Great workout, results included...

2 Oct 2008 - Audra of AL, USA writes:

I used several of Leslie Sansone's workout videos, but my favorite of all is the 4-Mile Power Walk. As a former pro in the gym, this is the best cardio workout I have ever gotten. I have been out of the gym for a little while and this video truly helped me get my shape back. I am almost to my highschool weight and have lost 45 pounds in 13 weeks with these videos while being on a high protien, low carb diet... mostly chicken, fish, vegetables and fruit. The combination of diet and exercise is the key! My blood pressure has gone down along with my cholesterol, and I am slim again! This video is so motivating and fun to do. I look forward to working out with Leslie every evening. I cannot remember how long it has been since I have felt so energized and confident about myself!

Gets Your Heart Rate Up

18 Jun 2008 - Alisa of Hawaii, USA writes:

UPDATE: I have been using Leslie Sansone tapes on and off for several years. When I feel I am getting heavier or tired of being out of shape, I always start with her tapes again. When I stopped using her tapes for awhile I noticed my fitness/cardio endurance goes down fast. I just started exercising again after being away from all exercises for 2 1/2 months and I am now starting with her 1 mile video with 1 pound weighted balls. I finished it but bareley. The last time I used her tape I was doing a 5 mile advanced workout she has. Like I said, if you stop working out you will feel it. My best advice is if you do take a rest, make it short. I wear a heart rate monitor which I higly recommend so you know exactly how hard you are working out(heart rate will tell you). Her tapes in general are good. You do have to be consistant with her tapes, like with any exercises to see results and of course stay on a healty diet. Once the tapes become too easy, make it more intense my modifying the moves. Larger movements, side steps can be made into leaps and/or use a 3lb dumbbell.

GREAT WORKOUT FOR BEGINNERS

13 Jul 2007 - Anonymous of Pennsylvania, USA writes:

Five years ago, I first saw one of Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds infomercial and I decided to try it myself. Not the one that was advertised in the Infomercial, but another one instead. It's a very easy-to-exercise program for all fitness levels, especially the side steps. I am extremely overweight, and I cannot do some of the other exercise videos that I've seen in the other infomercials because there's either too much jumping around, bending, squats. . At that time, I was able to do some of the knee lifts, but now I can't do them because I have arthritis in them. I cannot go for long periods of time, but even then, I feel a little bit better and a little more energized. Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds programs are for all fitness levels.

Good for the newbie

7 Jun 2007 - Sarah of Nevada, USA writes:

This would be a good workout for the newbie to exercise or the elderly. The workout is simple and low impact. It is easy to do and doesn't require a lot of concentration. However, if you are already active and like variety I wouldn't recommend it. It can get very boring quickly. It would take some time to see results, but would improve your health- as with any exercise.

IT WORKS

27 Apr 2007 - Carol of New York, USA writes:

While my mom was fighting cancer and on chemo she still wanted to be able to stay functional so she bought Walk Away the Pounds. Her and I did it almost everyday. We didn't see huge results in losing pounds but it did keep us active. My mom has sinced passed away but I dug out the old tapes once more because I have herniated 3 discs in my lower back. I can't do most exercise routines but this in moderation I can do. Yes, her voice and all that chatter is annoying, but after viewing it once or twice, just mute her and listen to your own music. I'm glad my mom bought this all those years ago.

Good workout...a little grating on nerves

20 Apr 2007 - Anonymous of Georgia, USA writes:

I started with the one mile a few weeks ago and have worked my way up to the three mile w/out weights. I have to say that they are good workouts for beginners. The one mile is a good warm-up for resistance training and I usually do it before I begin my weight routine. Leslie has an issue with not keeping with the beat at times and there are several well-placed comments on how GREAT the workout is and how WONDERFUL the 2 lb weighted balls feel and work. It's gets annoying after the first viewing but it's not quite enough to turn me off to the series. After a few times you know the routine and can mute her and turn on some music. The routine is not complex and is good for those of us not very coordinated.

Get Moving

9 Feb 2007 - Karen of Massachusetts, USA writes:

I hate exercise! However, I bought, on a whim, Walk Away The Pounds with the weighted balls thinking the whole time "why are you adding to your collection of unused excercise tapes?" I started using them and found them to be easy and they really helped me get fit and lose weight. This is the first exercise program that I keep going back to. I buy new ones as they come out and alternate them so that I don't get bored.

I just wanted to make anyone who is interested in trying anything that Leslie Sansone has developed that they will DEFINATELY get their monies worth. I absolutely love her videos, and I have lost 80 lbs through diet and her series. The work-out is fun, low-impact (if you choose it to be that way) and interactive. I have struggled with weight my entire life, and this was the without a doubt the best decision I ever made. You will be motivated, you will feel better, and you will WALK AWAY THE POUNDS!!!

It Works for Men, too.

20 Jan 2007 - John of California, USA writes:

I was given steroids during chemotherapy for cancer years ago, and the process packed 40 pounds on me. The Walk Away the Pounds tapes have enabled me to get some of my old vigor back as well as beginning to shed that old weight. Leslie is delightful--like visiting with an trustworthy sister or cousin.

walk away the pounds

19 Jan 2007 - Angelo of New York, USA writes:

I love her tapes. I have tried many different exercise tapes and exercises but would get bored. I enjoy her tapes. it is an easy tape to do and it is fun. I have the 2 miles, 3 miles and 4 mile tapes. I use the tapes with my trampoline. the trampoline makes it less impact on my joints and more fun I lower the sound on the tv and listen to music when I do the tapes. I recorded her vcr tapes on a tape recorder and listen to it while watching tv. this makes it go so much faster and it doesn't seem like exercising and more enjoyable for me. give it a try these tapes are great

Fun! (and effective)

11 Jul 2006 - Leah of Iowa, USA writes:

I'm 28 years old, 5'9", and one day I stepped on the scale and weighed 194 lbs. My size 14 pants were too small. On a whim, I bought Leslie's first tape at a [] thrift store about a month ago. Since then, I have purchased the 1,2,3 mile workout tapes, and I am hooked. I look forward to working out, and I have never worked out before in my life. I was able to complete all three miles the first time I did the workout, but it really makes me work up a sweat! It's so easy, I turn down the sound, and listen to the radio while following Leslie's moves. I have lost about 10 lbs, and my size 14 pants are starting to feel loose.

Boring and Uninspirational

10 Jun 2006 - Krisanne of New Jersey, USA writes:

Walk Away the Pounds is a good set of videos to get you moving, but that's sort of it. Leslie is annoyingly chipper, and her banter overwhelms any cheesy music that can be heard. After only a few views, I have memorized everything she says, which bores me. I find it amusing when Leslie checks in with all the other exercisers. The most fit-looking woman (in the first video, she's in the back) looks bored and annoyed at Leslie's chit-chat. I'm sure that just spending the time moving around will show results, (I did get tired for the 2- and 3-mile walks) but I couldn't stick with it for more than a few views.

I began using Leslie Sansones walk away the pounds a few mos. ago and I love them. At first I thought the idea of a walking tape would be dull with no results. They are actually entertaining, quick and I can feel the burn in areas that I haven't really worked out too well in other tapes I have used.

I have been using Leslie Sansone videos on and off for the last few years. Now I am on the "on" stage. Been using them straight for 3 weeks now. I use them every morning before my breakfast. The one mile walking video you will outgrow fast, but I find it a great video to do before lifting weights, as a warm up. It is fast and warms up all the muscle groups. The 2 mile and 3 mile I mix up, but I do one or the other daily, sometimes twice daily. Also, I use a heart rate monitor to make sure I stay in my target heart rate  zone, which I do. For the 2 mile video, which is 30 minutes, I am in my THRZ for 20 minutes and the 3 mile walking video, which is 45 minutes, I am in my THRZ for 30-35 minutes. My target heart rate zone is from 135bpm-160bpm. I am 47 years old and in half way decent shape, but I am about 15-20 pounds overweight, which I hope to loose soon. These are good videos and will keep your heart rate up, but the only thing is Leslie's talking can get on your nerve, and the music is not so great.

I've been wanting to try Walk away the Pounds for awhile now & finally got a DVD.  Walk & Jog is so much fun.  Leslie is terrific! I love the way she keeps talking & showing that she's having a good time. It helps me stay motivated & to have fun during the DVD as well.  I ran out & found Walk & Kick and cant wait to try it out. Thanks Leslie for being so great. I have other videos where everyone is boring, but you laugh & joke so its not so dull. I work out in the mornings before getting ready for work.  But even though im tired & feel like quitting in the middle of the workout - you just keep me going with you're upbeat attitude. Thanks!
