Awesome!

Well just like my review of Core Secrets - I purchased Winsor Pilates years ago when Mari first hit the scene. Off and on, back and forth...but never consistent with he program. I have recently started back working out and Winsor is part of it. I have three different sets of her programs. I still gravitate to the original 20 min. workout. I also enjoy the Bun & Thigh Sculpting and the Advanced Sculpting Circle. I have a lot of her DVDs, but I just mainly rotate these. Mari is great and if you can't do some of the moves then, just do what you can.

It Works!!!

I used the advanced body slimming workout everyday (I was hoping to get faster results). NB: this workout is basically the accelerated workout minus Mari's elaborated instructions. After 2 weeks I noticed that my stomach was a lot tighter, and my posture had improved, in terms of being more upright when I walked. Most noticeably, were my legs - they looked great - they were toned!!! Unfortunately, this workout caters little for the arms. You would probably have to get her upperbody workout (which requires dumbells). Importantly though, you have to be consistent to see results. After the two weeks, I slacked off, and noticed the bulge returning to my stomach. I'm back on it again as I have full faith in it, and will be sure not to lax anymore. Just keep going at it, and you'll be more fit - provided you don't overindulge on a moreish appetite ;) Good luck!!

Worth Every Penny!

I LOVE IT! I've tried many other programs that claim to make you "lose weight fast" but none ever gave me the results I desperately wanted. Then I found this popular program. I'm planning a cruise for my birthday and I wanted to look better so I thought "what the heck?"...and ordered it. After only the first few days of using it and watching what I ate, I already felt a difference. Whatta challenge getting all the way thru some of the 20 minute workouts! But I found myself quickly getting stronger, eventually able to complete them. Even though I haven't lost much as far as pounds go, I happily noticed that my clothing was feeling looser and my posture was improving. This has really motivated me to stick to it. I also love a workout that I can do bare-footed! Give it a try and be consistent. You WILL see results!

Not for Everyone!!!

I ordered the original (without the circle band thing) set of VHS tapes a few years ago. It requires much too much thinking and concentration to get through even the introduction tape! If you are like me, and want to just get the excercise over with, pilates is not for you! I prefer to put my headphones in and do an elliptical or treadmill workout for an hour than try to master this stuff. I guess I like to be distracted while I am exercising since that makes it seem to go faster. If you are like me, don't waste your money on this. It really, really requires lots of time and energy to concentrate on the proper form and it is boooooring and slow.

Good for me, not my knees.

I kept seeeing the infomercial on tv and wanted it, but was sceptical. Finally, I got it. I loved it! I did it every night, and loved the fact that you didn't work up a sweat. I have very dry hair and if I have to shower every night, my hair turns into a huge dried up knot. So not being utterly drenched in sweat was a plus for me. I liked that it was challenging and I could see myself improving quickly. Each day I could stretch further; I could balance more. But after 6 months I starting noticing my knees were popping out of place like they hadn't done since high school. So I very reluctantly quit my workout with Winsor Pilates. Still to this day I miss it. I would have to say, it was the most enjoyable thing I've ever done, but it really put a lot of strain on my knees.

its doesnt work =(

since im not suppose to compain for this whole review i would say tht the winsor pilates is okay. i've been using this for 2 monthes and there has been no change i do workout everyweek for 2 months and sadly it doesnt work for me. im 13 probably the youngest to try this workout. well the instructor talks too much and i guess its because im too young or something but ill keep doing the workout till it works.

Winsor Pilates Circle and a Big Bust

I am a 25 year old mother of 3 and am overwieght. I have had trouble in the past finding an exercise program that works for me because of my large breasts. Winsor Pilates 20 Min Circle Workout was wonderful-- it's all on the floor-- and it is actually working. I'm also "attempting" to finish the ACCELERATED FAT BURNING WORKOUT (also low impact!!!); I still haven't been able to make it through the entire workout (I'm very out of shape at 182 lb.) but I am getting closer each time; Hang in there because the workout also ends on the mats. These workouts are seriously WONDERFUL for large busted women.

Love Winsor Pilates!

I first tried Winsor Pilates 3 and a half years ago. I had had three children and thought I would never be in shape. After six months, thanks to Winsor Pilates combined with daily cardio, I actually saw my tummy flatten- even before children I didn't have that! My posture improved and my back pain went away. I slacked on my workouts when I got pregnant the same year, but I ordered the latest series/pilates ring yesterday and I am really looking forward to seeing results. Will post an update as soon as!

Let me just say...I have bought soooo many workout machines and everything from infomercials, I could make my own fitness review website! But now...they are just collecting dust because I ordered Winsor Pilates. This is the most amazing thing I have ever used. During the DVDs there are some moves that made me think "How on EARTH is this move going to do anything?!" Some of the moves seem so simple...but it is amazing how fast you will see results. I have reccommended this product to everyone I know. This is the cheapest, fastest, easiest, most effective, and last workout product you will ever buy.

good for the stomach

I bought this dvd about a year ago. Like so many others I tried it thought it was great and then got lazy and kept it in it's box. The first time I used it I didn't lose weight or look ultra lean, but this time I've watched what I eat and have combined the dvd with a cardiovascular exercise and am finding the dvd enjoyable and yes I am starting to looked more toned. I had a stomach that overhung my underwear but that is now flattening of.This time I will keep at it because I can see results.

Hooked on pilates.

Bikini season is just around the corner and so with limited english exercise options here in Japan, I relied on Winsor to get rid of my winter flab. It's been a month and all I can say is that pilates is the BEST favor I could ever do for my body. A month ago I started doing the 50-minute advanced workout (it was the only video I could find) at least four times a week. I can't say that I have a cut six-pack now, but my stomach feels stronger, my body feels more toned, there are less noticable jiggles, my flexibility has increased, and my posture as improved. Rather than just SEEING the results, I can FEEL the results. I'm ready for the beach!!

I've been using my friend's DVDs for about a year. This is the only video that I have ever had the motivation to do and to keep doing. The 20-minute workouts are excellent for people w/ short attention spans (like me). If I do the adv. body slimming workout soon after I wake up, I actually have increased mobility and flexibility throughout the day. (My joints will stay quiet. I walk more comfortably.) The exercises that I skip are the ones where you lie on your back and place your feet over your head; because I do the pilates in the A.M. while my body feels stiff, these particular exercises give me neck pain for the rest of the day. Thus, I simply skip these two and do more roll-ups, for example. What I also appreciate is Mari Winsor's no-nonsence approach. The exercises are do-able, and the narration is practical and not annoyingly peppy.

Major Results

I heard about Winsor Pilates about two years ago from a friend. I was just starting a weight lose program and I needed a good easy workout to get started. After the first use I thought, " I don't even feel worn out!" But the next day I felt like I had ran a marathon. I had sore muscles that I didn't even know I had! After about six months I had lost 50 pounds! I of course was on a very strict diet as well! But I will say that the workout becomes less effective after about a year and I switched to the advanced tapes. The good thing is they offer a variety of tapes to avoid the plateau! And I do them about 3-4 times a week!

So very slow

I bought the system from the informercial over a year ago and still am having a difficult time with this system. It's just too slow and boring. I don't get it. Maria takes way too much time talking and demonstrating. I have now had another child and am planning a work-out routine again. I will give it another try. I'm 30 pounds heavier now so maybe it won't seem so slow again.

Winsor Pilates Fat Burning Workout Program

I am 27 & very out of shape, I needed a not too high impact, but sufficient w/o, so I wont pass out. I bought the original winsor fat burning workout program March 2005, used it for 3 months to lose weight. I lost weight and sculpted.I have a bad back and it made my back stronger and felt much better and helped my posture.If you use this program you will definetly see results but that is like anything else. I recently started using the program again and do see results again. They have new dvd's out & sell it in a full package on qvc, I am planning on purchasing the new video's and switching to them when I either get bored w/ the original or feel I have plateaued with it. I also am on the [] it works wonders & I will email the program free, thats how I got it, for anyone who wants it.

Great For Lower Abs

I love Winsor Pilates. I have had 3 c-sections w/last one being 1yr ago. My lower abs were a mess. Pilates has really helped me to tighten up my lower abs. I have a problem with my SI Joint (hip joint)and my chiropractor actually "PRESCRIBED" Pilates. This has really helped my spine and my whole core area in general.

I started using this video about 2-3 weeks ago, and I think it is really great. I am very inflexible, and have stiff muscles. I think this video needs to be used in conjunction with a cardio/weights lifestyle. I think that it would be very difficult for someone to actually lose a lot of weight with this video.

After the birth of my first son 3 years ago, I bought these videos to lose the pregnancy weight. It worked wonders and I was in better shape than I could have imagined. My stomach was flat again and my arms had definition. Now I am starting the program again after giving birth to my second son who is 8 months old. It takes about a month before seeing any defined results, but I know I'll be seeing them soon since it worked so well for me the first time. I love doing the 20 minute routine while watching tv because it's really easy to memorize and do on your own. It keeps me from getting bored. With the combination of cardio at the gym and pilates at home I'm looking forward to a knock-out body again!

I first tried Winsor Pilates a couple of years ago. I noticed major results within the first three weeks. Winsor Pilates works the intire muscle. I was sore in places I had never been sore before. My Quad muscles were sore from my knee all the way up to my hip and my abs were sore from my groin up to my ribs. I recently had twins and have just started doing the exercises again. I am a law enforcement officer and these exercises boost my strength and allow me to do my job a lot better. I also hve back problems and this the only program I have been able to do without injuring my back more. I recommend this program to anyone wanting to get in shape.

I am 14 years old and am a little bit over weight and would really like to slim down. I would like to loose about 10 pounds, and from what I have heard, Winsor Pilates slims you down and helps you lose unwanted pounds and inches. I have only done the video a couple of times but I think it is fun so far. I didn't feel as much burn as I thought I would though, but I will try harder today to feel it. I will stick to the program and drink plenty of water because it helps me fill up and keeps me hydrated during workouts.
