sculptor is painful to use

21 Apr 2008 - ann of california, usa writes:

I'm very disappointed in this product. The "sculptor" is very uncomfortable, actually, painful to use, I felt it may even bruise my legs with ongoing use. The instructions are frustrating as each "session" lasts only a few minutes, one then has to stop and reprogram it onto the next few minutes session, plus many of the exercises are exactly the same in each session. I know I could develop my own 20-30 minute routine, but the sculptor is too painful to consider this. Fortunately, I had it delivered to Walmart so didn't lose money on shipping/handling, and it's being returned tomorrow.

do not buy

22 Mar 2008 - chris of denver, colorado, usa writes:

What a waste of time and material. These videos are way to short to get any kind of work out. I had to keep pressing rewind and play again at least 6times to even make it feel as if i was trying to work out. I could do better on my own. Plus they will try and get you if you dont call imediately and quit. They will send you boosting vitamins and extra videos. If the pills actually give you energy when are you supposed to use it the video lasts only three minuets. Don't waste your money use it on a gym.

Not worth it...

5 Mar 2008 - Melissa of Pennsylvania, USA writes:

I've had the zone pilates for a couple of months and haven't seen any results. I've noticed that the more I use the zone trainer, the less resistive it is. I thought maybe because I was getting stronger. When I first got the zone pilates, I had a friend of mine try out the resistance on it. I had her recently try it again and she said it definitely isnt as resistive as it was before. I haven't seen any results, the zone trainer is very uncomfortable, and the dvd is way too short and boring.

The BEST Product For Me!!!

18 Jan 2008 - Robin of Louisiana, USA writes:

I love zone pilates. I used it along with decreasing caloric intake and I lost 20 lbs. I starting seeing results within the first few days. I love that the video is short because it is easy to get through the entire video. And it does not interfere with daily activites. I have more energy and many compliments in the first week. I lost five pounds in the first week. I highly recommend zone pilates.

Hurts the thighs

3 Jan 2008 - barbara of Wisconsin, USA writes:

I find the DVD useless. Watch it once then adapt it to your liking. To relieve the pain it causes at the thigh area wrap either a towel around each side of the bar, or if you can use foam. It decreased the amount of pain. I like it more for upper body than lower body, and it travels well.

Works for Me!

28 Dec 2007 - N of New York, USA writes:

I was a little disappointed with the product until I bought 1.5lb ankle weights. They made such a difference! Paired with the workout, I started to see a difference in 3 weeks in my arms, butt, and abs. It's a great workout for those of us that don't have much time, but make sure you use the ankle weights as well.

A great toner!

22 Oct 2007 - Michelle of New Jersey, USA writes:

I don't really use the video anymore, but I have created my own workout from the dvd in additon with my cardio. It has really toned and firmed up my upper thighs, and my abs feel a little tighter. It gives me a little bounce of strength to my cardio workouts.

Don't Bother!

11 Sep 2007 - Robin of Virginia, USA writes:

I wanted to try something new, so I purchased the Zone Pilates. I am a fan of The Firm and I use small hand weights at home. So I am use to getting a good workout. I am so dissapointed with this exercise program. I feel like I have not gotten a workout at all. I even did it twice in one setting. I and am going to return it tomorrow.

Not worth the trouble

22 Aug 2007 - Jessie of Colorado, USA writes:

I ordered this product thinking that it would be an affective way to tone up a little before going on vacation. After one time of watching the video I realized that I wasted my money and I just used the ring to do my own workouts without the video. The video wasn't motivational at all. If the instructor was in better shape maybe I would have felt less discouraged and had more faith that the program actually worked. I learned my lesson.

Worth the money

4 Jul 2007 - Gretchen of Arkansas, USA writes:

I liked the product. I wasn't that excited about the video but I do the video and then use the ring with the other pilates, like winsor. I do my own exercises with it and helps me have to do less repetitions. I do think the product should have been a little cheeper. But I got mine at a local store so I didn't pay S&H.

It's Awesome!

12 Jun 2007 - Emmy of Illinois, USA writes:

I have been using zone pilates for 3 weeks now. My muscles are starting to tone especially in the arm and ab area. The dvd is very frustrating like everyone else says because it's too short and it doesnt guide you how to breathe and warm up. But since Ive been a huge fan of winsor pilates, I do my own warm up and breathing which are very important. I dont watch the dvd but I perform the same exercise but extending the time of work out. I start to sweat and so far ive lost 3 lbs.

Not Worth The Money

14 Apr 2007 - Jo of Hawaii, USA writes:

Paid way to much for this product in shipping alone. The ring is ok but don't know if it's actually doing much. Video only 10 - 15 mins long. Better off with Billy Blanks or Core Secrets!

I wasted my money

8 Apr 2007 - April of North Carolina, USA writes:

I ordered my Zone Pilates system in mid March and received it this past Thursday. I have used it 3 times since receiving it. The DVDs...which is 1 dics...are very short..totaling about 30 minutes for the whole thing. The ring is not comfortable...it actually hurts!!! All in all, I think I have wasted my money. I will give it a chance, simply because I spent way more than what this system is worth.

Don't do it

21 Mar 2007 - Latoya of Texas, USA writes:

I bought this product hopingit would help me lose these last nagging 15 lbs. The DVD's came no instructions on how often to do the exercises, in what sequence or when to advance to the next video. Customer service is useless. And the videos are really short, like 10-15 mins. You do feel a burn but you just don't feel like you are really doing anything. I could've saved my money.

Disappointing

15 Sep 2006 - Jena of Ohio, USA writes:

I just received the product yesterday, but after trying the workout, don't believe it will be effective. I love pilates, have been doing pilates for years and consider myself at the advanced pilates level. This workout has very little to do with pilates. It also is extremely short, I did not feel challenged, the abs workout was very minimal and the bar felt uncomfortable. Also the feet positioning mat is not sturdy enough to work out on, it slides under your feet and sticks to them, making it impossible to use. The video does not offer the worm up / cool down or stretches part that is so important to any workout routine and is an essential part of pilates. I will give it an honest chance before entirely dismissing it - just because I spent money on it, but overall I feel very disappointed.

Save your money

14 Apr 2006 - Paradise of California, USA writes:

I bought this products a few weeks ago and after using it I did not feel that it was giving me a good workout. The dvd was too short and I felt nothing. I was hoping that it will help me tone my thighs and arms but since there isn't a good resistance on the equipment I don't think it will ever produce the results I would like. Save your money and just do lundges and squats..

7 Jan 2005 - Sandy of Ohio, USA writes:

My worst fitness purchase of 2004! Beware this is not even Pilates.  If you want to learn pilates try Winsor, or Stott Pilates, or Pilates on the Go.  This is a cheap attempt to capitalize on the Pilates trend.  The DVD stinks--three workouts but they only top out at about 30 min for all three together.    The foot mat is superfluous, the ab work is minimal.  Basically these are simple body sculpting exercises--triceps presses, squats, leg lifts.  There is no warm-up, cool down or stretch on this DVD.  The instructor has no rapport with the viewer, the picture is not clear.  The ring hurts.  Blech! Save your money on this one.

2 Nov 2004 - Nancy of Illinois, USA writes:

I love my Gazelle, which is great for cardio and general toning, and helped me lose 55 lbs - but I also need to tone my large midsection, so I bought the Zone Pilates ring. It isn't "orthodox" Pilates, but I definitely work more muscle groups with less reps when using the Zone ring. I haven't been using it very long, but can already see the difference in the trouble areas: the "bat wings" under my arms, my abs, my butt, and my thighs are all toning more quickly. It has been worth the cost for me.

I've been using zone pilates for about 6 weeks now, and it's not worth your money!!  I haven't seen any results, and the exercises have nothing to do with pilates.  Save your money.
