I've been obese my whole life and I'm almost 19 now. One of my suitemates here at college suggested that we start working out together doing YBB. I've tried alot of things here and there. I've been doing this for over a month now and I'm seeing great results. This isn't a product you can just try out for 2 weeks. We do the WHOLE thing: work out and then abs. The meditation and breathing is there to help you focus and relax. Once we've done the whole workout and the yoga at the end I don't even feel tired like I've worked out. But you feel changes in your muscles and flexibility. My posture has even gotten better! I recommend this to ANYONE!

If you enjoy yoga for fitness but not for its religious aspects, then this isn't for you. Prepare waste a lot of time breathing out fear, repeating mantras and intentions, etc. I would not recommend this for beginners - it's hardly a workout, but the moves are terrible. The ballet portion is OK as is the toning. The cardio is repetitive and boring. The camera work is terrible, with narcissitic close-ups when they should be showing you moves. You often can't see what they're doing & the verbal cues are useless. The music is also horrible. Whether they call the workout hip-hop, caberet, etc the music is alway non-stop Indian drumming. I use my stationary bike more often than this (at least I can watch TV), and recommend [] if you want toning yoga.

I love the YBB series. I practice yoga and I am at an intermediate fitness level. In just a week of doing YBB my abs and butt are firmer. If you have any prexisting physical problems or if you are a complete beginner to exercise approach yoga with caution. Yoga is meant to help strengthen the body and increase the muscles ability to burn fat. This product does that and so much more. In my yoga classes I leave sweaty and energized but also there is a sense of calm in my body. I have the same expierence with YBB. If you do not pay attention to your body which Teigh and Gillian both stress you will injury yourself. The key to yoga success is to listen to what your body tells.

This program is great by you self or with a group. The instructors keep you up - beat and interested in working out. The program can be done inside or outside and does not need a really large space if you are working it alone. I truly hate to "work out" but I love to dance and do yoga. This program is a great fit for me!

YBB is GREAT!. Say goodbye to boring up-own, back-forth exercises! YBB is playful, energetic, fun, upbeat, and I stick with it! I have scoliosis and get back manipulations because of pain. Since YBB I go a lot less. YBB has lots of core strengthening movements, stretching, and is low-impact. The moves get harder after you know them because you increase intensity. When I wasn't focussed on "just getting through" anymore I was sore for days!! Do the guided workout first, and forget the advanced for a while because the choreography is intense. Stick with the three beginner ones for a while. The important thing is to keep moving, and the finer points fall into place over time. If you think other programs are boring/monotonous and you want something fun, girly and playful that still makes you break a sweat, Yoga Booty Ballet is for you. If you like moves to be plain, easy and structured, get something else.

This is the workout I use when I don't want to workout. Yes, it's cheesy. Yes, it's corny *However*, and this is the most important thing--it's fun! The cardiomoves are easy, the ballet really works my rear end, and the yoga gives me a good stretch. Everyone looks like they're having a great time and then I end up having a great time and getting in my workout at the same time. It's not for everyone, but I think it's a keeper for me.

I bought this product through "As seen on TV", through []. The reason I ordered this way, is because I have heard horror stories about the beach body corp. the product came wrapped in plastic, the videos inside were not sealed. This lead me to believe that this product was returned and then repackaged. I am an x professional dancer, after a back injury and surgery I had to retire. I do pilates and work out at the gym, recently Using this product I iritated my back and began having neck pains. the exersizes and t he dancing is very stacatto and jerky and not very good for the spine. dance should be fluid. for people like me with back problems or any other joint problems stay away for this product. i am donating my YBB to "IN the Closet", which donates their procedes to people with aids. so this product has become a tax donation.

I cannot recommend the YBB DVDs at all. I have been working out at home with videos for 15 years and this is probably the worst sreies I have ever purchased. I actually sold it [] after very little use. It is not an effective toning workout. The moves are to taxing on the neck and spine. Also, there is not a lot of fluidity in the movements. They are not well sequenced. I also found the cueing and choreography to be lacking. I really felt it was a waste of time and money.

I cannot say enough about how much I love this product! My legs are toned, my stomach is flat and I feel so awesome. Everyone keeps asking me what I am doing to get in such great shape. I tell them how much fun the workout is and I recommend it to everyone.

I recently tried 3 of the YBB Live Series: Go-Go, Hip Hop Abs, and Light & Easy, and I LOVE all three! They're so much fun that I actually look forward to working out. They're very effective as they have helped me to lose over 17 lbs. so far! The videos are easy to follow as the instructors add each dance move, and then take you back to the beginning to incorporate it all together. The toning portion is wonderful for your booty and abs...I am still sore afterwards! I loved these videos so much that I recently ordered 3 more of the Live Series! Highly recommend!

I got YBB after seeing an infomercial, and I was soo excited when it came in! I find it very calming during the meditation. It is the funnest workout that I ever did, which is good, because I actually look forward to doing it. The instructors are fun, funny, motivating, and seem to be great friends who love what they do. I also like it because it includes everything. You have your Cardio(dance), sculpting(Ballet), and your stretching/ strength/relaxation(yoga). Fantastic Workout that you will never get borded with.

I ordered YBB off [] about a month ago because i no longer saw the infomercial. I was used to the Firm body sculpting system and wanted to do yoga on my rest days. At first, i thought it was the dumbest thing ever. The moves were silly like "the cowboy". Then i decided to give it a second chance when my friends came over and wanted to try it. We were really bad at first of course, but then we ended the DVD with laughs and smiles on our faces. Now i do Yoga Booty Ballet more than before. I still like the firm better, just because i see more results. I like the instructors in YBB, they are always smiling and saying "yea" or "hey". It is fun and cool enough for teens and young adults too because they combine dance and hip hip in the routines. It is so much fun.

I am a certified medical massage therapist, AMMA member, reiki healer, and I adore YBB. Working a specific muscle, and immediately afterward taking time to stretch that muscle is the IDEAL method of muscle strengthening and increasing range of motion. Muscle strenthening is not always about increasing the SIZE of a muscle, but strenthening it to support your body properly. Strengthening muscles also helps alleviate pain in other muscles. YBB is FUN, POSITIVE, RELAXING, INVIGORATING and CHALLENGING! Dancing is so fun, it may take a few tries to master the footwork, but the routine is repeated, adding one step onto the end each time, so you're sure to get it by the end. Gillian and Teigh are so encouraging, they have fun, and smile a lot. The music is FANTASTIC, some soft premixed beats and melodies, and a cute boy jamming on everything from djembes to shakers. None of that cheezy dance hall workout crap music.

Everytime I finish this workout I'm drenched in sweat. I have dance background that's why I got this product. I feel good about myself after I do it. It does a good job at getting you to your max heart rate and then relaxing you. I will say that if I had never done Yoga or Dance before I would probably be a little lost in the beginning but that's ok cause there is a section of the beginners DVD that instructs you on Yoga and Ballet lingo. It's a fun way to release endorphins. It's meant for people in between fitness fanatic and people who don't excercise at all. It isn't traditional ballet, but that's because they put they're own spin on it. Plus I don't think the average woman would want thick ballerina thighs, which would come from traditional ballet excercises.

I'm always amazed at the negative reviews because I love this workout series. It's fun and the perfect antidote to "serious fitness". I've owned well over 100 fitness DVDs and in terms of results, this gives me what I need without causing me to bulk up or requiring tons of gadgets that clutter my living space. I ordered the Goddess Package that included the Abs and Sculpt workouts, and was amazed at how HARD my abs were after doing only Abs 1 + 2. I'd never gotten such incredible results. I'm an intermediate exerciser and I always break a sweat, not to mention have fun. Another area that gtes worked out are my feet. My arches tend to cave inwards and these workouts have done wonders for stregthening them, without even trying. I bought the Live! series and the Masters series is on its way!

I do not recommend yoga booty ballet if you are at all obese. I want to lose about 130 lbs. and saw the infomercial talking about how much fun this product is so I ordered it. I tried it for about 2 weeks and ended up sending it back. It wasn't fun. The workout moves way too fast and never really explains the moves. If you are already in shape I think this is a great way to stay there, otherwise it's pretty worthless.

I really did not like this product. It was way too crazy and sloppy .. I dance all the time and this one was just.. all over the place and the instructors were really silly. I enjoyed the YBB series becasue I really felt the work in my butt afterwards. I used to do ballet-- and I'd really forgotten how much you get from leg lifts* This set-- I didn't feel a thing. There is no cardio in either of the YBBs... This was just a silly workout. However.. for beginners-- it might be preferred because it is not too strict on doing things correctly. you can mess up and that is "ok" ~~ Fall over and it is "ok" .. Wobble.. and it is "ok" -- I'm not really sure if that's good or bad... If you learn to do something incorrectly.. nipping bad habbits in the butt is twice as hard.. and if you are doing something wrong-- you are most likely not feeling what you're supposed to be feeling where you're supposed to be feeling it........ So yeah... This set wasn't for me. I'm kind of wary to purchase their next set-- the "Master Series"

I love Yoga Booty Ballet. It has done for me what no other program has - reduced my saddlebags. In 6 weeks of following the Intermediate program, I lost 1.5 inches off the top of my thigh right off the saddlebag. I also lost 1.5 inches off my waist. Just in time to look fabulous on my trip to Hawaii. I'm continuing with the program and expect more results. This program is not for you if you don't like New Age affirmations. I do like them. Each workout has a brief meditation and affirmation portion before and after the workout. During the workout, Gillian and Teigh give more encouraging affirmations that sound like they may be from the kundalini school of yoga. It is just the right amount of affirmations, not overdone. I also like the exaggerated "whoosh" breathing they coach you on, because it reminds you to breathe during times you would naturally (and incorrectly) be holding the breath. As with any abs workout, you need to remember not to pull on your neck when doing crunches, or - you might get neck pain. Isolate the move where it belongs...in the abs. The abs/core workouts included in the Goddess set are a full torso and abs workout. They WORK! I am a 40 year old woman and this workout has done wonders for me. The set includes people of all shapes and shows modifications on all the exercises for beginners. The standing leg lift ballet portion is GREAT! It really works on the legs, saddlebags and glutes. This portion has done more for my legs and glutes than running. Everything is tighter and visibly lifted. This is a program that progresses with you as you improve and addresses the mental and emotional aspects of fitness as well as the physical. As with any exercise program, Yoga Booty Ballet works if you work it, and you are responsible for yourself when you are home pushing play to listen to your body and not overdo it. The various exercises and the philosophy of listening to your body to find your correct level of exertion are covered in the included "Rehearsal" portion of the program. I rate Yoga Booty Ballet 5 stars and will be buying their new Live workouts as well. GREAT JOB GILLIAN & TEIGH!

This product is falsely advertised. I do not think it's effective for weight loss or toning...the only thing it's good for is maybe some relaxation..not even. I brought it from Beachbody, but I wish I had spent the $40.00 plus shipping and handling making it $50.00 on a better workout. I'm in pretty good shape, I've always worked out and I wanted to add some variety to my usual toning exercises and I wanted to add some cardio to my workouts; I thought this YBB looked like it, but I'm really disappointed because it's just not an effective workout. It's not good for toning or for cardio. Its not bad for cardio, but its not worth the cost either. I have the Yoga Booty Ballet DVD that includes the rehearsal and guided meditation (14 minutes) and the basic and the advanced workout. The basic is 45 minutes wasted off your life. The advanced "fat burning" ha! Is another 60 minutes of even more time wasting. The basic is the biggest waste of time, this includes a 5-7 minute warm-up then the cardio or sculpt routine consists of moving side to side for the entire workout with dumbbells in your hands. I kid you not, that's all it is! Your legs keep moving side to side while you alternate moving your arms up and out to the side. Wow, like I couldn't have just moved side to side with dumbells in my hands without this tape?! How lame! There is an ab routine where you'll need that useless "squishy ball"...it's just basic crunches with a ball tucked under your legs. Then there is a brief 15-minute ballet routine, and it's not "ballet", it's essentially standing sidekicks, front kicks, and back kicks, but I guess it wouldn't sell if they called it "standing side kicks." Not the most effective workout for cardio or toning. NEXT! Maybe the advanced routine will be promising? NOPE. You will now do an "advanced dance" which is basically what was once upon a time called "aerobics", but they are calling it "dance" in this tape, and yet it's not really dancy...it's a basic 20 minute low impact aerobics routine; thats not long enough to really have a great cardio workout and its essentially the only cardio workout on the whole DVD! You'll find Gilligan, I mean Gillian will get on your nerves here because shes like a bad actress and she needs to stop laughing for no reason because it makes her seem like she's "slow". The ballet section in the advanced is pretty much the same deal as was in the basic, only it's longer. I don't really do the yoga sections, I've done them once or twice and they don't really do much more than some light stretches and lay on mats while some sort of supposedly "inspirational" B.S is said. I do not recommend this "workout" because you will be disappointed to see that almost everything on this tape is stuff you could have done without the tape, and the main point is that its just not an effective workout. I have the Winsor pilates tapes and though they are boring you wont care that they are boring because it is very effective for toning. If you are already in good shape you will be bored and disappointed with Yoga Booty Ballet. If you want toning I would highly recommend Winsor pilates, and if you want cardio I could think of 100 tapes that would be better than this, they may not be advertised as fun, but unlike this, they will actually get your heart rate up and work. If you still want to try this, then try to buy it [] where you might find it for less than $50.00.

This DVD series is a bit overstated and misrepresented as to what it can do for your body and as to it being used by all levels of fitness. This is truly and intermediate to advanced exercise DVD with much lacking in instruction, direction, and workout content. This actually upsets me, since I purchased it as a newbie to all of it. Now months later, after really becoming a yoga addict, I have learned what is wrong with this workout series. 1. The ballet section does absolutely nothing for my body. I have better results with doing Yoga or a Tamilee Webb workout. I felt nothing after I did this section. 2. The weight lifting aerobics is not beneficial for proper form while trying to lift weights while doing a squat for an example. It's a fat burner, but not a muscle builder. Toning is about the best you can achieve which is fine if that is all you are looking for. Just watch out for muscle strain in the back and over the knees with improper alignment. 3. The dance section is absolutely dangerous for those that are stiff and just starting out. You will pull or strain something if not careful. These are truly advanced moves as I did. True Yoga was the only thing to limber me up and repair my injury from this workout. 4. The yoga section is intermediate to advanced, and uses many different types of asanas from many different forms of yoga. This is more like Ashtanga (power Yoga)with a mix of Kundalini, some Hatha, and a touch of Iyengar. The moves don't typically flow well. This is not for the beginner to yoga. They do little to explain proper positioning and breathing in sequence with the moves. Intermittent instruction is about it. Many of the moves are for exprienced yoga practitioners, and some of the moves can injure your back, hamstrings or groin area if you do not understand fully the objective of the move to the muscle. Needless to say this set of DVD's will be going to a DVD Swap.
