using The Firm series on and off since high school. I bought the TransFIRMer in Sept 2005. The workouts are very challenging, just like the old Firm VHS tapes. I felt like I was getting a full body toning workout in less than an hour, which is hard to do at a crowded gym. That being said, the workouts are so tough (I'd call my fitness level average) that I've never been able to stick with it for more than a few weeks at a time. Still, whenever an event is around the corner, I pull the TransFIRMer out of the closet. A few weeks of those sculpting workouts with a low cal diet can do wonders. The claim is "results in 10 workouts." I believe it.

Unimpressed

15 Dec 2007 - Stephanie of California, USA writes:

I bought this because I thought it would really do a lot for me. I found the instructors sincere, but the exercises were like drills and not that much fun. I also am 50, not in great shape, so this was difficult for me. I have found other workouts since that I like much better.

Excellent and very effective

21 Jun 2007 - Vicki of Ohio, USA writes:

I have used the Firm since 2001. It helped me to get strong like no other workout I'd done before. I bought the TransFIRMer system in 2007. It was just what I needed to take my workout to a more advanced level. Ally's workouts are challenging and her instruction is easy to follow. Stephanie's instruction style isn't my cup of tea but her Jiggle Free Arms is excellent. She offsets the weight training with short low impact and step routines, which I like. What I love about the Firm is that it is a serious workout that really encourages women to be strong and healthy. Using Firm consistently for the last year and a half, alternating with walking and Pilates, has helped me to become stronger than I've ever been. I'm 40 y/o and have a 4 y/o, so I NEED to take care of my body and have good physical stamina.

Love it!

2 Jun 2007 - Desiree of New York, USA writes:

I have been using the transfirmer for about 2 months now and I really love it! I have only lost about five pounds, but I have REALLY toned up, and people are commenting on the difference. And I am fitting into clothes that were too tight last summer. The workouts are challenging and fun. Each workout includes a variety of sets of different activities, and I don't get bored. It does put strain on my knees. To be honest they ache almost daily (especially on stairs), not badly, but I wonder if I may be causing some real damage. However, my knees do improve if I take a day or two off between workouts, so I've started to try to do this, alternating with other types of exercise or taking the days off (I had been doing them at least 5 times per week.) I would still strongly recommend the firm, but I would seriously suggest taking "recovery days"

What guarantee?

14 May 2007 - Dianne of Missouri, USA writes:

Before purchasing the TransFirmer I had recently lost 70 pounds by dieting and jogging. My body was still disgusting though, so I thought it was time to tone up. I bought this with high expectations. I did just what the instructions told me and did not see results in any of the body parts I measured. I was really disappointed with this product. Especially knowing now that you can find it cheaper in retail stores than directly from them! I've gained some weight recently, so I will try, try again. Hopefully with a better end result....

FIRM Workouts are The Best!

12 Apr 2007 - Heidi of Ontario, Canada writes:

I have been using FIRM workouts for almost 10 years now. I live in a rural area and therefore do not have access to a nearby gym. The FIRM workout videos have allowed me to maintain my cardiovascular/muscle tone and strength over the last several years...even after having 3 babies! Firm videos are serious workouts that are the most challenging on the market. There are no gimmicks here. If you put in the time at least 2-3 times a week, you will see results over the long run. I am a dedicated FIRM believer for life!

It works, slowly but surely!

11 Mar 2007 - Amie of Michigan, USA writes:

I started this at the end of January, and have slowly but surely seen results. I did not see the "guaranteed results in 10 workouts" but slowly I have seen my arms get tighter, and my buns get firmer. My clothes are looser, but the scale seems to be going up rather than down. Allie and Pam's DVD's are the only ones I use. I HATE Stephanies instruction style, and there is no rhyme or reason to her madness. You can't follow along with her, and she ia all over the place. I will never buy a DVD set that she is in it again. I just recently ordered the Firm Body Sculpt System 2, because I was getting a bit bored. Those are great as well. Overall, this is fantastic. I am a shy person and don't ever want to go to a gym, and this is giving me great results from home.

Really works but you have to stick with it

9 Mar 2007 - Susan of Massachusetts, USA writes:

I've had the Transfirmer for about a year and a half. In my entire active life I've never been able to get a firm butt or build up muscle in my legs. After about a month or so I had really good results by following the plan (except the diet part- I was []). My husband couldn't keep his hands off me! I have slacked off a little bit this past winter and it shows but I know once I follow the plan for a few weeks I'll be back to where I was.

Great workout!

17 Dec 2006 - Bella of Illinois, USA writes:

I have been doing the firm workouts for about five years now. I loved system two with the fanny lifter and sculpting stick. However, the Transfirmer system has taken in place for me. The is a great system. I use all three DVDs along with the Jiggle Free series. They are excellent for toning. The AB workouts are fantastic and I feel them the next day. I have been working out for 15 years, so it's nice to still be challenged and feel the burn the next day. Although I use correct form, the transfirmer can be taxing on the knees with daily use. I recommend alternating with other workouts to prevent this. I currently alternate between the Transfirmer DVDs and TurboJam. This is nice because it gives my knees a break.

Original Firm Believer

16 Nov 2006 - Mary of Texas, USA writes:

I have every Firm ever made. The best-Volume 1-6, Tortoise/Hare, Firm Parts and Strong Heart/Strong Body. I have bad knees - patellar tracking problems and dislocate them often. Early Firm (pre-14" box) uses squats/dips/lunges and leg floor work using light-heavy ankle weights/dumbbells behind knee that burn/shape/slim hips, thighs, butt! Lost 60lbs in 4 months using Firm and eating healthy 10 yrs ago at 37 after knee injury. Recently lost 75 lbs at 46, in menopause (overwt for about 3 yrs after husband became sick/passed away). The new Firm doesn't stress heavy weights like old Firm - you get more, faster results with a good strenuous workout with heavy weights. It's crazy to think you're going to effectively work big muscles like lats with 5-8lbs! I use 20s or more for lats, 12 or more for shoulder, legs - and I'm not a naturally strong person. Work up to heavy wts and to elicit a change in your physique.

Great workout but having lower back/hip pain

12 Nov 2006 - Amy of Washington, USA writes:

I really like the overall premise of the Transfirmer. The equipment is solid and they balance cardio with strength. They tell you how to be safe with the exercises (no knees past toes, tighten stomach to protect back) but somehow, this product gives me pain in my lower back/right hip. I've started the program twice and this time I am taking each step slowly without added weight and am still having trouble.

Best at-home workout!

1 Jul 2006 - Lisa of South Carolina, USA writes:

I live in Columbia SC and used to workout at The Firm. Since I had a baby, I have less time and money. I already knew The Firm workouts were the most fun & efficient way to burn calories & sculpt a great body so I asked for this set for Christmas. It was everything I hoped for & more!!! These awesome workouts fit into my busy schedule. I've bought additional Firm videos to add to my exercise rotation throughout the week. That way I never get bored & can always find a workout that fits my time & energy needs at the moment (which, as a mom, is always changing!). I love that the transfirmer is adaptable to be a: fanny-lifter, aerobics step, or incline. Since it is so adaptable, it can be used with all of the previous Firm videos. I'm back in shape, losing baby weight, & excited to see results. Thank you Firm! Cant wait for the next release!

Works fast

15 Jun 2006 - Alison of California, USA writes:

I just recently bought this product, and I have only used it a few times but let me just say, I am sore! My abs haven't burned this good in a long time!! I swear my stomach already feels tighter, and I feel the burn in my thighs, stomach, arms, and thighs...all the good places! The only con I can think of...is that the instructor's voice is really annoying! But other than that I will stick to this.

Best FIRM by far

14 Jun 2006 - Lauren of New Jersey, USA writes:

The TransFIRMER, is the best Firm workout system to date. The 3 DVD's are all great and the FIRM is by far the best workout system out there. The transFIRMER, IS big and bulky but it can subsitute the firm box (BBS3). The DVDs are fun and the instructors do a really good job cueing. My favorite is Ultimate Calorie Blaster with Stephanie and i am sure you will like it too. This is worth the money, (I bought mine in target back in September). It will be interesting to see what the firm will come out with next

Love it!

5 Jun 2006 - Ashley of Delaware, USA writes:

I got my set last week and I love it! I work out 6 days a week so its hard for me to find workouts that are challenging. This was definitely tough! The next day my butt and legs (my problem area) were sore, but a good sore. The choreography in one of the videos is a little tricky at first, but I think once I do it a coupl more times I'll get the hang of it. I really like the transfermer. I didn't think it would be any special but now that I've done the videos I see how it can be. I think this is a good prouct for anyone who wants a challenge. :o)

IT WORKS!

28 Mar 2006 - Mona of Texas, USA writes:

I bought this after having tried the firm 3 box and this is more stable and easier to assemble throughout the workout. It really does work and I use the workouts I got with the box on the transfirmer and it still a reaaly good deal! Try it and reshape your body!

LOVE IT

28 Feb 2006 - Anonymous of Nebraska, USA writes:

I must say that I am very pleased with this product.I am a young mom, 2 babies in 2 years, and clearly needed to get myself back in shape.I can't blame my weight gain on the babies b/c I was already heavier than I wanted to be.I made a New Year's resolution to start taking better care of myself and working out was just a portion.I started using the TransFirmer system, my energy level skyrocketed. I workout M-F at 5am and it jump starts my day. I'm not able to complete all the reps, b/c I am still a beginner but I must say it is definitely working and worth it. You have to work hard if you want results, if you're not willing to do so, then this isn't for you. However, if you are, do no hesitate at all. But again I give this 5 Stars all the way around!!!

Good and Bad

5 Feb 2006 - Oliviya of Alabama, USA writes:

I ordered the transfirmer a few months ago and I used it 3 times a week like suggested, but I still didnt see any results. It really does give a good workout but I figured the knee pain it gave me wasn't worth it so I will just go back to running 3x a week.

I absoolutely love this product!!  I've only been   using it a couple of weeks, and though I haven't really seen any weight change, I do feel more energetic and stronger.  It may be a bit difficult at first, especially if you're as uncoordinated as I am, to get the moves, but if you practice a little bit enough and are willing to use the rewind button a few times, you should be fine.   highly recommend to anyone wanting to get in shape!!
