I love winsor pilates. I have the circle and the ball workout (prefer the circle). I do it prior to my cardio workout and it gets me energized and warmed up. I do not have back pain from it, in fact quite the opposite.. it makes my pain go away and my body feel so much better and svelte. It IS a slower paced workout, but thats what makes it more effective. You know its working because you can FEEL it. I tend to do the routines without the DVD after awhile because you can get done faster without all of her talking. I\'ve had it for awhile and just started back up my routines again 9 days ago, and incorporated with cardio and watching what I eat I have already lost an inch off my waist and 2 inches off each thigh... can\'t wait to see what I look like by summer!

Like any workout, if you're just beginning, don't get frustrated if you can't do everything, you will eventually and you will feel so much stronger and flexible. Cardio and diet are important, but when I do the advanced dvds I sweat just as much as when I've done any cardio workout and my heart rate is up. Cardio is all good and well but often puts undue stress on joints, the experts are starting to realize these lower impact kind of workouts are the best excercise. Not to mention you are lengthening and leaning your body out. I don't know many women who arent interested in that. Look at ballet dancers. This is there back-up workout of choice, so that should tell you something. Not only burning fat/calories and loosing weight but strengthening your core(stomach), which in turn, strengthens your lower back and your entire body. If you get a defective dvd, return it. We're in modern times now, it's not that difficult!

I love the 20 minute workout, it helps me tone my body and get rid of stress. My husband loves the way it shapes my body, I am 40 and I do lose a dress size in 10 days when I need to. I hate to workout but if I want to see results I have to do it, this is the most effective way for me. P/S if you have any problems with your video just call customer service, they will take of you right of away.

I have always used pilates and actually like mari's workouts. I ordered the sculpting series with the circle and one of the dvds does not work - it is defective. and of course I dont know how to return it because it is made difficult to return it. So, I just learned not to purchase items from infomericals anynore.

It worked for me ...slowly. After senior year of college, I tried to lose those 15 lbs due to unhealthy eating routine because of finals. I started some cardio program and could not follow the fast pace because of my heart condition. I tried yoga but could not get into right position because of the fat and lack of stretch. I heard good reviews of Windsor and gave it a try. I have since then lost 7 lbs over a period of time. I stopped for a while and I now started doing it again. WITH diets, I lost 2 lbs this week alone. And I can feel the muscles are forming underneath skin. I like this program because it's slow, someone claim it's boring I believe so but I like it slow. It's doable and the key point is not to try too hard. I put my head down all the time because my should is not feeling too comfortable. SO PLEASE DO NOT PUSH yourself too har and you won't possibly hurt yourself with this program. Get a nice soft pad and nice soft pillow and do it SLOWLY. I love it.

When I saw the infomercial I was hooked. The moves looked simple enough. Unfortunately, when the product arrived it wasn't quite that simple. I am over 40 and the beautiful young things demonstrating the moves started with a floor move requiring you to place your feet by your ears (while lying down. Now I ask you, if I could do that would I really need the program? I gave up really quickly. I am really out of shape and it was uncomfortable...not just physically but for my ego as well. I am still looking for something a little more couch potato friendly to start off with. I sure wasn't ready for Pilates!

I bought the original set of W. P. dvds, i did some of the moves here and ther over the years but didn't commit til giving birth to twin (almost 6 lb. each boys)about a year before. I found out I was going on a team trip w/ my husband in about 3 1/2 weeks. B/f babies I was sz. 0-2 and at that point a sz. 5-6. In only that short a time, changing only late nite snacking, I was able to fit in pre-pregnancy clothes. And feel comfortable. I love, love, love the original and just start the circle serious. I can only hope it works at least as well.

This is a strengthening workout people!... common sense should tell you that you need to incorporate cardio and a sensible diet to lose weight.... Mari tells you this on the DVDs and in the reading material.... so there is nothing misleading about this.

When bought winsor pilates about a year ago i was really excited. I started to get dissipointed though, i didn't see the results at first and didn't like how only one or two workouts came a month. I was really motivated to include the diet plan and eat nothing that wasn't in the book. I found it very hard, the food takes some time to prepare and isn't what you would have just out of the cupboard. for about 6 months the dvd's just layed on the floor, but over the summer i decided to try again. I ate healthy food but didn't follow her diet plan, drank about 3-4 bottles of water a day and also worked out on my eliptical for 30 mins. 3 times a week. Over the summer(2 months) i lost 20lbs. and saw a lot of muscle definition. The pilates helps with stength and definition, but if you really want to lose fat it's not the right product, but would be good to add with any other cardio routine.

With skinny models and celebrities shown dedicated to this program, it's a great marketing strategy. However, 'real' people will be tricked if they believe they'll see results without cardio and sensible eating. This will tone up anybody who ISN'T overweight so the infomercial isn't showing the whole truth; it's only mentioned in the pamphlet in fine print that you need cardio and proper diet to achieve results. I've wasted enough time by including this in my rotation. Believe me, there are a lot of better programs that are even a lot cheaper. Do your own research. Those celebrities have good genes, personal chef and got paid by Mari to endorse her products. Go ahead, buy this and waste time and money!

UPDATE: I've had the circle dvd set for quite a while and it is awesome. I love it, have definitely noticed major changes in my body. I rather enjoy the incorporation of the circle. Excellent for toning and elongating muscles. Again- don't expect miracles- naturally, motivation, diet and variety/added cardio such as walking are a *must* if you want to see results from ANY workout, *this one included.*

They had shipped me several of these over a few months time and looking back, I really only used the first one; Maximum Burn basics. I had tried a couple of others, but not regulary. It was frustrating at first; I'd end up in tears because I either couldn't do some of the moves or couldn't get all the way through the video. If you can get past that point without throwing in the towel, it's worth it. After I started getting more fit and flexible, I started doing a video almost every day and starting seeing results. But, like most things, I lost my steam because it took lots of time, and I stopped doing them. Bottom line: if you're dedicated and think you'll stick with it, go for it. For me, I sold my in a garage sale and I'm on my next string of workout videos.

I love this Winsor pilates . The circle works, i can assure you that this is not fake. Boring, NO NO NO. Compare to Ball, Yoga. It works. I do both with slim in 6. Not losing so much but My pants fit better. LOVE IT. We'll see...:)

I've used the Winsor tapes on and off for four years - predominantly every spring, when I start thinking about bathing suit season. And, I can safely say that they WORK. Since Mari's voice can be grating and the tapes are slow-paced, I memorized the twenty minute workout, and do it five days a week while watching TV (you can complete it in about 15 if you know what you're doing.) In addition, I walk for an hour five days a week. And while the numbers on the scale don't drop super fast, the inches will. I started back on my pilates routine a week and a half ago, and my stomach is already flatter. This morning, I put on a pair of jeans that gave me "overhang" two weeks ago - and I had no love handles. It's easy, it's fast and it's cheap. You can't get a better plan than that.

I bought this a few years ago (the original one with just the tapes) after seeing it countless times on tv. I was not exactly out of shape - just looking for something to help tone up my abs. I found it very difficult to stick with. The exercises hurt my knees and my back, even with a yoga mat underneath me. I understand that many people love this product, but I would tell anyone with joint problems, knee problems or lower back problems to stick with the stairmaster. I loaned the tapes to a friend of mine who agreed with me about the back discomfort. Eventually, I sold it at a garage sale.

windsor pilates was so useless and such a waste of hard earned money that I have decided I don't like pilates at all. My back hurt during the exercise and as a physician I can't reccommend this product to anyone.

I bought this product from a TV infomercial a first for me. The workout looked fun. Once I got the workout video, it seemed they focused on a couple of the VERY young VERY pretty people, rather than the moves. The workout was fairly easy to follow but BORING. I tried to stick with this workout for several weeks. I didn't see results. Not to mention the circle gave out after a very short time. Apparently it wasn't designed for strong legs. I've been sending the new videos back with CANCEL on the boxes EVERY time and they don't seem to get the idea that I don't want their product any more. In conclusion, BEWARE this product, it's boring and once they get your credt card number they will continue send you DVDs and charge you for shipping even if you don't open or keep it! I would NOT recommend this product.

I bought W. Pilates 3 years ago. I didn't follow their eating plan. I did cut out sugars that werne't from fruit, avoided high fructose corn syrup, didn't drink Soda at least five days a week, and tried to eat mroe whole foods not boxed junk. I did the advanced DVD 2times a month and the 20 min. dvd 6 days a week, three days a week I did the NYC Ballet DVD abs, and floor bar 1-3, after one month. I also added 1mile 3days a week. I lost 30 pounds, and went from a size 8 to a size 2. you start noticeing real results after 2 months because this program forces your body to lose very evenly. If you like weight lifting you will love this the pacing is about the same. If your main problem is your lower half do the Ballet with it the combo gives you nice definition oh and it got rid of the evil pooch!

I purchased this product this summer. within the first week using the circle, i injured my groin, and spent 2 months in physical thearpy. several weeks ago i injured my shoulder and had to get an corizone injection. i finally threw the circle out. i like pilates but the circle is not worth the cost of doctor visits
