A Postive Fitness Experience

6 Aug 2008 - Nancy of New Jersey, United States writes:

I enjoy dance and have tried other dance tapes. Core rythms was one I tried and loves it! The person talks all in English and goes at a pace that is very easy to pick up all the movements. Zumba, on the other hand goes at a faster pace and is also great! I have limited Spanish skills and this just makes me look up a few spanish words to understand better. I find, however, that dance is a universal language and that its just a little more of a challenge not quite understanding the language at first. Later, it really doesn't present any problem. The moves are fun and I find all the instructers to be easy to follow, once you get used to the Zumba rythm.

Amazing!

31 Jul 2008 - Kristy Orser of Alberta, Canada writes:

I love these videos! I have a ridiculously large collection of exercise videos, ranging from resistance, aerobics and yoga to all different types of dance. Unfortunately I get bored/annoyed with them easily and never seem to use them for longer then a month. I love that they don't talk a lot or slow things down for instruction. I watched the instructional video a few times and then muddled my way through (with very little coordination I might add) for the first two weeks. Now that I've gotten the hang of it I still am not bored and because the pace is so fast I do not get annoyed and there is no fast forwarding to the useful parts as they are all useful. I've been using it for about four months now and see no signs of stopping or getting bored anywhere in the near future. I can't say enough how much I love this product! It's a great fast paced workout that never feels like a workout (until you stop, then you're exhausted lol). Highly highly highly recommend. I'm hooked.

Waste of Money!

23 Dec 2007 - Vikki of Texas, USA writes:

I purchased the Zumba DVDs because I wanted to change my workout routine. I had heard alot about Zumba and how good it is. I ordered Zumba and upgraded to 3 day shipping, too bad I can't get my shipping money back, but anyway I was very excited when I received my Zumba dvds. I did the workouts for three days straight, the fourth day I sent them back. The dance routines are horrible. Beto doesn't speak english so he had someone else translate for him, they didn't have set routines and kept running into each other. I didn't break a sweat or feel anything and I workout at least six days a week. This has got to be one of the worse workouts next to The Firm Transfirmation that I have ever purchased. When I called Zumba returns to get a return authorization number the guy with customer service told me that for 2008 they were coming out with a killer dvd workout series, I told him that this one should have been a killer instead of a dude with a cheesy background and subpar dance routines. Don't waste your money on this! The cost of the shipping to get it and send it back will probably total the $49.99 that the dvds cost me, but I don't care. I didn't want to keep dvds that I wouldn't be using.

Whopee

14 Apr 2007 - Shirlanne of Ontario, Canada writes:

The most fantastic, fun, four years I've had with home workouts. The music is 'caliente', the instructor cute, the exercise crew could be my hang-out friends. I am happy and trim and I don't even feel like I'm exercising. The way all exercise workouts SHOULD be. Definitely a TEN in my VCR book!

BYE BYE LOVE HANDLES

31 May 2006 - Wanda of Georgia, USA writes:

I have worked out with Beto's first Zumba series and was happy with it. But the Power/Rapido video is much more enjoyable! I know now whey Latinas who dancde have such slim waistines. I have grown tired of masculine workouts and the results they produce. I love the dances, the costumes, and the sweat Zumba produces. I feel it working my torso, abs, arms and I know it will help me to finally achieve a slimmer waistline. Great Work Beto and Crew!

I am a huge fan of this Dance Workout, I mean HUGE! What's not to love, you dance to good music, you burn calories and you have fun while you do it!! I've tried other types of workouts but I just couldn't find any desire to continue any type of routine. They bored me to death after a couple weeks. This is definitely not the case with Zumba. I love it and HIGHLY recommend it to everyone!!

I love this workout.  I have tried many.  I love to dance and this video is easy to follow.  I get a great total body workout and have fun at the sametime.  I have 4 small children and can easily get distracted from working out but Zumba keeps me motivated. My goal is to have people say "She has 4 kids!" and I am almost their-Thanks Zumba

I just received my copy of Zumba last week, and it does want to make you want to join in, but then I've always loved to dance. It is a "low budget" production, or has that appearance anyway. They need to be more smooth and professional. Nathalie's English does leave some to be desired, and there is relatively little instruction, which makes the moves difficult to follow. The music could definitely be louder, and the dance steps could be 1)explained better, 2)repeated more than two or three times to make it easier to pick up. They probably should do dance work-outs all in normal (the slower) pace before introducing work-outs with the fast pace, just so you can more easily pick-up the steps. The beginner work-out does not introduce you to all of the dances or moves they use in the advanced and rapido work-outs. Overall, however it is very enthusiastic, makes you work up a great sweat, and it is great fun. I am glad I bought it. I look at it only as a cardio routine, not an aerobic work-out because it really isn't. Thank you, and I would buy future releases.

I love Zumba! It it the best product for weight loss and it also teaches you to dance. The crew is energetic and hot, it makes you think of them as a goal and how that is how'd you'd wanna look. All the songs are very lively  and makes you wanna dance. The result are great and it makes you sweat like crazy.....I can run or go bicycling but nothing made my clothes so wet as Zumba. Thank you Beto!!

15 Dec 2004 - Emily of Michigan, USA writes:

I bought the original set of Zumba tapes (steps, beginner and advanced) about 2 years ago and have consistently used them.  I was soooo happy to hear that there was a new set because I was starting to get bored w/ the advanced workout.   I love the music and new dance steps.  I was a little disappointed however because I thought the advanced workout would be a 60 min workout, and that the rapido workout would be the same but much more intense.  They are unfortunately much shorter than 60 min and what is called the beginner workout is nothing more than the steps instruction. Basically the Tono section of the old advanced workout was removed so the new advanced workout is shorter.  I don't really like the ab/buns/thighs workout though.   There is way too much time between each move.  Not a big deal though.   I'll just find a different toning workout to supplement the great cardio workout I get from Zumba. I think the music could have been a little louder.  I'm having slight difficulties making sure I'm exactly on beat for some of the songs. (I'm a dancing perfectionist!) Overall however I am extremely pleased with Zumba.  In combination w/ WW and some other exercises, Zumba (and Beto) has helped me lose almost 30 pounds.   It is so energizing and makes me feel sexier.  Especially when I go dancing!! I would do almost anything for a Zumba class in the metro Detroit area!!

This is a revolutionary product!!! I've tried Tae Bo, Winsor Pilates and the Ab Swing--all to try and keep myself fit at home...but NOTHING is as fun as Zumba! I'd get sooooo bored with the first two products after a few months but Zumba makes me wanna get out of bed, join Beto and his friends and dance away! Before you know it, you work up a sweat but you're still smiling, not being able to wait to get to the next dance section! Whether you've been dancing for years or have never danced professionally in your life, like me, Zumba will change the way you look at aerobics!

Although it's a little cheesy, Zumba is a great program. No, Berto doesn't explain the moves as well as some other videos might, but they are very easy to pick up if you stick with it. I have never had so much fun with a video - much better than other dance-based programs I have tried. The people look like they are having a great time and it's contagious. I really do look forward to doing Zumba...

I had a chance to buy the 2 DVD set with beginners & advanced for a ridiculous price of $4.00 and thought, what the heck.  I have arthritis in my knees, hips & back, and love to dance, but I didn't know what to expect.  I love this workout! I do have to modify a lot of the up and down movements using my knees, but it's the first home exercise program that I've actually looked forward to doing at 5:30a.m.! Yes, the moves take a little time to learn, but if you are the least bit coordinated, and with repetition, you will pick them up.  The dancers are very energetic and it's very contagious!  Even if you just move as much as you can to the music, it's worth the effort!

Zumba is beginner is great for people who are just starting out.  Zumba advanced is for the more graceful people in the world.  The videos are great fun.  They are upbeat and do not have the usual elevator music that you hear in exercise videos.  What can be more fun than losing weight while dancing?
