I purchased Winsor Pilates and the 1st time I used it I found it to be annoying due to having to look at the screen while laying on my back it hurt my NECK! About 1 yr later I tried it again and actually enjoyed them! I've lost plenty of weight and inches and I dont diet. The tapes are slow but they Work and they BURN if done correctly. I recomment them to anyone who wants a coke bottle shape and is dedicated to staying consistent.

I'm a varsity tennis player, and being overweight really gets in the way of my speed. I watched the infomercial for Winsor Pilates and decided to give it a try. Since I'm really busy as a student, I thought it'd be great to do it just 3 times a week, for just 20 mins each time. The program is pretty good and it helps stretch your muscles, but I didn't feel sore after the program and I didn't really feel like I did much of a workout. After a week I popped in the Accelerated Sculpting DVD but I still didn't feel sore. I still like doing the program, it's just that I'm not sure if I'm getting a workout. I'd recommend it to people who want to stretch and get a fun workout, but if you really want to lose weight you should work out with weights and do Winsor Pilates on the side (like I'm doing now.)

I tried this product about a year ago after seing the infomercial a bunch of times. I know it works because the workouts were really challenging, butI only tried it a few times because I found out it was not really my type of workout. I need something more fast paced to keep my attention. But I am positive that it will work if you stick to it. Just make sure you like low-impact, slower paced workouts before you buy it.

To be very honest, i downloaded the videos from a p2p network 3 years back.  But now after seeing how it has changed my health and body i feel like paying them what i owe.  The ab routine is quite difficult in the begining but as with any excersice you will evnetually gain strength  to do them.  Ofcourse you will see the results.  You will notice the inches disappearing.  But more than that it is very relaxing, and i do it for reliving my stress.  Do this with before running on a treadmill and with any low carb diet you will definetly see results.  I think the ad does injustice to the product because people tend to think that it is another fitneess gimmick.

Hi everybody. I am 14 and I am somewhat around 160 lbs. I am also 5'6". People often tell me I don't look fat at all, that I am just thick. I believe that and I am happy with that, but its just I wanted to tone my entire body (especially my thighs, they're huge!!!). Anyways, I bought the Pilates starter kit that only included the 20 minute video, and I've been only seeing results in my abs area. Im not disappointed with the video, but me as a lazy person can get way better results with more effort. If you add a little bit of cardio to your program and just drink a whole lot of water, and do the 20 minute program 2-4 times a week, you will see amazing results, especially in the ab region. Good luck!

LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!! This is such a great workout!!! I went from 170 pounds down to 130 in 5 months with this and attained a lean, strong body! This is a nice, slow workout and if you do it correctly, you will be amazed with the results! The bulky, muscular looking people look is not appealing to me, the long, lean look is the best!! Do this with cardio and you are well on your way to a hot body!!!

I have had it for over a year, before I tried it again.   It's important that you just do it. I got just the accelerated and the 20 minute workout. You need room to perform the exercises properly, but after sticking to it (the hardest part of any exercise program).  I am familiar enough with the workouts that I dont want them anymore, but I can say this...they do work. It's slow at first. But if you arent in that great of shape or that flexible yet, the modified versions of the exercises are great.  When you see them put there feet over the heads you think...I will never be able to do it...but I am just in my fourth week of it and its a piece of cake now..and no I have never been a gymnastic or anything like that.  It's easy to get discourage if you dont have the room.  So I cant emphasize it enough-make yourself room. I didnt get it from the website. I think retails stores offer just what you need better...my waist isnt shrinking as fast as I would like, but I am one of those people that the first place I put it one is the last place I take it off..my thighs I lost 2 inches already and calves, arms and hips all 1 inch.  Everything takes time and determination, lets face it..it took a while to put weight on..it will take a while to take it off.  Nothing comes without dedication.

Hi I have the Winsor Pilates Basic, Accelerated body sculpt, power sculpting and 20 minute workout. I've had these tapes for over a year and used all of them, but I've since moved on to workouts that move at a pace that's a little less geriatric. I really loved these tapes at first because I was still getting familiar with the workouts, but the problem I have with these tapes is that once you are familiar with the series you'll find they move way too SLOW! I mostly used the accelerated body sculpting because I'm in pretty good shape and have been active my entire life, and even though I found this tape had a fairly challenging workout I eventually got fed up because I found it moved at a snails pace.  Eventually you will lose patience and find yourself moving ahead to the next series of exercises, you'll be half way through the next set of exercises to find that Mari is still up there yacking away and they are still barely starting to get oriented into position for the next set. The 'accelerated' tape is 57 minutes long, but I'd say you will be spending about 15 minutes of the 57 minutes either waiting around or moving ahead in between sets. I mean give me a break, this series already comes with a Basic step by step guide to already get you familiar with the workout, so why does she have to keep re-teaching the sets and move so painfully slow? I also didn't like that the music is basically non-existent. It's barely audible on these tapes, you will mostly be HEARING good ole Mari, and you will get tired of hearing her speaking so slow and moving so slow. In a nutshell, though this workout is very effective for stomach strength and flexibility it is way too boring due to the pace at which it moves, the non-existent music, and the budget studio at which it's filmed. Did I mention it's slow because I don't think I quite stressed that enough lol.

I'm 16 years old and i bought pilates last year around Christmas. I did the 20 min. video Mon., Wed., and Fri., and the accelerated on the oppisite days. I'm only 4'11 and 120 lbs. So I'm thick. But I saw results. Since I'm so short I really saw results in my thighs. But the program did start to get tedious, so I gave up. But it really does work, I just got lazy. For me, since I'm African-American, being a little overweight is okay, all I wanted to do was tone my body, and that is the results you will recieve. A total toning in your whole body, just stick to it. And buy it. You'll be satisfied. Today I should start back, its a five star program. just do IT, you r worth it!

I have had these tapes/DVDs for almost 3 years.  I use them intermittently and find that they do very little to my overall physique. However, I find that all other activities are easier to accomplish having a stronger "core".  These are great IN ADDITION to strength training and cardio work at a gym.  Perfect for wanting to stay indoors and not travel to the gym.  While I have read that some people want a more intense workout, I find these tapes leave me in a very calm state when finished.  I will say I find them a little slow and while there is talking between exercises, I just keep doing the last exercise until she starts a new one.

Wow is all I can say! I believe Windsor Pilates is a dream come true for people who don't like to work hard at getting into shape. I have had the tapes for 2 years, and I started seeing results in the first two weeks. I did not diet- I was satisfied with my weight, just not the tone of my body. Well, I toned and also lost weight, so I was pleasantly surprised. I have many of the windsor tapes, arms, legs, 20 Min., etc. and I rotate them so I don't get bored. The best thing about these tapes is that I learned them by heart and can do the moves while watching TV or on vacation, and it only takes a matter of minutes. I have been very satisfied and have never looked better! After trying many different tapes and gizmo's, my husband still can't believe that a weight loss product that I bought actually works!

Overall, I have to say, that if you are not a lazy person, this program is really quite excellent.  Key factor: if you are not lazy.  When this product first came out, I ordered the "whole enchilada"-all 7 DVDs.  I was not disappointed.  I got some "free" stuff, which I ended up throwing out.  Mari Winsor's pilates are great, but pass on the "Win-in-10" meal plan; it is not nutritionally effective or sound.  (Try Marilu Henner Total Health Makeover for that.  Great results!)  However, if you do just the 20 minute workout, at the very minimum of 3 times per week, you will see results.  Yes, the exercises on this DVD are what some of you like to call "slow" but the reason why they are "slow" is so that you muscles will gain the benefits of being long and lean.  You need slow movement to do this.  Also, you are supposed to go walking or do some other form of cardio exercise with it, about 30 minutes, at least 3 times per week.  If you are not lazy, you will have dramatic results.   Ultimately, the question is, are you willing to work for "the long, lean, strong, slender dancer's body" that is promised [if you will WORK]?  I have gone from a size 20, weighing over 200 pounds, to 119 pounds (I am 5'2"), and a size 4, with clearer skin, a firm, well-toned body, and excellent health by combining Winsor Pilates with Marilu Henner's Total Health Makeover.  I continue to follow this program, and have kept my weight at a constant 118-120 pounds for the past 3 years.   You have to work for results.

Hi, i'm 18 years old and i've had pilates for about 2 years now because i saw the infomercials and was really pleased with all the great feedback it got. I just recently started using it though and i must say, i am very impressed.   The movements are slow yes but the whole reason they are is so you can keep controlled movements which will benefit your results. By slowly laying down on your back from a sitting position you can definetly feel your abs working and she does this every time.  Each transition is done in such a way that it actually works your abs or legs. Its not slow just to bore you. Its done for a reason and i think alot of people dont realize that. I havent even been using pilates for that long and i can already feel my abs tightening and i am much more flexible already.  I used to not be able to do some of the movements they did on the dvd but i'm able to do most of them now. You just gotta keep at it and you can accomplish it. You also have to remember that the people on the dvd doing her exercises have been doing it for years i'm sure. Just dont give up too easy! I'm sure you can get amazing results. Iam very happy with pilates.

The program was disappointing and the costumer service was offensive. The exercises are difficult to do unless you are in good fitness shape; also I feel that you need someone constantly checking if you are doing it properly. Also the company keeps charging and sending other videos without my authorization. The costumer service was difficult to reach and I felt offended by their treatment. I do not recommend this program.

I tried Winsor Pilates after watching the infomercial many many times.  I had high hopes, but I found the excercise routine to be extremely boring.  I know I was really working my muscles, because they were sore the next day, but I just couldn't stick to it.  I think I am more of a cardio person.  If you like yoga or more low-impact exercise, this might be the product for you.   Unfortuantely, I lost no weight with this product because it was too boring for me!   My advice is to not purchase it off the TV - buy it used and try it out.   You'll save a lot of money and hassles that way!

I have been doing pilates for about 3 months now, along with a stationary bike for cardio. The bike burned calories, but the pilates have dropped inches. At first there were no results, then I realized I wasn't using the proper form. I changed my position a little, and before I knew it, I was seeing unbelievable results. This was using the 20 min. workout about 3 times a week, then I added in the bun and thighs and my pants were sagging within 2 weeks, so out of curiostity I added in the ab sculpting, and within 10 sessions the difference in my belly was amazing. It isn't toned yet, but inches of fat melted off. I haven't done ab work in about 9 years, so this to me is amazing and very effective. I highly recommend this tape, I feel healthier, more energenic, and my cloths are getting smaller every week. (from a 16/18 now at a 12). Anyone not receiving results from the pilates, are probably not using the correct form and breathing is also very important, so I would suggest trying to work on the positioning of your body, and the results will be amazing.
