I started this workout about seven months ago. I was in that just-slightly-overweight but in decent shape range which can be almost impossible to get out of. At five-two, I was a sort-of compact size 12, because I did some aerobics and weight training. I didn't look great, but since I was already working out, I figured, well, Time has kicked in and I'm just going to get a little bigger every year. I am now a size 4, strong and happy. I eat sensibly, but I enjoy myself, too. I have all the Turbo tapes, and my biggest dilemma each day is deciding which one I want to do - they're all great fun! This is the only workout I've done that has made me look not only slim, but like a person who works out - which is all I've ever really wanted! Try it - you won't regret a second.

I am not one for working out at home, especially because most home exercise videos are so boring. When I ordered Turbo Jam I specifically opened the box carefully intentionally just in case I needed to return it within the trial period. To my surprise, after the first 3 days of working out to TJ, I threw away the shipping box in confidence that I would stick with it. 15 lbs and 4 weeks later, I am searching the internet for even more of Turbo Jam's videos (beyond what Beach Body sells). Chalene is very motivational and it's true, the music she has chosen keeps you going. I have recommended this video to all my friends because it's fun, motivating, and it works! Thanks, TJ!

I really like the original turbo jam,it's actually fun and I found myself dreaming about the music and then I couldn't wait to actually do the workout.I'm not always in the mood but once you do it you feel great!I noticed my thighs getting thinner and the fat on the upper hip area.My knees started hurting but are better now,I just do some low impact.

I just started using Turbo Jam a few weeks ago. At first I didn't start eating a healthy diet, but joined up with  to learn more about changing eating habits. Each morning I use a different video. The Turbo Sculpt I'm keeping in my exercise arsenal for when I hit a plateau, same with Fat Blaster. I really like it and using it 5 times a week helped me lose 4.5 pounds in one week. I love it. I like being able to choose between loud or soft music and learning about the people on the shows. It's great to know that Turbo Jam has worked for a lot of people, including me!

UPDATE: I posted a couple months ago when I first got TJ. I am hooked. I have noticed transformations in my body that I never noticed from just the gym. Chalene and her entire crew are so motivational and nothing fake about them. I had the honor of meeting them in person a month ago. They are REAL and so is TJ. They want you to succeed I am now down nearly 50 pounds - 32 since I have been using TJ since mid- June. Even though I have 90 more to go, My energy is through the roof. Within just a few weeks of regular use, I began to see and feel the changes to my body, most noticeably my thighs and abs. I was also thrilled as the workouts became easier to complete; my kicks were higher, my punches stronger, my endurance longer. I find that I sweat more doing Turbo Jam than any of my regular forms of cardio, leaving me to feel as if I have really accomplished something. This Program is truly great but not at my weight, I have about 50-60 lb's to lose (I am 5'8) If I was about 25-30 lb's trimmer I would absolutely incorporate this into my daily exercise regimen!! I sold this to my friend for less than what I paid for it and she only has about 40 lb's to lose to we'll see how she does!!

Chalene's perky, personable and energetic motivation is wonderfully contagious!!! I find myself enthusiastically shouting back at her, and then having to remind myself it's a DVD!! Lastly, it's so easy to mock the rest of the team with their precise and coordinated moves, especially Anna-Rita. She makes it look so darn easy... that girl is bad! Turbo Jam definitely contributed to my weight lost of 27 pounds and an overall loss of 20.5 inches... This is why I don't mind taking the time to give credit where credit is due....!!

Turbo Jam works!! I purchased this product in June 2006 when I was 200 lbs. It is now August and I have lost 17 lbs and 10 inches (mostly off my waist) and I feel great!! The workouts are fun and so easy to pick up. You do forget that you're working out and just feel like you're dancing, but you are working your body!! I highly recommend this product and this comes from someone who has torn ligaments in both knees. Go at your own pace and you will see results!! Keep on Jamming!!

I bought Turbo Jam this past spring and really enjoyed it for the first 2 weeks. It had a lot of great music and was just the kind of upbeat cardio workout I wanted. At 22 years old, I started experiencing knee pain and developed tendonitis in my ankles. I have never had any sort of problems like this before and have been told by trainers in the past that I have good form. Other workouts have never made my knees or ankles hurt. I have heard squats or lunges can cause these problems to develop in people who are very overweight, but I am not overweight. I just wanted to get some fun exercise, but was forced to stop because of the pain. Even after taking time to recover and switching to the low impact moves, my knees still hurt. Turbo Jam was a fun workout, but I could never recommend it.

I liked: Timer bar Even repetitions on both sides Mirror cuing Building on each move The "pumped up" music option to drown out instructions (they get old) Turbo sections mimic interval training for bigger calorie burn Lack of cuing - when working out with a video for a long time, I would rather stumble at first than suffer from repetative, unnecessary instruction. I Didn't Like: Taking 12 minutes to demonstrate 11 moves. It's not enough to learn the correct form to avoid injury. While I like Charlene's goofy qualities, I wish I hadn't watched the special features - I bought it, I didn't need to be sold on her. Conclusion: It's a fun way to clock cardio time remembering that any video workout is apt to get boring. The trick is finding what's going to get your butt off the couch. Turbo Jam is a great motivator that I will continue incorporating in my rotation.

i recommend the turbo jam for ab workout. i also purchased the advanced turbo jam and to be honest. it was not as good as the original (in the informercial.) The original was more motivating, more variety in movement and works more abs, and the moves are much easier to follow. the advanced set did not work the abs as much and goes very fast and are much less interesting and motivating.

I purchased the TJ Maximum Results program, Lower Body Jam, Cardio Party #2, and Booty Sculpt from  a month ago and can honestly say this is the best workout I've done. Believe me, I've tried many! I can actually see results in my abs. I also highly recommend purchasing the TJ weighted gloves from  for added resistance. I purchased them and love them! I am seeing definition in my arms too!

I purchased TJ Cardio Party Mix #1 just to try the program. I was hooked right away. I've danced and exercised all my life but I've found this is outstanding. That was about 2 months ago. Since then I've purchased the entire basic program and have been doing all the workouts religiously everyday. I start with the Turbo sculpt and Booty sculpt early in the morning. By mid afternoon I usually do the Cardio Party (my favorite). In the evening before going to bed I like to do Ab Jam and/or the 20 minute workout. Chalene is terrific. I never get bored with this program. My current weight is 105 lbs., I've lost 3 dress sizes and several inches from waist, hips and thighs. My 14 yr. old daughter loves it and feels so motivated.I plan to do TJ forever and ever. It is that good!!

This is the best workout I ever done. Initially I was concerned about the price of this workout but then I got to thinking this is an investment in my health, I am worth it!!! This has been by far the best money I ever spent on any workout. I love the workout, I love the instructor and her hip style. I love the music. The music fits my personal tastes really well. I have lost 13 inches in one month of doing Turbo Jam and I lost about 7lbs. However, I only have about 30-40lbs to lose which is not much and I probably could have lost even more if I would have eaten better. Turbo Jam is changing my life for the better!! Although I do believe that this product is a little on the expensive side I really do love the workouts. Charlene is the perfect mix of perky (to much really gets on my nerves)and motivational. I look forward to working out with her and would love to take a real class. I am in average shape but really work up a sweat with TJ. I have lost 10 pounds in 2 months and am happy with the results.

You don’t have to purchase the extra’s, just buying the basic is good enough for you can later purchase those extras on the internet. But I think I will in a month for more workouts. We’ll see. I received my Tj today and tried it for the first time. I read all the reading materials along wit it and decided to try it ryt away. I was able to follow Lean and Burn & 20 min work out. However, i only lasted 7 mins for the 45 mins cardio party coz my body is really tired and sore for it's my first time. I really really sweated a lot up. I didn't really continously do the workouts. i pause it once in a while to rest and drink water. Oh man i was so happy to feel my sweat drippin. it may sound kinda weird but i am really happy coz i haven't sweat this much for a long tym.
